    Cocktails and Soccer!

We came here for the France vs England 2nd place match for the FIFA World Cup. The atmosphere was top notch for watching sports: plenty of indoor seating and TVs and an outdoor patio for a less boisterous experience, though still very lively! I had the Maui Spritz and Mule while my husband had an IPA. We ordered Hendy's Tendies to split. Food was excellent: definitely a cut above bar food, even for chicken tenders. They're brined in pickle juice and you can definitely tell. The fry was crisp and chicken was juicy. Both my cocktails were delicious, though I probably preferred the mule more. The outdoor seating was perfect. It's shaded, so you definitely don't feel like you're baking in the sun. Our server was incredibly attentive despite how busy it was. We were seen almost immediately after sitting and drinks in hand a few minutes after that. The only real downside was parking. Lawnie's Lot had some options, but was $24 for 3 hours. There wasn't any street parking available, though could be viable on a less busy weekend. Part of Henderson was also closed, so likely this played a role, too. Overall, super solid experience. Definitely worth the drive!

Came to Hendy's for brunch and had an interesting experience. This is a place that looks like it's mostly a club at night and has some food during the day. The decor is great and has a fun vibe. However they didn't really do a great job cleaning from the night before. Everything was sticky- the table, the floor, and the seat. Service was strange, we had like 2 servers though both were very nice! The saving grace here is that the food is actually pretty decent. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was good. Nice and juicy. Overall I don't know if I'll come back, I got the sense they cater to a specific crowd (college kids) and I was not part of that.

This place has the potential to be good but just a few mistakes. First, all of our food came out at different times. Second, everything was sticky from the table to the doors like it hadn't been wiped down. Third, the omelet had great flavor overall but was cold in parts.

If you are 30 and under, this is your spot! The food is mediocre, but the drinks I had were good, but take that with a grain of salt because we had prosecco and spritzers. The Zesty Cello was delicious. However the Maui spritzer tasted like grass. My husband liked it though. The food is too oily. We tried each of croquettes. They were a bit oily and the actual croquettes lacked flavor, and the toppings weren't flavorful enough to carry them. My husband got the burger which he said was decent. The fries are really good. I got 1 pancake, and it would have been ok had they actually cleaned the grill before cooking the pancakes. You can taste the meat in the pancakes. They had to have cooked them right where they cooked the burgers because they definitely tasted meaty. I also got the BLT. It was oily and unseasoned. The best thing on the sandwich was the bacon. The sourdough seemed to be dipped in oil, and the fried green tomatoes were deep fried, not pan fried and lacked flavor. I wouldn't go back, but I'm also over 30 and a foodie that travels the world. Lower your expectations if you go for food. Our waitress was the cutest thing and she was nice. It seemed like her first service job. The patio was nice also. Note that they do require a credit card on file. I'll have to leave this one for the youngsters.

Great new little brunch and bar! Perfect location on Henderson. Great vibes. Good for college football and just hanging out. There's 2 dart boards, a pool table and a vape vending machine lolol overall great! The staff are all super nice !

Steak Night is Monday! $36 Ny Strip and $5 sides. Not bad!!

Good food! Nothing crazy elaborate but the fries were super crispy and the steak had good flavor. They actually knew how to cook rare plus - which was a huge bonus. They used a butter gravy on top that I liked. It's definitely a bar first, but if you want dinner - they do that too. Ambiance was nice with beautiful warm light and trendy decor. Service was great. Very pretty and charming young waitress. Steak night is the night I went - Mondays. $4 sides and $36 strips. Cheers.

I was in town from Austin and saw this place recommended on Instagram. The food looked really good so my husband and I decided to give it a try. The vibe wasn't what I was expecting, but not bad. I was expecting a cute, laidback, Sunday brunch vibe but this is definitely a college bar. It was the Red River Showdown weekend so that also amplified the atmosphere, I'm sure. The girls behind the bar were super nice, though, and took great care of us. We thought the food was fantastic. We started with the ahi tuna and pretzel calamari. The tuna was super fresh and light. I was nervous about the pretzel batter for calamari but it was a light flavor instead of thick and heavy like I was worried it might be. The calamari was also cooked perfectly, not dried out and tough. My husband ordered the BLT and I got the breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious, as well, and their breakfast potatoes were probably the best I've had. I think as long as you come in knowing it's a young crowd, you're going to love it!

PROS: the place was spacious and had seating. The prices were good, and they had dart boards. CONS: the staff isn't the nicest and the inside seating is only for bottle service OVERALL: this is a fine place, but I would come back only if my friends want to come here

There is plenty of room to dance and also sit. If you want bottles service for those very busy sold out shows, it's more for convenience of not having to go to the bar and to have a home base to sit if needed. Definitely not the VIP pretentious typical bottle service. Otherwise regular tickets are just as great! Were here to dance, right? Staff is always kind, welcoming and friendly. They also do have a job to do, so there are times they have to be firm and they are not about the riff raff. Respect them and the club and they will respect you. This is a club that remembers why we go out in the first place. This spot strips away all the superficial nonsense of the typical nightlife scene--there's no dress code to stress over and no "gatekeeper" energy. It's a rare, comfortable, no-frills atmosphere where a shared love for the music is the only thing that matters. This isn't a place to "be seen"; it's a space to be yourself. Whether you're a pro dancer or just vibrating in the corner, nobody is judging your style or your outfit. It's pure, unfiltered energy. Tucked into a small strip mall-like storefront, this place is great if you're looking for a more intimate spot. I'm told it functions as a nightclub primarily, but is rentable for private parties, such as ours was. It isn't much to look at on the exterior, but the interior is well-appointed; a lot of dark woods with gold accented fixtures, it looks relatively new and it was very clean - my experiences with nightclubs tend toward 'good at 10 feet' but any closer and you can see the dirt and rundown. Not so, here. The staff were all very courteous and professional; my brother sprang for an open bar so we had bartenders who were very good at their job (and really easy on the eyes too). The catering was done by a local celeb chef, though I can't recall his name - the food was good on the whole, and there was no lack of it. All in all, we had a really good time, and if I were looking for a venue for another party in Dallas, I'd definitely consider this place. They offer valet parking as well.

It's like they're always switching it up which gets really confusing when you want to go to a place based on music alone. Punk Society is small, dark and has the worst photo booth in Dallas. The drinks are weak and there's more seating than places to dance. But I can vibe with Punk because of the three points below. 1. The music is always consistent. Whether its Friday or Saturday, if you want to hear hip hop, then you're going to hear hip hop. You don't have to second guess the tunes because there's a Comic-Con fest in town. 2. Relatively clean bathrooms. Sure, there are only about 4 WC's total but they always seem to be tidy. 3. Girls run the WORLD. A few words of advice...if you're a woman and you're about 2-3 lades deep, the bouncer will let you skip the lines. Typically this will happen anywhere in Dallas but it happens on the regular at PS. The lines don't get too crazy but when it does, this tactic comes in handy. It's a nightmare when it's packed, but there's a couple of cool incentives about this place. A bit of a younger crowd but you'll manage. To sum it all up, Punk Society is a slightly sophisticated hip-hop club with a mixed crowd. It's a good time as long as you take it for what it is. More of a 3.5 establishment but I'm feeling gracious.
