Today was my eye exam! one thing when I tried to book an appointment three weeks ago is they had no appointments available! They did however told me there was a cancellation in the next two days if I really needed to come in sooner! I was not able to take advantage of a cancellation! Nevertheless I was able to book an appointment on the day of the week I was able to three weeks away! I was on time and so were they to get me through the entire eye exam in a timely manner! after all the necessary medical tests my eyes turned out to be healthy and all I need is to get some new lenses Which will take a couple of weeks! Positives: always on time. Negatives:: 1. The doctor is rushing through the appointments (explains the positive mentioned above). 2. Never return your calls or reply to the messages/emails. Very helpful staff and the quality of work is excellent! This is the third time I'm getting my glasses from Optical Images.

I found Dr. Cusic through my insurance provider. He was listed as a doctor that could facilitate my pre and post care for lasik, as well as work with a registered lasik center with my coverage (the whole point was to utilize my insurance benefits). Upon arriving to my appointment, no one was in the front office. I strolled around the shop aimlessly for about five minutes as Cherie (whom I would later meet, and found to be very nice) finished up a phone chat in the back. Eventually, I was walked back to the run down and grim exam room. Dr. Cusic took a quick look at my eyes and said that I was a candidate in an exam that lasted less than a minute, then started to tell me about the surgeons he worked with and how (direct quote) "they are so annoying." I thought he was being funny, but he wasn't. I asked him to clarify what he meant and he explained they are annoying "because they do everything perfectly and by the books, and as a small business owner that's really annoying." Oooookay... so they do good work. And they will take my insurance? "Oh no. No they don't do that." So I went and did more research. Again, the whole point was to work with a center that could take my insurance. I connected with TLC laser center and set up a free consultation, then asked Dr. Cusic's office to send over my exam notes for reference. What a surprise to discover that Dr. Cusic falsified medical documents when he sent them over!! He not only wrote down that my eyes had been dialated for the exam, but falsely documented the "exact time" the drops were administered, and what the measurements were while dilated. TLC kept asking me, are you SURE they didn't put drops in your eyes, bc it says right here... Listen, I've been going to do eye doc for almost 30 years. Eye drops and dilations? Not my first rodeo. Had this point not been confirmed at TLC, it could have been catastrophic. When I asked Dr C about this, he said the form was really long and confusing and since he had never used that form before it was just a silly mistake. How confusing can a form be to make up a time that you put drops in my eyes, and then continue to add false notes? Still waiting to see what he billed my insurance for. Will update once I know. TL;DR poor service, malpractice, basic incompetence. I would avoid at all costs, and urge you to look elsewhere. read more

The only place we'll go for our checkups and glasses, Tim and the gang are not only super nice but always get things handled effortlessly. When frames get bent, checkups are needed or anything else comes up they don't do anything but go above and beyond to get things taken care of. Eye Doctors are hard to find that can make your vision right ...THE FIRST TIME!! Dr Ross Cusic and his staff are extremely professional and have the latest state of the art equipment in correcting vision issues. I've been seeing Dr Cusic now for the last 5yrs and I plan to continue to see him. I have stigmatism's and he has made my ability to see fantastic. First time visit today and will continue to recommend this group to anyone in need of optical care. The service was excellent from the initial booking contact with Karen up through to frame selection and out the door, and I prefer to support local businesses whenever possible. They made it a joy to do so today. Dr. Cusic is prompt, friendly, efficient and excellent; I was thrilled to have an eye doctor that verbally walked me through all of the checks he was doing and giving status updates as we went. While helping me select frames, Tim understood without saying a word that I had something specific in mind and continued to offer options as I time and again remarked that I didn't like "something" about this pair or that. (I'm a little picky, and I've had a lot of frames through the years.) The third pair he picked out, I initially shrugged over them but ended up coming back each time; they're the ones I finally chose. He worked with my insurance plan, asked how well these glasses would work in my current job (lots of computer time) and blew me away with his concern and care. I have been going to Dr. Ross for quite a while now. I like everyone at this office. Karen at the front desk is very nice and helpful. I've had glasses since I was in high school. I decided I would try contacts for the first time. I was very nervous about this since a bad experience a couple years ago. The doctor and staff were very helpful and worked with me to find a good match. It took them no time to get my prescription accurate and help get the contacts to fit correctly. Dr. Cusic and staff are great. Excellent service is always hard to find these days but these folks not only top my expectations but showed me how they care. I had an eye emergency which Dr. Cusic was extremely helpful and quick in his diagnosis. I needed surgery that same day! These previous reviews are clearly for a different doctor who was at the same office previously. It is now run by Dr. Cusic. I could not have had a worse experience, starting from the time I walked in the door. The receptionist was extremely short and cold. The doctor was odd and felt like he was interrogating me. After my exam, I asked if I could order contacts, all the receptionist said was "yes". No help or interest in helping me, she just walked off and said have a nice day. So I left paying a good amount of money for a prescription that they wouldn't help me utilize. read more

I had a very bad experience here, I was being completely honest every time I was asked a question. The doctor seemed very upset when I didn't answer his question how he wanted me to, and shook his head at me. He would ask if the letters got blurry and I would say no, and he would get so angry. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I was quite frankly, shocked by how I was treated here. He was angry that I don't wear my current glasses, since they are too small. He asked what my glasses did for me and I told him that they make everything much clearer. He raised his voice and said that there's nothing in the glasses to make things clearer, even though when I put my glasses on, everything gets clearer. I felt like he was trying to trick me into saying something different than what was really happening, and something felt off about him right from when he first walked into the exam room. read more

Tim is still the best optical assistant in town. What's not to like about a guy who won't let you leave with frames that make you look stupid! I do have a tendency to go with the expensive and often odd looking frames, but Tim usually slaps some sense into me. It's like taking your mom with you but without the incessant nagging. read more

For most people, an eye exam is pretty routine, but not for me! Through the last several years, my eyes have become increasingly more sensitive to light--especially the light needed for a routine eye exam. In the past, and with other eye doctors, my discomfort was not taken seriously, actually met with annoyance. This was not the case with Dr. Ross Cusic. Not only was Dr. Cusic concerned about my discomfort, but he identified the cause, something that should not have been going on uncheck. He provided a regiment of care that has eliminated the related eye pain in the night. I experienced Dr. Cusic not only as a knowledgeable professional, but as an empathetic and caring medical provider. The receptionist listened to my issue and was happy to help me out. Shari went over my benefits and was very helpful. This office is not flashy but don't read a book by it's cover. I was lucky enough to stumble upon Dr. Cusac because of my insurance provider. I actually chose to go to his office because his receptionist/Office manager was so friendly... Regardless of how I got there, this guy is the REAL DEAL. he is the best Eye doctor I've seen in all 10 years I've relied on glasses. He recently guided me through Lasik with Dr. Ford at Pacific Cataract &Laser (lasik?) Institute. Not only do I think this Dr is talented, professional, and pleasant- everyone at Dr Ford's office sang his praises as well. The Dr's there "checked" his work and notes, and he was dead- on with every single detail (again, not surprised- but nice to know, since these are your EYES) Also- he has later hours during some week days which makes this a wonderful choice for anyone who has trouble making personal appointments due to work hours. His staff does an amazing job reminding you of the appointments- using email and text (which I appreciate) and are always polite and pleasant. read more

This office is a little off the beaten track on the side of a strip mall but it is well marked from the street and worth the time to find. Dr. Cusic is thorough, personable, and quick. Tim Rexroat goes out of his way to provide excellent customer satisfaction. First, he took a lot of time and even managed to have my difficult to make special prescription progressive lens redone, after he wasn't pleased how it looked. He didn't give up, and got it done beyond my expectations. Then, a year later, when the frame broke after I moved out of state, he went out of his way to have everything ready for a short turn around after I dropped my glasses off during a trip to Seattle. He actually took the time to personally mail them so it wouldn't be delayed. I was really happy. Fast forward a couple of years, and the rimless frame broke again in a different spot (I am really hard on my glasses). I called Tim, he took the time right away, he remembered me, looked up my information and provided it to me on the spot so I could replace a nose piece. Way to go Tim! I think you and your team at Optical Images have demonstrated the best examples of customer service that deserve outstanding recognition. read more

Terrible customer service. I left two messages during office hours within three days and no one calls back. The doctor prescribed me glasses during a dry eyes spell and when I got the glasses , I couldn't see clear. I refused them, and got new ones done, but those lenses were not good either. They felt too strong. I got told to get used to it. He also recommended tear duct plugs and put in some temp plugs to try out. They were too small and I lost them after three hours. When I went back to tell them, I was not offered to get a new set, but got charged $600 which I refused to pay and fought with them for 6 month. My new eye doctor treats me for dry eye, never mentioned duct plugs and refuses to prescribe me new lenses unless my dry eye is under control. This is how a patient should be treated. read more
