    BBQ Brisket with beets salad
    Anatoli L.

The restaurant is located on the first floor at Sheraton Dallas hotel where I was staying, so I visited the restaurant twice for lunch. First time I had buffet lunch which was okay. The second time I ordered chicken tortilla soup and bbq brisket. Chicken tortilla soup was not bad, elegantly poured into a nice soup bowl from a teakettle. Presentation was excellent, and the soup was tasty, it was just lukewarm for my taste, but still not bad. Brisket portion was small, but the taste was excellent, and the side dishes of beet salad and baked beans were very good. Very good service, friendly and prompt. Recommended.

I liked the big windows giving this indoor dining space an open airy feel. Service was honestly not the fastest. We were forgotten twice, which we let slide since we weren't in a rush. At least they let us split an order and the chicken sandwich and fries turned out pretty good. Conveniently located inside the Sheraton for hotel and conference guests

Today we tried the buffet part of the restaurant, my husband loves options like this.... The sweet waitress who was attending to us so so very nice and gave top notch service. The tortilla soup was so good. The veggies for the salad bar were crisp and fresh.

No complaints here. I popped in the bar for a late night snack and decided to get the tortilla soup. It was surprisingly good. I also added chicken. The bar tender actually gave some good feedback on the options I was deciding between. The bar was pretty empty when I went, but the restaurant itself is cute.

This was a surpriser for meals. It was in our hotel and we likely expected it to be just some plain mediocre place for food. However it was a shocker for each of us to take our first bites. Each and every different thing that was ordered was surprisingly tasty for everyone. Our server was very nice too and even had us smiling too. Very great hotel restaurant.

Happy hour drink menu, they also have some food on the happy hour menu

I tried this place for dinner during my stay and also went to the bar side for the tail end of happy hour. They have bbq by the 1/4 or 1/2 pound, and I got 1/2 pound of brisket and 1/4 pound of jalapeno sausage with the cornbread skillet. I didn't take a pic of the cornbread skillet, but it was a lot smaller than expected. It was tasty, but nothing great. Overall, I just felt like the price to value/taste ratio wasn't quite there for the dinner. I'd recommend popping in for happy hour and grabbing a class of wine or a cocktail from the bar side. However, I'd probably stay away from the old fashioned if you are expecting a traditional drink. I felt like it was a little off, and someone described it as having a maple syrup flavor. However, the brisket slide during happy hour was even better than the brisket we ordered for dinner the day before. The seating options on the bar side were varied, and you could find a comfortable place to hang out for a while. Try grabbing a custom drink from Parlor after happy hour ends here!

    Sangria
    Janine H.

Quite possibly the best sangria I've had in a long time! I wanted to try other drinks in happy hour but the sangria was just so yummy I kept ordering it. The tortilla soup with chicken added was hearty and very flavorful. The burger and fries came out hot and fresh. So much flavor. Every server was super friendly and attentive even with a full house. It can get pretty loud in the bar area but it just adds to the vibe.

Everything we ordered was beyond exceptional in our server Kia was out of this world. We were genuinely surprised by the quality of food, portion sizes, and delicious flavors. All of us have stated this Hotel many times but this was one of the best meals we've had and we're very happy for this experience because it'll save us time next time we're visiting and will stay in instead of looking for restaurants outside of the hotel. Thank you Kia & chefs. Superb meal.

I went to Open Palette a few times while I was staying at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. It is Sheraton Dallas Hotel's dine in restaurant. It is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. It also has a bar area, which has live music at night. It can also be booked for events. I had breakfast here one morning, was at one event there one night, and drank at the bar area on two different nights. I thus, cannot comment on their lunch/dinner. The restaurant is near the lobby, and is easy to find. I love the decor both in and out of the restaurant. The restaurant is comfortable. The service is excellent. The breakfast is buffet style and has a wide selection of items to choose from. You still have waiters personally attending you, if you need assistance. At night, the bar area is packed, yet you still get great service from the staff as you will not wait long for a drink. The same great service and food, you will find if you attend an event there. I attended a corporate event, and the food was delicious and the wine perfection. I wish I would have eaten here for dinner, the first night I was here instead of the restaurant I had picked. The restaurant's food was lackluster and considering how much I later enjoyed Open Pallete's offering for breakfast and that corporate event, I am sure I would have throughly enjoyed my dinner too! If you're staying in the Dallas Sheraton Hotel, I would recommend eating/drinking here!

Freddy - the best bartender in the Open Pallet Bar!

We stopped in each night of our stay at the Sheraton and would highly recommend as a place for a wonderful night cap. Freddy was the best bartender in the Open Pallet Bar and was taking care of every group, and there were many!!! Thanks again!

Tried something new on a whelm . The food was good not great. The menu was very limited but the food did come out fast and well prepared. My burger wasn't the best burger I have ever had and wasn't the worst. The best part was hearing about the toxic work environment from our waiter. lol Palette is a casual and comfortable restaurant located conveniently located next to the lobby' entrance of the Sheraton Hotel. The food is overpriced for the quality. It's worth a try if you're stay in the hotel.

Kia was VERY attentive and patient! Explained my meal to me (I had many questions). She made sure everything was packed up because I wanted to take it back to my room. She was friendly. I got the seared salmon and broccolini with the Violet cocktail. I did not like the salad and cherry sides that came with the salmon BUT the salmon itself and the mashed potatoes were delicious. The broccolini was good too. The Violet cocktail was not tasty (to me) I like me drinks sweet and this tasted like a whiskey or a rubber boot. But after consuming it all I did get a nice buzz. The place is very convenient if you're staying at the Sheraton because it's literally in the lobby.

    Bar area

Didn't like that I added myself on the waitlist online and once we got to the restaurant they proceeded to sit others in line. It defeated the purpose of being added on the waitlist. Think that system could improve even if they were busy. Had to go sit in the bar area instead.

So…read moreapart from this hiccup we looked over the rest of the menu and selected an appetizer and entree. Did you see the onion cup craze with the soup dumplings? If not, let me fill you in. Silly ole me asked if onion cups could be provided and the resturant obliged, thank-you! Now for the taste test. The shrimp and pork dumplings were well packed with the protein. They dressed it well in sauces too! As I placed my dumpling in the onion cup i can say the sharpness of the onion meshed well. The crunch also brought another level texture to a soft dumpling. Now this is usually done with soup dumplings but when I say its a trend it ended diverting from the original post. Regardless, the restaurantet let me be silly and I appreciated it! As for our pizza, not to sound like im a pizza critic but this was a good one. The slice held well the toppings were fresh, especially the basil! It was thin and airy. They do not have a brick oven in case you were wondering. It didn't matter to me. I enjoyed my pizza! The cocktails were spot on in liquor and flavor balance. Thank you once again for being a great start to my vacation!

The manager came out (because it was taking a little bit) and said a croquette broke when they were making one of our meals and had to remake it. We did not think the wait was long by any means, but it goes to show they take pride in getting their meals out to tables quickly. I got the Korean bbq bowl and my husband got the seared chicken, both were soooo good!

We did show up maybe 1.5ish hours before the game and the whole place was packed, but I didn't mind sticking around even in the heat because they have a very nicely shaded outdoor patio area. This is a great spot to watch any of the FIFA games-- also came back here for the Norway game yesterday and had just as good of a time like the last. They have TVs everywhere inside (both floors) and a huge TV outside as well. The restrooms are clean. They have a lot so that helps especially when it's there's a lot of people-- hate going to places with ONE bathroom. A bunch of seating too- lots of high tops upstairs/downstairs, bunch of tables outside & they have a lot of extra chairs. Service is great. Everyone always checks in to ask how everything's going and drinks/ food don't take too long to come out. I do LOVE their flatbreads. I've tried several flatbreads and they are all super tasty and not too expensive. I did appreciate that when Mexico scored during that first game, the servers brought out a bunch of shots free for everyone to celebrate! I thought that was a nice touch since other bars I have been to in the area are not as thoughtful or organized enough to host a lot of people during the World Cup! Sweet touch. Will obviously be back!

Visited Hendys on Henderson with some friends for happy hour recently and we had a great time with delicious food, good drinks, and great atmosphere. Firstly for appetizers/small plates, we ordered the burrata (this dish seems to be seasonal with the menu alternating between different fruit accompanying the burrata every few months or so; during our visit, it was paired with apple). We also tried the pretzel calamari (I was very curious what about this made it pretzel inspired as I've never seen this combo before but we discovered it was cooked in a pretzel coating, and it was definitely worth trying) and the Hendys Tendys (served with Texas toast and fries). For drinks if you like spicy and savory, you can't beat the spicy pickle margarita which has tequila, orange liqueur, muddled jalapeño, pickle juice, lime, agave syrup and garnished with gherkins (small pickled cucumbers similar to cornichons) and a Thai chili. Don't worry about it being too spicy as it's a perfect blend of tangy with a slight kick. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other drinks and main menu items.
