We walked in just because of proximity to have a girls mani pedi, the host, while polite, was not able to give recommendations as to if we should do gel, tips etc. the packages and prices are not listed anywhere so you have to ask "what does this include" every step of the way. I just did a pedi and the lady barely spoke English but I was telling her that the stool for my feet is too close to me and my legs have been bent for a while so I'm not comfortable, she told me twice in a rough tone to just hold on cause she has to see. Had an appt scheduled and they kindly fit me in 20 mins later as I was running a bit late due to a last minute conflict. Went in for a simple removal advertised as $10 on their website (see photos). Somehow, I walked out spending $30. The acetone they used on my hands left my fingers pink and dry, the tech working on me seemed disinterested and literally arrived to the location after me, hurt me by nipping my nail beds with the tool, and they didn't even clean under my nails or provide lotion so I could save my hands from the dryness I felt once they put that acetone on me. Walked out spending THIRTY TWOOO dollars for a service advertised as $10. Perplexed disappointed and not coming back. For $30 they could at least trim my nails to make sure they're all the same length or at the absolute minimum have some lotion. I booked a salon because I wanted a better job than I could do myself and walked out looking like my 11 year old sister did my removal--had to dig the remaining product (builder from my removal) out from under my nails, file, cut, and lotion myself at home. The intimate setting of Floreana, the talented technicians, and clean environment really set this nail spa above the others in the area. It's a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing experience. I've had mani & pedis from many different people and they all have done a great job. Most recently I had a manicure with Bionca based on seeing many good reviews mentioning her. She helped me pick a color because I was indecisive and you can tell she takes pride in her work because she did an amazing job. I like that they have a selection of nail polish that is non toxic which is better for your nails. You get to choose from a few essential oils to go with your lotion for your light massage. She cut my nails so short and made them square. She didn't show me the length before she started cutting multiple nails. When I realized I asked if she could make them more oval shaped (like I asked) and this is what I ended up with. At the end of the manicure she told me I would be dry in 10 minutes. Less than impressed. I came here because ascetically, the salon is very pleasing. Unfortunately, that's the most impressive part of the salon. The prices are far too high for what they provide. I got a gel manicure that lasted me less than two weeks, which normally I can get at-least a month from my regular salon. My nail tech also cut me while trimming my cuticles and put some sort of product on the cut to stop the bleeding, however, all it did was dry blood into my manicure for the next 2 weeks. My nail tech was also the front desk host for the day and she continued to get up and down mid manicure. She was very nice, however it did not make up for the fact that I didn't feel like a valued customer. But more an inconvenience as she needed to tend to the front desk. It should be noted, that I was not a walk in and had made an appointment over a week before. My friend came in with me and wanted to do a design, as seen on Floreana's Instagram, to which she was met with a lot of resistance and hesitation. They did complete her request however, and it did mostly look like their posted photo. I won't be back. For what they charge, I should have left much happier and with longer lasting results. Disappointing and unless they make drastic changes, this salon will not make it. read more

I recently revisited this salon. What a great experience. If you are looking to unwind and get great service, this is the nail salon for you. Spa vibes, no harsh smells, quiet, non-toxic color options. Pricier but you get what you pay for. I lucked out and got my mani and pedi at the same time. Sandra did my pedicure and she asked all the important questions and really took pride in her work. I didn't catch the other women's name who did my mani but she was great as well. I had higher hopes for this place & wanted to fall in love with it. The person that picks up the phone is amazing. It's low toxic which is why I was surprised they carry OPI but at least there are alternatives. Anyhow, I believe her name was Julie (Peruvian) she did my manicure & Bionca did my pedicure. I informed both that I do not want my cuticles cut- only pushed back. They were shocked. (I told them I have never been anywhere that can cut my cuticles without them peeling back within 24-48 hours of my appointment & it keeps going and hurts & bleeds periodically for weeks). They both said well that's because they are cutting it too short. I responded I never have a problem if it's just pushed back so that's what I want. Anyhow, my manicurist goes on to cut what most of us call cuticles but it's the part attached to the live skin that feels pain- It hurts & I tell her to please stop as I can feel it pulling. She says no I'm cutting. I said no you're pulling it before the tool is cutting. I don't know if it's dull or what but she doesn't stop listening until I said you keep doing it. Please stop. Anyway, 24 hours later my cuticles are peeling back as I said they would. Only on my hands. I'm irritated as I said to her I am pregnant & due any day & I don't want to deal with that feeling on my hands in addition to everything else. Bionca did a good job & responded to my request with respect which I appreciated. I will say if you add on a massage with your pedicure I'd keep in mind it's basically just lotion being rubbed lightly on your skin- I couldn't personally call that a massage but maybe it is to some. Anyhow, I don't mind paying any price point but the fact that my request was not respected bothered me. I am accustomed to a higher level of service and thought maybe because of the higher price point the service would be better- it was not. Overall the vibe of the people that work there was subpar. My service was underwhelming & so was the experience so I don't have any interest in trying this place again & will be trying a different low toxic salon in the future. Imagine a nail salon that doesn't smell like acrylic. You enter the salon and it's a cottony pink and cream dream with natural decor. All the products are eco friendly without toxic chemicals. Sounds amazing, like it's to good to be true right? Well, it kinda is. I was recommended Floreana by a client of mine. Being a massage therapist, I use my hands A LOT and need short nails. Having not had any manicures in the past 6 years (I know right?!), I was going in pretty open. Booking online was super simple and all the descriptions were listed for each service. They do NOT do any sorta of combo specials (mani/pedi). So I booked a Floreana Non Toxic (rose himalayan soak, nail shaping, cuticle care, organic exfoliating scrub, detoxing mud mask, hot towel and 10-minute massage with organic lotion). I was looking forward to that 10 min hand massage. Reality came crashing in once I sat down with my tech Johanis. She didn't introduce herself and kept looking at her apple watch throughout the appt. No small talk at all. She immediately went to work on my nails. Only stopping to apologize for knicking me while cutting my cuticles. The massage . Wow..... it left a lot to be desired. There was no pressure and just a lot of stroking my forearm. Total time spent here was about 4 and a half minutes. My phone was on and I timed it during because that's the only reason I paid for the $42 service as opposed to the $22. Next came the polish. Yes it is a light color. Yes I understand it's hard to apply. But these are professionals. I expect layers that are not visible on the edges, even coats and clean edges. All i got was clean edges. So for my birthday my mother and I initially attempted to get our nails done at a place by the beach. After deciding the place we were initially going to go to was not clean enough or practicing enough Covid safety procedures, we decided to just wing it and find somewhere else. At first glance we were certain that Floreana would be the nail place of our dreams.. So it is undeniable that the ambience here is OUTSTANDING. It's literally like walking into a little dream. In addition to the gorgeous decor, the low volume capacity is also extra appealing giving Covid. The chairs that they have you sit in are comfortable and clearly not "cheap," but I will say that the pedicure situation was a little whack for me as a tall person. I have lower back problems, and pretty much was told (because my nail tech was tall) that I had to hold myself in an awkward uncomfortable position because they couldn't bend down so I could put my legs in a more comfortable position. Very weird. Perhaps the biggest issue that really brought the overall experience to just "OK" was that we paid for the "extra" and I really don't believe anything extra was done. It was the shortest, probably most pathetic, leg massage i've ever gotten in my 20 years of getting my nails done. They shouldn't be charging you more if they aren't going to provide more. My mom and I wish we would have said something before we left about this, it was pretty lame. Also, overall it was just not a warm inviting as far as the overall experience went. It was my birthday, my mom certainly made a huge deal about it (as mother's do), and no one even said anything to me about it till when we were leaving and my mom felt compelled to drop the birthday bomb AGAIN. LOL. Truthfully, I probably won't come back. It's sad. When I asked how much it would be they said $25...somewhat pricey, but thought whatever I am in a rush and always willing to pay a little more for a good job and cleanliness. I picked my polish and sat down to the station. The nail tech informed me that it would be an additional $10 to take off my existing polish. Isn't that the POINT OF A POLISH CHANGE???? Immediately they tried to upscale for the most expensive polish that was old and thick at $48. The technician was running late and the pedi started 10 min later- ok no biggie I am patiently waiting. Then she got up 3 times in the first 10min for different things that had nothing to do with the service- like to break a $10 really?! then took a while to return. She filed my nails round without asking what shape I preferred. Overall the pedi did come out nice but there's one rounded nail that looks odd. The stand used for the feet is a bit uncomfortable especially the plastic cover for the bowl is slippery. They offered me a tea and brought a totally different flavor than the one I chose.
