I found this place via the ZocDoc website (yes, it's awesome and you should use it if you're looking for any type of doctor) and made my appointment online after checking it out on YELP. I wanted a Saturday appointment and this office fit the bill. Upon arrival, I was greeted promptly and I filled out all my new patient paperwork. I was immediately escorted back to start the exam. The Doctor's assistant completed my initial tests and then Dr. Hartman completed my exam. I was impressed with how friendly and down to earth Dr. Hartman was. He completed my exam and I ended up needing glasses for night driving due to a slight astigmatism (bummer). I have never needed glasses my entire life. This was an entirely new experience for me! I was whisked away from my exam to pick out some frames. I looked around and noticed that the office was nicely appointed with a modern waiting area and plenty of designer frames to choose from. The assistant I worked with was very helpful! She was very patient in walking me through my insurance co-pays and explained what was covered/ what wasn't covered. She also helped me pick out some cute frames and gave me truthful advice on what frames looked good/ what frames didn't look good. I picked out a pair and now I'm waiting for them to arrive (quoted 5-7 business days). I was very pleased with my experience at this office and would definitely recommend Dr. Hartman and Optic Gallery to others. My appointment was a breeze in all aspects. Very nice staff, have ordered a new glass, took like 3 weeks because of my eyes are so bad that special glasses need to be ordered. The first pair of glasses has a glare on the edges, which was quite disturbing. They ordered new glasses for me and after 10 days I got new perfect glasses. This was my first experience at the eye doctor and I was a bit nervous because I had read some not so great reviews, but I had a great experience even with it covid going on. I could see how some said it felt very rushed because I got check in and was in a room less than 5 minutes, but it didn't feel rushed at all. Everyone was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and when the actual doctor came in her was great and very reassuring. Friday 3pm eyeglass pick up. NASTY DIRTY FOUL USED FAKE EYELASHES STUCK TO THE UNWASHED DESK. Dirty communal pens for their reusable forms ,which are also dirty. Then the employee refused to readjust the bent frames, raised her voice at me and told me my ears were uneven. I was forced to PROVE I WAS NOT DEFORMED by pulling out my identical pair that I already owned in a different color. A different employee was able to fix the glasses in a matter of minutes, and they fit fine. I have purchased FIVE PAIRS THIS YEAR for my family. This pair alone cost 600 dollars. You have to pay extra if you want more than a few centimeters of clarity in "PROGRESIVE" lenses. Then instead of eyeglass cleaner they gave me a plastic bag of assorted candy and garbage and demanded a good review if I wanted my "FREE GIFT" . If you are so concerned about the planet that you use those disgusting germ coated forms and pens, why would you have customers DRIVE BACK to the store for the " FREE GIFT". The employee who refused to do her job and yelled that I was deformed disappeared and never said sorry or that she was wrong. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. Put a review on facebook, and I am the first in 2 years to do so. I went here to update my prescription and this place is really solid; it's not too crowded and the staff is really friendly. the wait as a walk-in is kinda long so I suggest making an appointment. they take many insurances! I also have astigmatism and my colored contacts came in right away, not even a week later! I love getting new stuff and I'm excited to come in next month and get new glasses!!! //UPDATE: I got new glasses here at 2pm on a weekday during holiday break! it wasn't crowded, and picking out a frame and paying only took a short 25 minutes!! After going to nearly 10 optometrists to find new glasses, I was beginning to despair I might never find one in Las Vegas that offered the same level of service as my old East Coast optometrist. Then I walked into the Optic Gallery at Anne and Centennial Pkwy! The store is spacious and well organized with a wide variety of frames at many price points. I was immediately greeted in a friendly way (which cannot be said of most of the other places I tried) and then, within a minute or two, offered personal assistance from Jessica, who actually seemed to care that I purchase the frames that were right for me. She guided me to the best styles for my face and helped me try on several varieties, offering her honest and helpful opinion along the way. She helped me find a pair of frames that I hadn't even considered before, and I was extremely happy with my choice. Of course, I decided I wanted to special order a different color from what was in stock, which wasn't a problem until it turned out they were on back order from the manufacturer. But no problem, Jessica found a sales rep who hand-delivered the frames--no waiting at all! That's fantastic service! The prices at this location are a little higher than at other area stores, so I wouldn't recommend this location if you are looking for a bargain (stick to the BOGO offers at the mall stores in that case). However, given the level of service and obvious attention placed on customers, I highly recommend Optic Gallery at Anne and Centennial Pkwy. read more

I give this location a 3/5 stars because the staff is pleasant and they have a good selection of glasses. I didn't give them 5 stars because it's taking a long time to get my glasses. This is the second time I've gone to this location and both times I've had to wait longer than promised to get my glasses. I call for updates and the pick up date keeps getting pushed back when I do get an answer or I'm told someone will call me back and it doesn't happen. I tried to give them a second chance after swearing I wouldn't after the first experience. I will not be giving them a third try. Here's to hoping I can get my glasses in 3 weeks... read more

I like Dr Hartman but his staff is incompetent dishonest and racist. Today i had an app for 9am and arrived At 8:55am. The door was locked and they clearly watched me standing at the door until I called. Then a man walked out and the girl told me to wait because they are at capacity. So when she comes back At 9:04am she tells me that they Moved their schedule around and I was 20 min late REALLY ( as life I can't tell time) so I cant be seen until 930am. Clearly lied to my face. So i left and called to speak to the manager she was racist dishonest and incompetent as well. I will not be returning. Complete wait. I don't live close. read more

We've been going to this office for 5 years! Dr. Hartman is an awesome doctor!! But the office staff that answer the phone are extremely RUDE !!!! We made our appointment 2 months ago then they called and had to change the appointment. I was cool with that, things happen!!! Today was our appointment at 10:30am . I called to see if we could squeeze one more person in.They sad NO and your appointment was at 9:00am. I said no, you guys called us last week and changed our time !! The guy was so damn rude on the phone to my daughter! I don't understand how you can speak to a customer so rude. They just lost 5 customers!!! Every aspect of the visit was awesome! First, I showed up at the wrong location, but the front desk checked and made sure I would be seen when I showed up at the right location. Thank goodness, I was able to keep my appointment with Dr. Hartman. I arrived to several friendly greetings. There was a short wait (had to fill in paperwork for 1st visit). All of the tests were in one room, instead multiple rooms. Very short wait, then the doc came in. Dr. Hartman was sincere and thorough. He explained the tests and I was impressed with the technology - a machine able to look at the structure of the eye similar to an MRI. Alana was awesome, in getting me ready to pick a few frames, then make a decision. She made suggestions to maximize my vision benefits. The price was $400 less than I spent in 2018 for new glasses (that were only for computer work). I'm really looking forward to getting my new glasses, and going back to Optic Gallery! It was the best experience with a vision provider that I've had in Las Vegas ( been here for about 30 years). They are professional, positive and focused on their customers. Made my day! read more
