My experience with OnTrac was both difficult, and redeeming! I purchased a product during the week of Black Friday- already not a great decision as far as shipment is concerned. When I received my confirmation receipt directly after purchase, I realized the delivery address was an old default address in NorCal. I called the retailer and pleaded to change the address, but they informed me that nothing could be done. They advised I contact OnTrac and inform them of the mistake, and request to update the address. After submitting a form on their "Contact Us" page I called OnTrac's Customer Service number 3 times; once on the same day I placed my order, and two other times over the next two weeks. Each time I spoke with a representative, explained how the address was incorrect and requested a change of address. The first two representatives confirmed my new delivery address, and assured me they would be able to make this change. The third representative informed me that they would only be able to change the address on this package once it reached the sorting facility in NorCal. Once it arrived at this facility, they would change the address and redirect it back to my new address is SoCal. This representative told me the package would arrive at the NorCal facility on the following day, and that if I wanted to (!) I could call again to confirm that the sorting facility was redirecting my package to the correct address. She mentioned the sorting facility opened at 6AM, and I agreed to call sometime in the morning to confirm. The following day, I called the same customer service number at 9:45 AM to confirm that my package was going to be rerouted. This representative said that my package was delivered already - to the wrong address - sometime between 7AM and 9AM. This representative informed me that there was nothing they could do to retrieve my package now that it's been delivered, AND that I was supposed to call the sorting facility at 6AM, speak to an on-site representative personally and inform them that I wanted my package rerouted back to SoCal. Apparently none of my attempts to request a change of address mattered. After pleading with this representative to help me retrieve my package, she escalated the call to their corporate office-- I finally spoke with Brittany and eventually Veronica, and this nightmare ended. Veronica validated my efforts, apologized profusely for the incorrect delivery and got a driver to pick up my package and reroute it to my home in SoCal. zero star !!! They claim they needed an access code to deliver my package except we don't live in a community that requires a code to enter the premise. We live in a house with easy access to the front door. The Chat was also useless because it takes them a couple of days to respond to my inquiry and they still say an access code is needed. I even called the company that I purchased the product from to make sure they provided the correct address and it was. The On Trac 800 number doesn't work (1-800-334-5000 is the number listed in the contact). They need to hire more competent drivers. read more

Customer service is a bot that keeps telling you to add comments, clarifications, that NO ONE reads, obviously. They do not deliver because they have no common sense. Buildings have main entrances and a list of all the people who live there. All they need to do is find the name, the package has it of course, push a button and the system will dial the number connected to it, so the owner can open the door automatically. Nothing difficult right? Oh no, they cannot figure it out and fail to deliver!!! I will never purchase anything from a company, in my case TJMaxx that uses them for deliveries. My order included two packages from the seller. One was a cover in a small box, the other was a stand for the grill. OnTrac delivered the small box which had the cover, but not the larger box with the stand. The delivery guy took a photo, which clearly shows one small box. So I did the AI chat, which is the only way to contact them. I explained the problem and told them to look at their photo as proof. The bot opens a ticket "to investigate". Next morning I get an email stating the "investigation" concluded the package was delivered. So I reply explaining that only one of the two packages was delivered, again telling them to please just look at the photo! The next email I received was to say "We're glad you received your package". Case closed!! This is the most incompetent company on the planet! I have had numerous -- too many to count in the decades I have lived here -- deliveries that were not delivered. Every time, they refuse to acknowledge any wrong doing. Sadly, I am told by the seller that they don't have any control over which carrier picks up the packages. I sure would love to see a class action suit brought against OnTrac. read more

Package show delivered but I was standing in yard when I received Ed the text and nothing was delivered. I immediately got on chat with OnTrac to ask for a picture and all they could say is, " the driver marked as delivered"! I asked for proof of delivery and was told there wasn't one. Just because the driver marked it as delivered doesn't make it so. It was an expensive item and the live chat person, Lyn, could only tell me was a case was opens and it would take 24 hrs for them to look into it. Thai is ridiculous in this day and age of instant information. What happened to reaching out to the driver and asking for the picture, or the color of the house, anything!!! This is the worst delivery service I have ever dealt with. They tried to deliver a package and said they couldn't because they needed an access code. We don't have access codes and I cannot speak to anyone to tell them that. They don't answer the phone, they don't respond on line. My package is from Old Navy, I was told by Old Navy not to worry they will re-deliver in 1-2 days, didn't happen called Old Navy again was told I had to give access code. No one seems to understand that we don't have access codes so I said use my phone number and Old Navy said I have to tell On Trac myself.....great, I can't get through to them! I had an item delivered several weeks ago and my front door camera recorded the delivery person tossing my package to the front door as if it were a Frisbee. Horrible service. Ordered something on 11/30 and the business created the label same day. Ontrac did not pick up until 12/03 with an estimated delivery date of 12/04. At 1:39PM on the day of 12/04, there was a shipment delayed and updated estimated delivery was 12/05. At 2:20am, package arrived at Los Angeles, CA facility, but was still not out for delivery. Tried contacting Ontrac to get more information and was not able to get ahold of anyone after an hour and a half of being on hold. Contacted Ontrac this morning as there has been no movement on my package except with the last known event for 12/05 at 1:33PM saying that the delivery date has been updated to today 12/07. Ontrac said they would get in touch with the facility to get an ETA and will give me a call back. Almost 4 hours since the phone call and no one has reached out. The tracking has not been updated. From my experience, if the package hasn't said out for delivery before 12PM, it is most likely going to be another shipment delayed. My package has been sitting in Los Angeles, CA which on the business website that I purchased from says is in Compton, CA (roughly only 6 miles away from me), but they can't seem to just deliver my package. Customer Service is useless. Tracking is useless. It's just one item and it can't even delivered when it says it would. If I had an option to change the courier, I would have already. read more

Ontrac Delivery experience I have 2 of the same orders and ordered the same day and time that were supposed to be delivered on the July 14th. So far, I have only one delivered package on the 17th, successfully. This tracking number C12185400662709 has not been updated with information relating to the actual delivery date and is still in delayed status to this date 7-24-23. Ontrac is the worse for ensuring that your purchases are delivered on the announced date for delivery. Also, if you input your cellphone number online via Ontrac to receive status updates, you never receive a text of the updates. At least, that has been my experience. OnTrac continues to accept orders to a military base which they do not have access to. When the drivers are refused access, they mark orders as customer refused delivery - which is not true. Expect them to place it in a very public spot - like right out on the front porch that is 10 feet from the sidewalk for all the world to see and steal. Terrible Service!!! I purchased three gifts from two merchants that, unfortunately, used this very bad delivery service. On December 5, at around 6:41 PM, I received word that all three packages were delivered. So I went out to our porch where all deliveries have been made because it is very long and cannot be seen from the street when deliveries are put at the door. There were no deliveries that my wife or I could see. So I reported the deliveries as not being done. The next morning, when I went out for the mail what did I see? The packages pushed up against our garage in few view of the street but behind a bush so they could not be seen from the front of our porch. Oh because you didn't use the navigation because you THINK you know the area. Clearly you don't. In this area alone there are 4 addresses that share my same number. The differences are north, south, etc. But they don't care because it's not their stuff they're delivering to the wrong house. I've had several experiences with OnTrac, but not by choice. Occasionally a vendor will want to save a few dollars and use this incredibly sorry excuse for a shipping company. According to their customer service, they have delivered the package. However if you will simply go out and look at the time of delivery, their delivery vehicle, nor the package is there. Our camera indicates that they've never been there. They don't provide any proof of delivery, such as a photograph and provide no real-time tracking information, as other delivery services do. All they do is tell you to contact the vendor. When you do, the vendor tries to tell you to contact OnTrac. So where do your packages go? Are they on someone else's doorstep? Are they at the driver's home? Are they in some random bushes somewhere? Who knows... All you do know is that you don't have an important item you need, which in our case is important and expensive medication for our dog. Why vendors continue doing business with this horrible company, I don't know. Please just use the postal service, or UPS, FedEx or anyone else. OnTrac needs to be investigated and shut down. I literally had to cancel my auto ship with a lovely company because they were using this company to deliver my orders and every single month like clockwork, the drivers would show up after 9 or later (sometimes close to 10 pm) while I was in bed and our home was dark setting of our doorbell cameras both on the chime and on my cell phone/alexa which is next to my bed on a work/school night for the kids. The first time, I gave them a pass & called OnTrac to express my displeasure and had to wait a ridiculous amount of time and was treated horribly by the staff. Which brings me to another incident several years ago during "prime days" and we ordered a large screen tv and didn't realize it was these buffoons doing the delivery...it showed up a day early in 105 degrees weather and they left it in the middle of my driveway leaning up against my vehicle vs putting under my covered porch. There was a piece of packaging tape that had been placed on the box and affixed to my car and when we got home from the water park because the box was hot we exchanged it I wouldn't ship with this company unless 1) I expected/wanted problems or 2) I just didn't care how much I was inconvenienced.
