The sweetest assistant, Emily, kept reassuring me that everything was okay. She was such a doll. She was also training another young lady. Emily was very professional with her training. Dr. Shah was so lovely and calm and kept telling me they'd "seen worse". I honestly hope to calm my fears and become a regular patient here. Even the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Maybe not charge the patient 104 dollars for nothing but pain. I visited Dr. Jon D. Libbesmier for endodontic therapy, asking beforehand if he believed the procedure was likely to be successful. He assured me it would be, so I went ahead with it. However, after enduring an hour and a half of intense pressure and discomfort--my jaw was sore from being open too long, and I could barely move my mouth--he informed me that the procedure had failed. This was after his initial confidence that it would work. Despite this failure, he said he would only charge me for the consultation, which my insurance covers at 80%. I thought, "At least it's not costing me too much financially, maybe just $16," and went to the front desk, still in significant pain and unable to speak or think clearly due to the numbing shots. The bill was $58, which confused me, but I was too weak and in too much pain to argue, so I paid it, planning to review the charges later. After a challenging recovery that involved significant pain, medication, and sick days, I discovered that an additional charge for a pulp test was added to my bill. This extra test made the entire consultation not covered by my insurance. As a result, I ended up paying $104 out of pocket, with no treatment done and my tooth in worse condition than before. I consider myself reasonable and am willing to pay for services I receive. All I ask is that the extra charge for the pulp test be removed, and that I only be billed for the consultation fee. However, when I tried to discuss this with the front desk, I was threatened with being sent to collections if I didn't pay. Avoid this dentist's office at all costs. They lack the necessary skills and professionalism, and their services are a complete waste of time and money. The total cost of the endodontic therapy was supposed to be $459 with my insurance, but because they failed the procedure and charged for something I didn't agree, I'm left paying $104 for nothing. You can tell that he prides himself in the work he does and that goes a long way with me. I'm on Medicaid and drive 25 miles to see him and can say without a doubt that l'll be happy to drive 25 miles every time I need to come back for an appointment. She said that my insurance didn't pay enough,...... I said my insurance hasn't changed, you quoted me the wrong amount and I shouldn't be liable for your mistake. She said that they can always give an estimate because they are too incompetent to quote the correct amount. I said that I can't rip the tooth out of my head and give it back. Lara said that this issue isn't important enough to let the dentist know. So I'm writing every place I can to get the word out. I asked if I was going to get my teeth cleaned today and the root canal that they recommended and they said that I had to schedule an appointment with both the hygienist and the endodontist. Ok.... Then they told me the endodontist is only there twice a month. So I had to wait another week or more to get anything done for the pain I'm in. When they did the temperature check on my teeth they held the cold on there way to long and it was SOOO painful. Then they left it on my lip and burned my lip. So now I have a big lump on my lip. I will not be going back. Horrible experience. Learned my lesson going somewhere with only a few reviews.
