Just got home from Opa Grill, VERY disappointed. Terrible service, incredibly slow, empty drink glasses, wrong order. I ordered Patitsio (greek lasagna), the noodles were so hard I could not stick a fork in them. The manager/owner would not take off my bill, only gave 50% off, after I could not eat my entrée! My husband ordered Gyro sandwich, got Gyro platter which comes with salad or soup, never received either. Everything was just wrong, wrong, wrong. Will not be back, ever! Ordered Sagnaki & Hummus as starters, both excellent, great flavor. Between all of us had Gyro, Chicken & Steak platters, all amazing flavors, incredibly tender & moist meats. Needless to say there were no leftovers!! Very impressed will be back for sure!! Lived here for 10 years, driven by many times & never stopped, needed a break from boring & predictable chain food. Our family loves everything on the menu. The Greek Salad may be the best salad anywhere, fresh ingredients. Main dishes are great. I would give Opa Grill five stars except for one thing: the drinking water they serve tastes like dish water! The food, on the other hand, is excellent. If you like beets (or even if you don't), start out with the panzaria. The avgolemono soup, another Greek staple, is very good, as are the tzatziki and hummus. For an entree, I usually order the Greek lunch or the Greek salad. I've never ordered the baklava because $5.99 seems a bit steep, but if I do try it I'll update this review. As other reviewers have noted, the service can be a bit spotty (I've even heard arguments emanating from the kitchen at times), but overall this is a friendly place with good food. If only they'd serve potable water I'd increase the review from four stars to five stars. read more

Everyone has asked me to stop and eat at Opa's Grill. For a few years I never did until this last week. I heard it was really good but I was surprised how great the food was!!! The owner came by and explained what Opa means and he was extremely nice and friendly. The service staff were quietly circling to make sure no one needed to ask for anything. OK...So this place is greek/american...thats what they advertise so it should not be a surprise you get fries with your sandwich, which were pretty good. I had the flaming cheese in brandy and it was amazing, and the gyro hit the spot. I would recommend this place. read more

I have been here several times. I always order the same thing...Greek salad with gyro meat. It is excellent! They put a ton of meat on the salad, which is great for most people. I prefer more lettuce and less meat, so I always order the salad with 1/2 the meat and twice the lettuce and they are very accommodating. They also have excellement hummus and the service it great. read more

My husband and I finally tried Opa Grill last Friday night (after moving here a year ago) and we very much enjoyed it. The place was busy and we had about a 10 minute wait for a table. We started with the skordalia, which was delicious, but even better were the pitas themselves. I'm pretty sure they were the best pitas I've EVER had! For dinner my husband ordered the "gyro platter" and I had the "gyro sandwich". We both thought our food tasted very good but I will say I was a bit surprised to have my gyro come assembled for me in a paper wrapper. Personally I would prefer to assemble it myself, so I guess the solution is to get the "platter" instead. A minor issue really. We got full and couldn't quite finish all of our food. My husband and I are so impressed! All the food is so fresh and delicious. We used to live in Tarpon Springs FL which is a large Greek community so we know Greek food. Opa Grill in Parker is wonderful! We found our new "home". The staff was very friendly. Everyone spoke with us. The owner called us friends when we walked in. Oh boy! SO GOOD! Love their Avgolemono Soup (chicken, rice, egg and lemon). It is delicious. Their Gyros are great. The pork loin sandwhich and their marinated top loin pork sandwhichs are awesome. The feta cheese is great, much better than anything you can get at the supermarket. The Opa Combo is delicious and so is their Spanakopita. Love their Retsina wine. And to end the meal with a bang the Bougatsa (Lemon custard funnel cake with powdered sugar!) is a crazy good dessert. Great service, great restaurant. Love it. Opa!!! read more

We wanted to give Opa Grill a 2nd chance after a first visit with GREAT food but a server who clearly didn't care/didn't want to be there. Last night we went back to find a GREAT server working ALONE trying to seat and serve. Kitchen staff (dishwasher I think) came out to set tables. Megan apologized profusely while people left because there was no one to serve them. Another couple was seated but left before anyone could bring them drinks, let alone take their order. I asked for the manager was told there was no manager on duty. Took a long time to get our food which was again great but seriously? Restaurant is not going to make it without staff and leadership. We have eaten here quite a few times, but we do tend to always order the same thing! We really love the gyros so we can't really say a whole lot about other items. The service has been fine, and the restaurant is clean. My only complaint would be that the water tastes terrible, but I'm there for the gyros! read more

Giving a two star just because the food is good but the service was horrible. From the manager level to the servers. We ordered food to go and arrived half hour after calling in the order. Also will note that the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived so they had plenty of time to make our order in a timely manner. Food was not ready so they rung up the order while they finished. Which took them another five minutes. Then we stood around awkwardly for a while before finally asking what the eta was, which they never actually answered. After we asked and it was clear that the order was taking way too long the server asked if we'd like a drink. After accepting a drink while we waited our food finally came out. At that point the server went to ring up the drink that they had offered up earlier. Upon questioning this because of the olive branch of a gesture they made the drink seem, we received a rude response from the employee which signaled that she knows nothing about customer service or handling situations where a restaurant screws up an order. Watching the dynamics of the staff and management in this whole thing it's clear that this place doesn't know how to treat customers and make up for their mistakes. Sorry guys, you've lost customers and earned a poor online review. Very disappointing! read more

Tried out the 3-weeks open "Opa Grill" near "Jersey Mike's Sub". My Wife and I were not disappointed. The Spanokopita Appy was delicious, My Combo with salad was also delicious having good portions of Mousaka, Pastisio and a gyro fixings. Dessert was excellent, Bogotsa, (forgive my spelling) was awesome. Wife had chicken gyro w/french fries. She raved about. Service was excellent along with the Owner checking on us. Check it out. I have been to Opa Grill twice, and like Alice A ,feel bad giving it such a mediocre rating. ...So why did i return a second time you might ask? My first visit was MUCH better in comparison to my second. My first experience was pleasant. My server are well informed and friendly. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken and i was pleased. Portion size was more then enough and the ingredients were fresh and appetizing. My friend ordered a Gyro with fries, she too said it was good. All in all, a pleasant LUNCH experience. The second time i returned with my husband for dinner. I had high expectations because i was happy with the food and service on my first visit. We ordered a Dolmades appetizer, and like one of the comments before me it was way over priced for what you get. The Dolmades were oily, and few. They actually had a rectangular shape from sitting compacted into a tin can. My husband and i both ordered kebobs for entrees, I chicken and he beef. The proteins were good, but the rice and vegetables left something to be desired. Canned pees if what we got. Yes. ...Not fresh peas, but canned peas. They were cooked until the were shriveled and shrunken. We ordered a baklava for desert. The baklava was almost completely nuts and filling. The only pastry was the top and bottom layers. Our server asked us how the desert was, and when i commented she said that the 'real' chef was in Grease and that it is usually a lot better. Over all the atmosphere was disappointing. The decore was good, but the resturant had a steril feel to it. Its a large space with vaulted ceilings. I agree that it felt disjointed. The servers wore bow-ties yet there were TVs mounted to the walls and undressed tables. There wasn't much business, and although nice, i almost felt smoothered by the staff. Particularly the owner. Both visits also had a pungent odor coming from the bathrooms. Smelled like sewer. Opa Grill is a good place for a casual lunch, a gyro with fries, but unfortunately i would not recommend it for a more then that. read more
