Somewhere along the way, we discovered our dash air was no longer cooling. I found a mobile mechanic who met us at our park in College Park to take a look. It quickly became clear the problem was far more than a simple refrigerant leak, and he recommended ATEL Bus and Truck. I submitted their online form, and later that same day I received a call to schedule an appointment for Monday. I dropped the rig off and returned late that afternoon. A catastrophic compressor failure meant the entire system essentially had to be replaced. We were scheduled to leave Thursday morning, but Brian, the owner, gave us options. He located everything needed and arranged for air shipment with Wednesday delivery. By late Wednesday afternoon, we had a fully working system. The mechanic came out and explained in detail what they had found, along with his thoughts on what caused the failure. The entire team was professional, and Brian made sure we could take the RV back to the park each night so we could sleep in it. I skid in the rain and hit the guardrail, someone called cops, state police came due to state property, i said i would call AAA and they refused and said they couldn't wait for an hour and their towing service would come sooner. They towed, normal tow, nothing unusual or major, facility was 5 miles away. Called the next morning to pick up, and was blown!!! They quoted me $600 for the tow how in the world does anyone charges $600 for an overnight tow? When asked they said "accident" tows are different, how??? Charged me for 20 miles, cleanup charge $125, admin fee $35 and accidental tow charge $299" i called many tow companies to double check and also the state police and they all wondered why the charges were so much. Don't go here!!!…read more Especially if you are going through your insurance!! It took months, at least 3, to repair simple damage to my car. When I first took it for an estimate they said 1 week 2 max for it to be ready. Then said 2 months to receive parts.. But then they keep upping the price and going back and forth with my insurance to get more money from them which took additional weeks for my car to be repaired. One example, they tried to charge my insurance an extra $300 for my car to be towed 1 mile to get a calibration done. When first of all my car was driving fine, only a small dent on my side. Second, they are also a towing company that owns their own tow trucks.. Now listen, I don't care at all about saving my insurance company money cause y'all know how much we pay them. What I do care about is them keeping my car for weeks while they go back and forth trying to squeeze them for every penny... I do understand the insurance company to refuse to pay the tow though... Another example, they said I needed a new rim ( cause it was scratched) and they are waiting for the dealer to send it.. I asked if they can just buff it out so I don't have to wait. And I don't care about little scratches on my rim.. But they told my they already charged the insurance for the new rim.. so i said fine I'll just get the new one but I will like to keep my old one anyway... they said ok.. when I finally went to pick up my car and asked where the old rim was they said they were able to just buff out the scratches... smh... I was so done with them at this point I was like whatever. That's not even all folks, when I finally picked up my car in January after dropping it off in October, the guy said "you are lucky the customer before you had his car here for 6 months and insurance didn't pay for everything he still had to pay thousands plus his deductible they really did him wrong"... I was just thinking no y'all did him wrong.. then I said "I wish I still had Geico cause then I can just drop my car off to one of their designated shops, given a rental in the same location and pick it up a week or 2 later".., he said "yeah well those shops don't do quality work like we do"... ok so my car was detailed and spotless but the rear door didn't line up with the frame so I'm like this doesn't look like quality work it's not even.. he's like let me have them fix it really quick.. I'm like really after all this time .. 30 mins later was better then it was but still not perfect and definitely not quality.. at this point I'm just going take it and be done cause I def didn't want to wait another month for it to be perfect.. I just said it's fine I need to go .. then he told me don't forget to give us a review on yelp that's how we get all our customers..smh... that's how I found this place in the first place.. but I'm like don't worry I will!!! They've been great to talk to over the phone and they'll give you a time and price estimate right when you call. You get a link to watch the truck drive to you with an estimated arrival time. The truck drivers are super nice and professional. They explain the total cost, what they're going to do, and give you a detailed receipt that explains everything. You can pay them directly with either card or credit, and they load your car right then and there. I wish I wasn't a repeat customer lol but they're really awesome!
