This was at the place in Westin hotel and had tons of seating and a great view of downtown. I had come right before they closed, service was great and was still able to sit there after they closed. I got calamari and a burger.

Went with my wife here for a date night dinner and really loved the place. Food was amazing, cocktails were good. There was even live music (it was Friday or Saturday night). Service was ok but not impressive at all. 5 starts are for the quality of the food - it was simply delicious. And that's not the first time we experience great food in Westin hotels. So I assume you can't go wrong with the food in Westin.

Nice option for breakfast when staying in Westin downtown - the food is good but to be frank, nothing to write home about. The reason I am giving this place 5 stars is because of the amazing service we received from the waitress Nulu (I hope I got her name right) - she made us feel like family catering to our every need. I hope this review reaches the management and Nulu's wonderful work is recognized.

So went here for lunch with a friend of mine today on her birthday; Called ahead and was told restaurant was open and no reservation required .. My friend arrived first and called me saying that the restaurant was Closed....So she was redirected to the bar on the second floor & we were literally the only 2 people there.. The layout and views are very nice, Food was okay, kind of difficult to locate too ( Escalators are behind a bar/ restaurant in the lobby....)

Never stepping foot in here again I almost got salmonella. What chef can't cook chicken properly so disgusting.

    Tomato soup, wasn't bad

I booked this reservation for Valentine's Day with my wife. $85 per person is reasonable so I booked it. We were greeted promptly and politely by the hostess. The restaurant was basically empty, which made me wonder why the booking time was so limited. It took a few minutes to be greeted and offered drinks, but the bar was busy so we understood. When we placed our order, we watched our drinks sit on the bar for 8 minutes before my wife got up and got them for us. When it came time to order from the fixed menu, I was concerned when they didn't ask what temperature I wanted my filet. Come to find out, it's only well done. They brought out my plate with mushrooms, some sort of potato, and a thin filet cooked WELL DONE. It was painfully obvious the steak was premade and microwaved to order. My wife got scallops and risotto, the scallops had a strong fishy smell to them, which is NOT in the norm. I sent my steak back to be prepared medium rare as a filet should be. The product they returned to me was BLUE RARE at best. At this point, I was annoyed. So I asked them to return the food and bring us our check. I gladly paid for my wife's meal since she tolerated the scallops. The oxtail pie appetizer was bland, and the cappuccino tomato soup starter was good, but was maybe an ounce. To top it off, they brought h wife her dessert and sent back mine since I returned my meal, and requested it to be removed (I took one bite of my well done steak). While I understand they shouldn't just hand stuff out, they should have at least made an effort to remedy the poor food quality. I don't blame the server at all. Either way, I paid $113 for my wife's meal that was mediocre at best. The risotto was bland and overcooked along with the overly fishy scallops. I hope management fixes this for future diners. Luckily, we found an Italian place down the street to eat.

We dined there Saturday, February 11 and had an amazing time. We dined near closing time so we had this beautiful restaurant to ourselves. My honey and I both decided on the Cowboy Ribeyes and they were so DELICIOUS! Our waiter Michael was so nice and very accommodating. We even received a dessert on the house courtesy of Michael. I will definitely return.

Really good omelette and decent Buffett. 2 stars because I had to get my own coffee from the lobby even though I asked for coffee multiple times.

We were able to enjoy G&V for bar drinks one night then breakfast the next morning and loved both visits. The bar is open and inviting and wraps around from the hotel lobby into the restaurant area and has service on both sides. We sat in the lobby area so we could watch the Stars game. The server was amazing, very informative and talked to us like he had known us forever. My husband tried the Deep Ellum Blonde draft while I had a signature cocktail the server whipped up - I cannot remember what all was in it but it was delicious! They paired our drinks with a little thing of snack mix that had just the right kick to match the flavors of the alcohol. The next morning for breakfast, we were seated immediately. It took some time for our servers this AM to come to the table to tell us what was going on but we opted for the buffet instead of ordering off the menu. The buffet had bacon, sausages, eggs in several different ways, a wide variety of fruit, muffins, cereals, etc. It was presented well and attracted many guests to the flavors it was offering. What a great experience!

I was served raw chicken and am really disappointed in my offering. This was after sending the order back for being burnt. Then got served up raw chicken this was the worst!

The service felt distant and rushed. Our server seemed unfamiliar with the menu, gave us conflicting information about drink availability, and rarely checked on us. We specifically asked not to be rushed, yet our entrées arrived while we were only a quarter of the way through our appetizer. At one point, our food was delivered while we were outside getting fresh air. The food was also disappointing. The scallops and chicken were extremely salty and lacked flavor, and the chicken was overcooked. When we brought it up, the server did little to address it. To top it off, we saw two large cockroaches around our table, which was especially noticeable in the dark dining room. The cocktails were the highlight, but overall, the service, food, pacing, and cleanliness did not meet expectations. One star. Very disappointing, and I'm not sure I'll be back.

The staff was very welcoming, and the other guests I encountered were friendly and sociable. The drinks were excellent. On my first visit, I had the Hugo Spritz, which was mixed to perfection. During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. I actually enjoyed The Bowen House so much that I went twice during my weekend trip to Dallas. It has an almost speakeasy-like atmosphere, with low lighting and a cozy, historic feel. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. I also appreciated that you can order a drink while waiting for a table or bar seating, which made the wait feel much more enjoyable. Overall, The Bowen House was one of my favorite places I visited while in Dallas. Between the atmosphere, welcoming service, and well-crafted drinks, it's definitely a place I would return to the next time I'm in town.

Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10.
