Love love love Kelly at OPI! She was recommended to me by a coworker who goes to her every 3 weeks. I always see her adorable nail designs and ask her who did them. The answer was ways Kelly so finally I decided to try her out for my vacation. It was my first time doing dip powder nails so I was a little nervous. I've done gel shellac before and they ruin my nails. They literally peel off in layers after I get the shellac removed. I hated the results even though it lasted a long time. Many say the 'healthier' is dip so I asked Kelly if she could do nail art on dip and she very happily said yes. They have SO many dip powder colors to choose from, it's overwhelming. I showed her a picture of what I wanted on PInterest and she tried her best to mimic it but the glitter she used wasn't quite the same. Kelly was very precise in cleaning and shaping my nail and cuticles. I wasn't expecting her to use a dremel and it made me nervous at some points but she did a good job. Then the long tedious process of dipping my 10 fingernails began. Kelly was patient and never rushed. I definitely recommend her. Price was good too. so we had a walk-in that escalated way out of control for no good reason. my mom likes this place, and i went with her knowing they don't "do anything crazy" but asked for a set with a couple rhinestones, which they assured me they could do. mom wanted a refill which they emphasized is different than getting a new set. (important later) i have to wait until she's almost done for an artist that can take me. nbd. i start explaining where i want the rhinestones and the shape i want. they say long nails cost extra so i say i don't want long nails. but i stop them when they're pushing back my cuticles to clarify that i still want the acrylic base for shaping. at this point my nail artist gets visibly upset with me and says they can't do that since they already started a manicure and it would cost 10 more. my mom is paying, and i was sat pretty far away from her, so i just explain that i would prefer to not pay for the rhinestone set then, and we'd just finish what we already started. i tried to be clear and understanding. i figure that would just end it, but no. my artist starts blaming me for the miscommunication, another tech gets involved to help, and the desk lady jumps in to insist that i knew what i was asking before because it was different than what my mom was getting. (even though before it was different bc she was just refilling an existing set.) idk if they were harassing me to try to make me apologize, or maybe change my mind, but i didn't. i kept politely saying something to the effect of "i understand you now, but that wasn't clear to me before" but they wouldn't stop berating me, and i had already agreed to paying for a service I didn't even want, and i wasn't even being rude about it. so i start to feel like crying and my voice cracks. then my artist LAUGHS at me and just says i should have been more clear about what i wanted before. needless to say, my mom decided she's not going to come here anymore. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ tldr: i let my mom pay and tip for a service i didn't want while my nail tech made me cry. looks ok ig. read more

Stopped by to get an acrylic fill on my nails as I am out of town . Usually costs about $20. But ended up charging me $5 extra for the length and shape of my nails (they are not that long and mind you they were already shaped prior to getting the fill) , $5 to remove my gel polish (even though he only used the electric filer) and $5 for each easy nail design in which he couldn't even execute correctly from what I wanted (REGULAR POLISH). On top of that the nail polish he used didn't even last a week. (Not real OPI) Cheap materials would not recommend. read more

I will give Opi Nail Spa a five star because my first time visiting OPI was two weeks ago! I was serviced right away and my mini/ pedi was great. The employees were all friendly which is important as well, yesterday I returned for a polish change, I was taken right away by Emily. Emily took her time and did a marvelous job on my nails. I have several nail salons in my area..I have tried most of them, and always run into problems! but I am looking for a salon that I can make my monthly go to salon! I'm not from this area but stopped in because quite frankly the nails needed some work and fast. They do accept walk-ins and on a Saturday that was a lifesaver since it's always busy on weekends. Prices are reasonable, they do a thorough job. Quite a few therapists working so you shouldn't have a very long wait. Plenty of parking. It's located in the same mall as the Steinmart. So there you have it from a guy's perspective, easy nail care done quickly. read more

I have never been treated so horribly and ridiculed in front of the few customers. Last Friday I went for a pedicure. The staff sat me in the chair, had my feet soaking in the water, and I was left alone for 15 minutes. I finally asked if anyone was going to help me and they said"enjoy your free massage". I continued to sit in the pedicure chair and another 10 minutes went by. I asked again is someone going to help me. I do not know if it was the owner or one of the employees that said "Just leave". He then started to put me down in front of the other customers. I was really embarassed as I picked up my feet out of the water and left. If I could do zero stars I would I came in the day before the 4th or July asking for a gel manicure. With the salon closing at 7:30 and it being 6:45 I knew it might be a gamble but the people said they would accommodate me and that it would be no problem. I can't believe it but I didn't leave until 9:30 everyone was treating me as if I was wrong for being there at that time. So anyway the very next day my gel began to chip To the point that on some nails it was completely gone. When I went back the following day they told me it was my fault because I came in late !! WTF, I asked for my money back because why would I trust them again? And they forced me to call the police there is no sign that says no refund yet the refuse to give me my money back. Unlike other people I come here all the time for years and it's always a great experience!! Everyone is super nice and even when it's busy they try to make sure everyone gets taken care of! Basing it on their work I've never really had problem with my nails and have gotten many compliments from other people about them and my eye brows are always perfectly done! I ended up at this place because my regular place couldn't fit me in. They did an ok job with my nails but after a week my nails started breaking and chipping. They took a while to complete the services because they kept rotating people in while they were taking care of me, which kind of irritated me. I have been going to OPI nails for over five years. About 6 months ago, management was taken over by a man named Tony. That's when everything changed. He frequently has his little daughter running around the salon and he is always yelling in Vietnamese at the people who work in the salon. The only reason I have stayed with them is that I have always used Kevin to do my nails and he did a good job. He is on vacation now so someone named Lisa did my manicure today. She received a phone call on her cell five minutes into the manicure and put it on speaker phone. The conversation lasted forty minutes. Because she was focused on her call, she cut my finger....and it bled profusely. Instead of saying she was sorry, she sprayed WATER on it. I asked if she had something more medicinal than water and she went to get a styptic formula. Never did she stop talking to her friend on the phone. She did not do a good job polishing my nails and left polish on my skin. When I was ready to leave, the manager, Tony, was outside smoking and I told him I was very unhappy. He told me if I was cut, I must have been on my phone. I told him my phone was zipped in my purse and the only one on the phone was his nail tech. He shrugged his shoulders and said something unintelligible. I told him I didn't know if I would be coming back and he said, "Whatever." I go here all the time to get my nails done. I only trust VY and 2 out of 3 of the ladies to do my nails. I only left here once really unhappy with my nails. As far as customer service it's okay. One incident I won't forget is Danny snapped his fingers at me to pay him before he finished my nails which was really annoying because for one he snapped his fingers at me to pay and two because i never had to pay before I was finished out of all of the times I've been going there. Then i gave him my card and he tossed it back on the desk to me which was really rude. If I put my card in your hand you should put it back in my hand. That's disrespectful. So ever since then I was done with Danny and he has not touched my nails since. VY is fast and good but he's always on his phone a lot. Literally all the time. Very annoying but he's still pretty fast and good. One lady (I can't remember her name) is very bad at doing nails. She started my nails and someone had to finish. I just know her face and i never let her do my nails anymore. Overall it's okay. I tried a new place for my recent set of nails that i am in LOOOVE with. I got them done at New Image Nails in Pembroke and since my visit I realized that OPI nails is really for the elderly. They can't do much to your nails as far as something trendy or stylish. I wanted the chrome holographic nails but they didn't know how to do them. So that is why i went to new image nails. It was quite a drive but i left very pleased and they were very friendly. I'm considering taking the drive to new image nails from now on. If you go ask for Lee! He really gave me beautiful coffin shaped nails. Better than i ever had at OPI nail. If you are over 30 Opi nails may be okay for you. But I'm only 21 so this place is good for giving me plain jane everyday nails. But if it's a big event or a special occasion they don't know howdo much more for the occasion. read more

I was searching to get a good pedicure & my friend with me wanted to get a fill, they only had me wait 5 minutes for a pedicure but my friend waited about 50 minutes! Several people walked in after us and got helped rig as the workers looked at my friend and didn't help her at all, now I'm already done with my pedicure and my friend still has yet to get her service done!
