We received a quote by the end of the day and waited a few weeks for actual measurements of our counter and backsplash space for replacement. Waited another few weeks to have them start demo on a Tuesday to disconnect stove, water, sink and dishwasher, and waited til Friday for installation of counters. Was originally planned for Thursday but due to miscommunication I wasted a full Thursday waiting to find out no one was coming. Came the following week to do backsplash and complete the job. For future reference, I would get an estimated timeframe from start to finish. Scheduling and communication seemed to lack and had difficulty trying to make my personal plans around them so I basically couldn't plan ahead for anything for 1 1/2 weeks. When I mentioned this to my sales associate he was very specific of a 3-4 day start/finish that was never mentioned to us, nor estimated in our contract. Well, we were way over their timeframe based on the wait time of scheduling. Since we had to go without sink water since Tuesday, a plumber came out Saturday to reconnect sink, stove and dishwasher for the weekend until completion the following week. I feel that the daily teams did a great job however I feel that my associate person could have given everything a thorough inspection, especially on completion day. Pictures and admiration does not pass as a full inspection. We ended up not having silicone caulk between the counters and backsplash therefore the grout was cracking, there were some quartz blemishes that needed touch up, electrical outlets were having problems, etc. and I had to make my own punch list for followup which again was not reinspected by my associate. So for over a two week period the job from start to finish was complete. I ended up caulking the counter to backsplash since nothing was scheduled, it was always next week.....not a scheduled day. I surrendered. Before this begun, full payment was done therefore I felt that they were done with us and left it at that. I still gave them 4 stars being that 90% of the job was done good by the assigned teams.

They really guided us through to the best flooring decision we could have ever made. Let me tell you, we had been shopping every where in town. We even went to the Home & Garden show here in Austin. The problem was either way too high of a price, or way to low of a quality product (meaning the reviews were bad on the product). Texbest Floors was right on in the middle. They beat the other guys quality who were charging the lowest per sqft (those floors won't last). They beat the other guys prices who were charging way too much for an average household's budget. We had also heard nightmares about projects starting and not getting completed on time or on budget. But not with these guys! They got our beautiful floors down just as we had arranged. Here's what happened: 1. They came to make measurements and talk to us. I can't thank them enough for this advice. For example, for our situation, we went with hard wood, glue down and I can honestly say I'll never consider floating laminate again! (but that's my opinion). They also added a little section of tile at the back door, since the previous flooring was showing warping because of the pool in our backyard. That was an awesome call, keeps that moisture off the floor. 2. The workers were very friendly and very professional. For the price I was impressed. These guys really worked hard to make sure the floor went down flush. They also took the time to make sure the subfloor was properly prepared as well. And game us tips along the way. 3. They delivered on time and on budget. The workers even came by to make sure everything was cleaned up off the floor. 4. It's been several months and are floors are still looking brand new. Glades is a whirlwind of activities, with the greatest decor sense for modern style remodeling. The project was completed on time, on budget. In a month's time, and with no fewer than 10 people working simultaneously throughout the project, Texbest utterly transformed a dated, almost-rundown home, into a spectacular modern showcase. As a distant landlord, the entire project was completed by Glades and crew with my presence needed once. They put grout at the part where the counter meets the tile instead of silicon. The Schluter trim is sharp and uneven and they did not use any end caps to finish off the sides of the tile. All I've gotten are excuses from the company, and the guy who's supposedly in charge - Ryan Parmelee takes no accountability for anything and tries to shame you for complaining about their shoddy work. Instead of trying to make things right, Ryan and the team at MC Surfaces sent me down a never-ending path to trying to get the job fixed with no real intention to ever remedy the situation and just hoped I would give up and they'd be done with it. They sent out two contractors who actually made things worse, and each time they went to the wrong address and made it like I wasn't home even though I confirmed with my Ring doorbell system and me sitting here waiting for them that they were no shows. So when trying to get them back out they made it like it's my problem and if I wanted it fixed I'd have to reschedule as if it was me who canceled even though they never showed. Their design showroom is really cool and Stephanie the person at the showroom is a nice lady, but that's about the only positive I can think of. As soon as I paid for the job in advance I was at a disadvantage as they seemingly had no motivation to do the job correctly. Since the poor job I've had 3 independent contractors come out to assess the work and all 3 echoed the same things I mentioned and said it was obviously done by an inexperienced tile layer and the job they provided should not be accepted and I should get my money back or have them redo it all. Unfortunately, Ryan became very combative on the phone with me and was impossible to deal with so I ended the call and decided I'll hire another contractor and eat this loss. But I wanted to make sure I let people know online about how they did not stand behind their work (which is all subcontracted out to shops who seemingly don't take pride in their job) with me. I'm very disgusted by my interactions with MC Surfaces, Inc., and was hoping for a more reliable experience from a local small business. However, they really duped me, and they were insincere about it all along. They're the type that would use that cop-out apology - 'I'm sorry you feel that way.' I got taken and it's a shame, but hopefully my review helps you learn from my misfortune at least.

If I had any regrets it's that I haven't used Danny and team in the past to do other projects at my house.
