Pretty standard menu, but it all looks good. And it all was good. I got a birria eggroll, some esquites, and a pastor torta. The torta was absolutely excellent. Great bread, great meat, fresh veggies. A combination of flavors and textures that was just right. I wasn't even super hungry and polished off the whole thing, and it was pretty big. The equitos were very good. You can also get elotes. The birria eggroll was also very good. A very good eggroll, and very good birria, and a cup of consommé on the side. To me the two don't really go together well, but it's a fad now. There has to be birria in everything. The wrapper was great and fried up perfectly, the meat was tender and tasty. It does work, don't get me wrong, but it's really pushing the eggroll boundaries for me. I also got a horchata. Cold and sweet and huge. Service was friendly and quick. Prices are good. I will definitely be back. Notes: oddly, even though it has Machete in the name, those are not on the menu. I didn't ask, but I'm sure they can make them. And the credit card machine and their social media point to a restaurant with a different name, Los Catrines Antojitos Mexicanos. So I don't know if this is connected to the Machete in Obetz, or is it its own thing and they've just changed the name of the restaurant, or what.

I walked up, got a warm welcome and ordered the 614 Arepa with fries. I have seen all the buzz and pictures about it so I had to try it. They gave me a buzzer to pick up my order. I waited about 10 mins and my food was hot and ready. I was washing clothes so I had to run back home to eat. When I took that first bite, so much flavor.
