Took my wife here for her birthday last week (7/23) for a manicure/pedicure. Nice location very close to beach. Clean salon very stylish. People who worked there were very friendly and courteous. Prices were a bit high ($66 for mani pedi classic). Got an appointment very fast. Overall a good experience. The bad? After a few days, the polish began to flake off. Fingers only which is odd. A week later it's almost all gone. My wife isn't an auto mechanic; she's careful with her hands. Maybe the product used was faulty, the actual work on her nails was great. This is my second visit to this establishment and I won't be returning unless it's with Julie. Let me start off by saying I have booked with the nail salon (2x) when I'm in a pinch or my original nail artist is fully booked. And my first experience here was amazing. I booked with Julie and she is extremely knowledgeable and meticulous about her craft. I have the utmost respect for her. But this visit was not with Julie and the way it was handled is the reason behind my one star review. I always book through their booking platform Vagaro because I like to view availability myself without having to call. It's easier. I had booked with Tin Tin (the owner) who I happen to know a client of his who gets her nails and lashes done. Her nails always look good and she never had any complaints. So I booked with him because Julie didn't have the availability I needed. Later that day I received a text asking if I wouldn't mind coming in two hours earlier, which was surprising because on the app they didn't have anything for that time slot. So I happily agreed. When I walked in I saw Tin Tin and let him know that I was there for my 5 o'clock with him. I was greeted by another woman (which I have seen working on pedicures my previous visit) and she sat me in the pedicure chair. I reminded her that I wasn't there for a pedicure but for a gel color change with Tin Tin. She nodded in agreement. Before I knew it she was drilling down my nails. At first I thought it was her getting a head start for Tin Tim since he was finishing up with another client when I arrived. But she kept going. I should've stopped her there but everything was happening so fast and by the time I looked up for Tin Tin, he was gone in the back with another client who just walked in. This woman who was working on my nails ruined my natural nails (which are the same length as my gel). She drilled down so much that my natural apex shape was gone and she globed on so much hard gel to fix the divots from the pressure of her drilling down my nails. I kept reminding her how much pain I was in and she continuously used the excuse that the UV light and gel always causes that. NEVER EVER do I feel heat from the UV light or gel with my original nail tech or Julie. She was using unsanitary tools and brushes to do my nails. I eventually told her to stop before it got too far. She went in the back and grabbed Tin Tin and they exchanged words and Tin Tin began reshaping my nails. I reminded him that my appointment was originally with him and I don't understand why I'm in this situation. He blamed his booking platform. To me, as a business owner, that is not a valuable excuse. Especially since he had text me to come in earlier. Once he was done fixing her problem, I had been left with the most narrowest nails that are not to my natural nail shape. He then had the woman finish my gel paint job. I'll let the picture do the talking for that. Upon leaving Tin Tin apologized again and said next time he would do my nails. The only time I would EVER come back is if Julie does my nails otherwise I won't be visiting the establishment. read more

My mom and I have been coming here for for seven years ( I'm only 15 years old ) and we LOVE BUI. I have recommended all my friends to even my family (little 5 year old cousin) teachers,facialist and therapists etc. I only like fancy things and THIS is the place in the South Bay to go to! TL spa or bliss nail spa is NOT it they ruin ur nails and are rude where here it is so relaxing and lush. I come here for everything nails,pedis, lash lifts and hair spa!! All the workers are like my second family and I love them so so much and they work so hard. I got a dip mani and a pedicure and it was one of my favorite nail experiences ever! The technicians were so sweet, accommodating and really took their time to make my nails look incredible. I've had my nails done there about 4-5 times now and I've had both Laney and Tin Tin work on them. When I say I've struggled to find a salon that does hard gel that lasts I'm not kidding. I went in today to get a hard gel fill after 4 weeks and they were all still solid, aside from some shameful outgrow. Lol the salon is beautiful, your greeted with wine and the service is beyond 5 star. I'm so thankful I found them as they also cater to my late hours. You won't regret going there. From what I've seen they specialize in custom nail art and again they last. They are completely responsible on price especially considering the high end products and service! I would also just like to add that I'm really shocked reading some of these reviews. I appreciate everyone has their own experiences but mine couldn't have been further than these bad reviews. In fact I have never seen 1 person leave less than 100% satisfied with their results. I'm constantly checking out the other clients nails for ideas and they all look amazing. My sister got me a gift certificate for my birthday. I made an appointment for a full set and pedicure. I showed them a design I wanted and it came out horrendous. After checking the quality of the nails I called and complained that my nails were uneven, were not filed correctly and overall, looked BAD. They allowed me to come back later that afternoon to redo it. This time I decided just color, no design. I have to tell you, this was the worse full set I ever got.
