Very disappointed. Those are the only words that come to mind. My sister and niece had told me about this place after a trip to Denver. They had told me that this place was delicious, fresh and that I needed to try it. We had drove from Colorado Springs to Castle rock Friday evening for dinner. When I first walked in, there was trash on the ground, and the garbage was overflowing. When we got up to the serving counter, there was food spilled on the counters and there was more food mixed together than expected. The man that helped with my meal together, rushed me through even though it was my very first time and I was trying to read what everything was before I picked it out. I had got a kids meal with saffron rice, which was dry, honey harissa chicken, which was dry as well, three pita chips, which were really oily, and some sauces, that were actually pretty good. During my meal, I thought that since it had slowed down, someone would clean the floors and take out the trash, but that did not happen. Before we left, I went to wash my hands and in the unisex bathroom, the floor was sticky and the trash was overflowing. Overall, I will not be returning. I think it's really unfortunate because I really wanted to like this place. First impressions are very important and I just was not impressed. read more

Stopped here for Sunday lunch with my sister before doing some shopping at the Castle Rock Outlets. It was fairly busy on a Sunday afternoon but the line moved quickly. I had the Chicken & Rice bowl which was delicious. The portion was a great size and all of the ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. I opted to try the side of Crazy Feta Dip with a pita and it was so yummy but had a surprising kick of heat at the end. The Cucumber Limeade drink was amazing! I do not think this location can be saved... third time giving this location a try. On the way home from a road trip and stopped by 45 minutes before closing. Staff was all cleaning and talking. My partner went in first since we had our dog in the car and it took awhile to even get the order started..... ordered half salad and half brown rice (arrived home and found that it was dried and hard....), crazy feta scoop, lamb was over cooked to mush and dry, quite a few of the toppings were out, skug, and garlic sauce. They REALLY skimp out on the rice and lettuce. I ordered half salad and half saffron rice (VERY small portion as well), tzatziki scoop, 1 scoop each or chicken and steak, again quite a few of the toppings were not available, no garlic sauce available and opted for yogurt dill and skhug. I was genuinely excited to finally try this place, especially after seeing several locations pop up around Colorado. I ordered the lamb meatball rice bowl with power greens from the Castle Rock location. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Most of the rice in the bowl was undercooked and crunchy, making it unpleasant to eat. The avocado had a strange texture -- overly soft and almost smooth -- and the flavor was off. After digging through the bowl, I found the rest of the avocado buried beneath the onions, and it was clear that it was past its prime and starting to rot. I ended up throwing the rest of the bowl away, as I didn't feel comfortable continuing to eat it. I tried calling the Castle Rock store immediately to let them know about the quality of the ingredients -- especially the avocado -- but no one answered the phone. Later that evening, I began experiencing significant stomach pain, which continued into the night and the following morning. I've spent most of the time since in the bathroom, which raises serious concerns about the freshness and safety of the food I was served. What's been even more frustrating is the lack of response. I've attempted to reach out multiple times and still haven't heard back from anyone at the store. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. I wanted to give this place a fair shot, but based on this experience, I'm not sure I can recommend it to others until the quality and communication improve. read more

Good place for a quick meal. Learn from my mistake and tell them to put the dressing on the side so you can add it to your bowl on your own. My grilled chicken bowl was good but would have been great if she had not dumped soooo much dressing on it. I like how you can make modifications to the dish as they make it. This cava located across from the outlet mall in castle rock was a nice place to grab a healthy bite to eat. I ordered the steak bowl and it was quite massive since I decided to add lots of toppings and extras to the bowl. No complaints on the taste, but comparing the price to chipotle or other competitors, I think I'd rather spend $10 for a chipotle bowl than $18 for a cava bowl which are both pretty good. read more

As someone who lived in Rockville MD where Cava originated from, I am probably one of their biggest fans living in CO and have been to a lot of locations. This is one of my favorite fast food places! This specific location is convenient to go to if you are out stopping in Castle Rock. Their service was pretty fast. They had all their usual items in stock. I did notice that the lettuce could have been fresher. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They even have a drive thru! Highly recommend getting their fountain drinks the teas and lemonades that they have are amazing. Also upgrade for the lamb as your protein! Definitely check them out if you have not been before. It's like chipotle, but middle eastern. Tons of flavor and a healthy quick option! read more

The manager here has to do better. Pulled up at 9p, noticed employees cleaning so we weren't sure if they were opened because it looked dark. As we walked in the employees in the back yelled "noooooooo" cause we came in. Wasn't what hungry customers want to hear when entering an establishment and spending our money there. Then we get to the counter, we were offered 3 falafels , some dried up chicken or steak. Not much of anything left. The employee told us they will not cook anymore food because it is close to closing, again a whole hour til closing. All the toppings were limited. All the specialty teas and lemonade were no longer available. We opted for a fountain drink, which was straight soda water. Some not so clean looking employee was emptying the garbage. The chicken looked... interesting. Food was overall fine. All the tables were dirty. All of the employees seemed annoyed to be there and had an overall lack of customer service. The cashier was a younger girl and had a horrible attitude, my family and I were really surprised by her behavior. We aren't asking for outstanding service, but atleast average. Chef Ken & Mykah were amazing! The food was delicious and affordable for the amount you get. You can choose from steak, lamb, and chicken. You can choose between a wrap or a bowl. I got the build your own bowl I added greens, rice, and lentils. My protein choices included half lamb and half spicy chicken. You also get to choose other toppings including corn, feta, cucumbers, and so much more. They also have a vegan option which would be falafel. This is a convenient option if you're at the nearby outlet malls doing some shopping and need a lunch break. We've been here a few times and it's consistently good, and the line moves quickly. They have changed the menu a little over the past few years but kept most of the old standbys as well as adding some interesting new dishes. This time it was right after the introduction of the chicken shawarma, which I tried and enjoyed. They keep it quick, efficient and tasty here, so I'm a fan and I make this one of the preferred stops when in the area. read more

I met my family here for dinner, walked in, trash all over the floor, food flung all over the place while ordering, ate, food wasn't tasty at all, before leaving I used the bathroom and this bathroom was nasty. Unisex bathroom, floors were sticky, urine all over the toilet seat so I had to wait in line for the other bathroom, trash over filling. I won't be returning to this location. read more

Cava is always so yummy food wise but the service feels worse and worse each time. Employees seem to have bad attitudes and every time we place an online order something is wrong/missing/etc. Portions get smaller online and just seem to have an issue most times, especially over the online ordering. Also just about every time we go they are out of multiple core ingredients. Unfortunately all I ever hear about the castle rock cava from peers is also the bad service. read more

I'm writing because I had a very disturbing experience at the CAVA restaurant in Castle Rock on Saturday, January 10th, and I feel it's important someone is aware of what happened. We were simply there for lunch, and what should have been an easy, casual meal turned into an uncomfortable and honestly shocking situation. The manager on duty, Brandi, became visibly angry and aggressive--throwing spoons and bowls, slamming kitchen doors, and appearing completely unhinged by having to get us fresh batch of lentils. It was intimidating, and extremely unsettling to be the target of this behavior. She was also openly rude and hostile towards my daughter and her friend, which was especially upsetting given we were just trying to enjoy lunch. In addition, what stood out was how uncomfortable the employees seemed several appeared intimidated and even fearful, which made the entire restaurant feel toxic. This all happened while many other customers were present. As we were leaving, a couple other women came up to us and acknowledged how badly we were treated and to share that they had a similar experience with the same manager Brandi, It was clear this wasn't an isolated incident. I'm not someone who often complains, but this situation felt bigger than poor service. I left genuinely concerned for the staff, customers, and for the overall environment in that restaurant. Rated a 3 not because of the food - it was delicious, fresh, and flavorful. The rating is because of wait time and lack of information. At 11:45 am in a Tuesday there were already 14 people in line and an additional 7 waiting for pick up orders. Clearly they needed more staff they had 3 people working the counter area. Like a Chipotle where you order and they build your meal in front of you. They clearly needed at least another person taking orders and two cashiers. Additionally, this was my first time at a CAVA. I didn't know what to expect. When I walked in and looked up at the menu the build your own bowl gave vague instructions (pick 2 proteins,etc). There should be menus of even signage on the walls/windows that display the list of ingredients to select from. This would also speed up the process when ordering. read more

I think I've found my new favorite go-to when I'm seeking a low-carb meal option. I've had the Greek salad twice now, going with steak the first time and half chicken, half spicy lamb meatballs as my protein choice my 2nd order. The tzatziki sauce and hummus were both delicious and I loved that I could choose my veggies (cucumber and tomatoes are my jam). The crazy feta is also a great spicy option. To me, Cava is the Mediterranean version of Chipotle - only so much better! The grain bowls look interesting to me, but I generally look for low carb options (although I read they have something called RightRice, that is made from lentil, pea, and chickpea flours that I may have to try out). In the land of many fast/casual food options in Castle Rock - Cava is a welcome addition for me! read more

I've never gone and have been dissatisfied with my meal. It can get pretty packed but the service is fast and the staff are friendly. Every time I come here they are out of something. Tonight I ordered on DoorDash and my order was wrong. My name was on the receipt so it was definitely my order they just threw what ever they had left in a bowl and sent it to me. I called the store and the "manager" said he doesn't know what he expects him to do. Blamed the dasher and said there was no way to contact me which was false. He offered no solution and got unprofessional with me. This is the last time I'll be eating here for sure. Over priced for the value and customer service. I have been craving for CAVA ever since I had them in Southern California. While visiting Colorado Springs, I noticed the closest CAVA to me was this location right across from the outlets. We ordered the harissa avocado, steak mezze and the spicy lamb meatball wraps. For the bowls, we were able to add on up to 3 scoops of sauces and unlimited toppings. The only reason why I knocked off 1 star was because all the tables seemed to be sticky like it was not cleaned properly. While we were seated, Chef Ken walked over to us to let us know that there would be some new menu items being introduced next week and while talking to him, he asked if we would like to try their ranch pita chips. We gladly accepted and let me tell you, the ranch pita chips were really good! Thank you, Chef Ken for the kind gesture. The food here is fresh and delicious!
