The layout features a dedicated bar section and a separate dining area, plus they offer outdoor seating for warmer weather. Since it was quiet when we arrived, we were told we could sit anywhere. We chose a booth, though I did notice the seats were a little dirty and the side of the table was sticky. However, our server was very sweet and friendly. Our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering, and the portion sizes were very generous. We were a party of 3 and ended up ordering the Cheeseburger, which came with fries and coleslaw (I definitely recommend this), Cajun Melt, which comes with fries but I substituted it with sweet potato fries (note: there is an extra cost for substitutions). Also, we ordered the Cheese Steak, which also came with fries and coleslaw. Everything tasted great. I really can't complain about the food. If you are in the downtown Gahanna area and looking for a casual spot with good food, definitely check this place out.

I got the chicken Philly and would not get it again because it is grilled chicken slices on a sub. I felt like I was eating very dry sliced chicken for the most part. My husband got the bacon cheese burger and thought it was juicy and flavorful. My daughter got the Italian flatbread and it was a super thin piece of pita. She did not particularly enjoy it. My other daughter got the kids grilled cheese and gave 2 thumbs up! Ticket time is excellent as we were here for maybe 10 minutes and everyone had their food even with a super crowded restaurant! As for the drinks, the beer was cold and the mixed drinks were strong.

Wanting wings, I ordered the Garlic Parmesan and tots. They offer grilled or fried and I thought I ordered fried but these tasted more like grilled. I was wanting that fried crunch but got more of a well cooked bite with a creamy garlic white sauce, then sprinkled with Parmesan. It was still good but when you're expecting crunch, it's slightly disappointing. Still a good wing but I wouldn't put it in the top 5. The tots, now they made up for the crunch. The Blue Cheese was exactly what I like, sweeter with a little funk. Maybe I should've specified fried. Wings are an indulgence to me. I don't want the healthy version. I want that crunchy-Lipitor sponsored-defibrillator on stand by-I can see my blood flowing-We'll start the diet Monday goodness that only a perfectly fried wing can offer. Still good tho.

No exaggeration, this was one of the best chicken Parmesans I've ever had, and that includes versions from legit Italian restaurants. The chicken cutlet was super crispy and perfectly seasoned, with a coating that was flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy. The portion size was just right, not too big, not too small. I appreciated that the mozzarella on top was fresh and sliced, not the usual shredded kind. The sauces (yes, plural!) were rich and full of flavor, tying everything together beautifully. The only thing I think it was missing? Some garlic bread of some sort to go with it. That would've made it perfect. But honestly, it was still a fantastic dish on its own. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're anywhere near East Market. I'm already looking forward to going back and seeing what else is good on their menu.

Very little fat, which I really appreciate and the baked potato w/ sour cream, to my delight the sour cream had chives in it, nice surprise. * *Accompanied by a cold pint of Sam Adams. We had an excellent meal there. Atmosphere is really cute. What kind of cabinet like a lodge -exposed walls. It's very woodsy feeling. We came here as a party at five to send off our friend to Maryland We started with pretzel bites. The forst batch came out really brown. They looked over cooked. They didnt taste great. We had a new batch put in. That came out just as disappointed. Would not recommend these to anyone. Save your calories. We also learned we came on all you can eat rib night... Which we didn't know was a thing. I'm letting you all know it's a thing and it's a good thing!!! For $25 (which is less than the normal rib meal) You can eat all the ribs you want and get two sides! That's quite a bargain- come hungry. The ribs honestly fall off the bone they're so tender and they're not slathered and sauce. They do have some sauce on them, but the sauce is perfectly seasoned and it doesn't feel like you need any additional sauce also is an excessively sugary which I really like I was quite surprised as I'm not a big huge rib person. I would get the ribs again. Id pay full price for these ribs too. They were legit good. You get two sides with this meal. I chose a salad and a baked potato Well, I chose poorly- both the salad and the potato were actually good. However, the salad was huge and I was full after eating it. I shouldn't of ordered the potato. Its bery basic. I should've ordered the green beans. The green beans are crazy good!they give you a lot. they're also super fresh, delicious and seasoned... I know this because my husband got them and he focused on ribs -so he didn't eat his green beans, which meant I got to eat them later when we got home. Nom nom nom nom. They have a shrimp pasta carbonara which my friend ordered and holy smokes is that huge and delicious looking. She says that and the chicken parm are amazing and her go to when she doesnt get ribs. I will definitely be back Hickory House. Thanks for a great meal and a great evening.
