Apple told me my one year old macbook was dead, and that my computer needed upwards of $800 just to power on. So I took my computer to onPhiya to have my data recovered. What I did not expect, was for onPhiya to not only rescue my data, but to successfully power my macbook on, and bring the macbook to full functionality. I have never had this kind of caring and compassionate response with a tech company before. Looking through my yelp reviews, you will see that I have actually experienced an unqualified technician at a repair shop actually melting/completely destroying a macbook. This really deserved no rating. Went there two days in a row. The place was closed. The store hours showed it closed at 6p. It was only around the afternoon. The second day i went again. Same thing. As i went back in my car a man, the owner i guess, was at the door dressed in casual shorts and a Tshirt i think. He looked like he just woke up. I asked him if he was open. He said only "by appointment only." Now the "appointment" words were not on his Yelp page or front door. He told me his openings for Friday and Saturday. I was already annoyed about his unprofessionalism and poor credibility for someone having a business, i think the idea is to cater their business life around the customer and not the customer cater their problems around the business owner's convenience. If anything he seemed annoyed that i woke him up or so it seemed. He wasn't friendly, cordial, interested in having a potential customer back on the customer's time. Came in because my older MacBook and Toshiba were acting up and the lag was becoming unbearable. What's cool is he is honest and up front about what he will do, or what WE should do to provide him with so he can tackle the correct problem with the computer instead of just working and charging for things we would've never needed. He wasn't lying when he said with the Toshiba it would be night and day when he changed some internals. Super happy with the workmanship and price. I legit have an IT guy 10 minutes away now. My PC was having problems and I needed to have it reset quickly. I contacted CJ because my usual guy couldnt help me that day. CJ quoted and let me bring in my PC immediately. He had it done within 2 hours like he said he would. He explained what he did and even set up things that he didnt need to before I picked it up without me asking just to make it easier on me and get me using it like normal as fast as possible. This is an update of my previous 5 star review of Ophiya (On fire) Computer Solutions ... I loaned out a laptop to a friend last week and got it back this morning. When I tried to fire it up, it failed to boot. Not a light came on. It was dead as a rock or a paper weight which it would have become if it continued not to work. I removed the power supply from the laptop and it would not boot from the battery. It was (apparently) dead. My first thought was that the power supply had died and that the laptop used all the power from the battery. As it turned out, I was half right. I took the power supply to Onphiya to check to see if it were dead. Unfortunately, they could not test it, but they did have another that would work with the laptop, so I brought the laptop in. Onphiya checked it and it would not boot with their power supply, either. I had to leave to do another errand for my wife and was told that they would explore further. When I got home an hour later, i had a call that the computer was ready to take home. It turned out that a bent pin wasn't allowing the laptop to get power from the adapter and all that had to be done was to straighten the pin. The power supply was good and the dead battery was charging up, too. When I asked for a price to analyze the problem and to fix the machine, I was told with a smile "NO CHARGE" and come back again. Owner was able to fix our laptop when promised and at a very reasonable price. (It was an issue with getting Microsoft updates to process completely and an inability to open Microsoft Windows). We tried all of the easy fixes which did not solve the problems. He took over and diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed. Our laptop was returned all cleaned up and is now running great. read more

My computer froze up two days ago and I couldn't get it to turn back on, even though the power light was on. I didn't know where to bring it so I googled computer repair near me, and I'm so glad I found Onphiya less than a mile away. I ultimately decided to not repair and just extract my data since my laptop was so old but his pricing was very fair and he even took the time to explain a couple other things including recommendations for buying a new laptop. I took my ipad to CJ for diagnostics as it wouldn't charge or turn on. He responded quickly to my inquiry and diagnosed the issue within a day. He was honest in his assessment and presented me with several options, including just buying a new ipad. While I opted to buy another ipad, the price he quoted me was the lowest I'd seen for this repair. He definitely knows what he's doing and was honest in all aspects.
