UPDATE: Immediately after posting this review Brooke emailed and called me to explain that she had thought she had sent my contract to me. She did not see my emails and feels it likely got lost amongst the many emails that flood her inbox. She was apologetic and immediately sent me my updated contract after the call. My experience was similar to the 1 star reviews below. Short version: Took my deposit then stopped communicating altogether for the past 4 months. Details: Had to reschedule my wedding to a new date due to COVID-19. I had already paid the deposit. Brooke was initially responsive and understanding, our communication was smooth. She confirmed that my deposit was non-refundable but that she could re-book me with a new deposit for my future date which she confirmed they would be able to do. I agreed and she said she would send me a new contract. I never got a contract. She stopped responding thereafter. No response to my three follow up emails or my two phone calls to her business in the subsequent four months. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt -- busy with all the wedding date changes, , financially difficulties in light of COVID-19 -- maybe they had closed altogether! .... but then I saw that someone posted to their instagram account 5 days ago. Clearly she is not interested in working with me anymore. Would have been nice to get some communication back that they could not or would not be able to accommodate my wedding. read more

Brooke did an AMAZING job with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She brought two other artists with her that also did a great job with my bridesmaids, MOG, and MOB. I love how my whole look came together. I wanted to have my hair up and out of the way but still show off my curls. I also wanted to make my eyes look big. She knew exactly what I was going for and delivered. Like many brides, I was sweating every little detail and wanted all of it to be perfect. Brooke was patient and kind the whole way through. She happily redid my braid and tweaked my eye makeup whenever I asked and didn't show a single sign of going nuts over my micromanaging :) She is AWESOME. My mom was super nervous and Brooke arranged a trial for her the same day as me and made sure we both had the same makeup and hair artist for the big day. Having that support made the whole day a lot less stressful. The biggest reason why I chose Brooke is because she didn't give me that "conveyor belt bride" feeling I got with all the other large onsite hair and makeup companies I was considering. Onsite Beauty by Brooke did a great job with bridal hair, bridesmaid hair, and my mom's hair for my wedding. I booked the hair appt very last minute and Brooke accommodated timing ensuring that I get in for a trial. Brooke provided good details on timing which actually helped me to plan ahead of time for each girl. Katie was the one who actually worked on my hair. She was wonderful!!!! She took feedback well, asked details during the trial. On the actual day, I was very hung over and she was patient, yet she flex the time slots ensuring that we continuously worked through each girl to help us stay on track with time. I would advise those of you who might be considering to use this woman for your special day to NOT be foolish enough to hire her--that is unless you want to have undue stress to what is already a stressful day as is! SHE IS UNRELIABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Please don't let her intial friendliness and responsiveness fool you into booking her! Unfortunately I fell victim to this especially since all the supposed "great reviews" she had on Thumbtack, but now I even question the validity of these reviews. She was initially very responsive even through the weekends, but the as soon as she sent me a copy of the contract and collected my deposit, she immediately went "dark" and went from almost immediate response to 2-3 days to now 2 weeks! She didn't include in the contract all the things we agreed upon, so luckily I had read through the contract and proceeded to cross off and make changes to the elements that I needed her to correct. So the fact that she didn't honor in the contract what she said she would do, that was a bit fishy as is. Yet when I sent her the contract with the corrections and asked that she send me a copy back with her signature and initials once she reviewed the corrections, to confirm mutual acceptance of the terms, she told me she would get it to me right away, but that never happened. TWO weeks later and still nothing. When I finally got a response from her, it was her unapologetically telling me that she was really busy and that she'd get it back to me in a couple days---yet that did not happen. When I followed up again, she gave me sass and said that she wa a busy attending to her clients and that "I would want the same level of attention on my special day and not have her respond to emails and messages." This is not the way to handle your lack of follow through. Busy or not, she was the one that set the expectations of when she will provide the contract but needed up not following through what she said she would do--which is a very big indicator of how she is as a professional. When you hire a professional for your special day, you're not only hiring them for their service, but also the level of TRUST and peace of mind that they won't screw up your wedding--something that is a once in a lifetime event that can't be redone if the day is screwed. So if I can't rely on her to say what she will do and do what she say, then how do I trust that she won't do the same on my actual wedding day??? Needless to say, because of her unapologetic response that had a lot of sass and no accountability on her end, I requested my deposit back but she refused. She tried to claim that this was non-refundable per the contract, but what she failed to realize is that the contract is null and void if I had given her a counteroffer through my corrections on there and she not providing a reciprocal signed acknowledgement, then I can revoke my offer. I have a lot of lawyer friends and they have advised me as such, so I hope she would come her senses and refund me my deposit that she is now illegally withholding. Otherwise I will take her to court. Unfortunately it has come to this, but this is why I highly suggest you not hiring this woman unless you want to run into the risk of unnecessary stress and possibility of screwing up your wedding altogether. **UPDATE** This woman and her husband decided to seek out where I work to call to complain and attack my professional workplace in retaliation to my negative reviews. As a consumer I have the right to voice my opinion. If you provide services you are subject to reviews whether good or bad from the experience you, solely provide. You have no legal authority to keep a deposit without a binding contract. The contract provided had language we did not discuss. I countered the language and you did not respond. Being unresponsive for two weeks and lacking grace in how you handled me made your situation worse. If that wasn't enough as it was to add insult to injury you had your husband attack and harass me in my work place. I did not sign up to be a vendor. I am a consumer. If you did not like the way I responded to your service you shouldn't put your business in a situation where it is subject for reviews. Attacking a consumer shows a lack of professionalism. Withholding my deposit is illegal. Having you and your husband harass me at my workplace because you did not like the review I posted is unacceptable. You have to accept the good reviews with the bad and it is grounds for not just small claims but harassment. read more

1) Made false promises that doesn't reflect contract. 2) No response/lack of communication for 2 weeks. 3) Withhold deposit without revising contract to verbal agreement and refuse to refund the deposit. 4) Made excuses 2 weeks later that she's too busy with client to respond back. Onsite Beauty By Brooke did hair and make up for my wedding ceremony on August 9th If I could leave a 10 star review I would! They are simply amazing and went above and beyond on my wedding day. First off their team is so talented and every ones hair and make up looked stunning! There professionalism was outstanding and also made myself as well as my entire wedding party feel special, beautiful and ready for the day. Holding a ceremony during covid comes along with some additional stresses, I cannot express enough how they handled this as a team and seamlessly followed all guidelines so thoroughly! They were so clean and organized and made everyone feel at ease and so relaxed not to mention were so fun to work with and have there the morning of. I've had my make up and hair done many times before and I can tell you my hair and make up has never lasted THIS LONG! It was an outdoor ceremony in 80 Degree weather and by the end of the night my hair and make up still looked so flawless. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone! They were such a wonderful start to my day and made me feel so incredibly beautiful and confident. This business is everything BUT professional, ethical, and customer service oriented: 1. Lack of communication and prompt responses after deposit was received. 2. Lack of understanding and adherence to contracting practices. The bride resubmitted the contract with proposed language to adjust the terms and conditions of this agreement. The vendor went cold turkey. A contract is a mutual service agreed upon by both parties in order for services and payment to be rendered.
