The doctors here are great, quick, and are able to get your prescription correct in minutes. They managed to correct my prescription as well as my son's so that we now have glasses that allow us to see, read, and work without straining. The gentleman that works there, I don't know his name so my apologies, is awesome, very professional, friendly, etc. The other staff is decent, but you feel like you're bothering them by being there. The seats absolutely destroyed my back, but they're moving so I'm hoping they leave those chairs behind. read more

My wife's Initial exam was 11/26/24. 12/06/24 I went to pick up glasses (single vision for both pairs- distance and reading glasses). Right lens on both pairs were distorted. Associate didn't bother to recheck the lenses. I was told I had to schedule a re-exam with the Dr. On 12/09/24 I did the re-exam. The optometrist re-examined my eyes. He said the right lenses on both pairs were completely distorted but did not correct the lab prescription??? The sphere was noted as "0" on the right eye which means no corrections needed. That made no sense since my vision in both eyes are bad. He said he to send lt back to the lab to have it corrected and someone would get in touch with me and when the corrected glasses were ready for me to be sure to see the Dr. . On 12/19/24 I called for status of glasses. No one had an answer and was told they would check with the lab. After 3 hours I called back and was told the glasses weren't ready. I asked if the glasses were actually sent back to the lab on 12/10/24 or just now being sent out. Supposedly sent out on 12/10/24. On 12/30/24 I called and the automated machine said no such customer phone number was found. I went to Optical Outlet to find out what was going on and get the status of the glasses. The associate found one pair for distance. Nothing was changed on the right lens prescription. The associate never offered to check the lens, she was the only employee working at that time and the Dr wasn't in. I requested a refund and was told they don't give refunds. I had to speak with the Manager the following day. 12/31/24 I went back and spoke with the manager, Miriam Aponte. She said I had 3 options: have the lab redo the lens sphere again( but she didn't think they would still be correct), she said I can do a re-exam with the Dr., or get a refund. Miriam refused to interrupt the Dr. She told me a refund would be credited back by Friday 01/03/25 but she had to get approval from the Senior District Manager Logan Wilson. As of today 01/07/25 no credit was submitted. read more

The appointment making process is very easy. You can book online which is a nice feature. The office is small and clean. The doctor and staff are friendly. The issue is that you will wait a long time in the office so p if you are there for an exam and glasses/contacts, plan to be in the office for 2 hours or more even with an appointment. My last two appointments I made at 10:30 and didn't leave until after 12:30 due to the doctor getting backed up with patients. What a great place to go and get your eye exam and glasses all in one place! We had an appointment at their other location on Colonial, but after my son broke his glasses, we decided to go and see if they could squeeze us in. Thankfully the Colonial store was really busy and they were not able to, so one of the employees called this store to see if they could get us in and they were able to that day. When we arrived we were greeted and helped right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The eye Dr. was also very nice and informative. For fitting both me and my son in at last min, we were in and out in less then 2 hrs. They also said it would only take a week to get our glasses. We really like the glasses we picked out and thankfully it is all covered by insurance. We cant wait to go and be able to pick them up! read more

I went there twice now. Both times there was an hour delay. If you have other things to do that day, shift your appointment like 90 minutes earlier. Frames are overpriced compared to Sam's Club. The service was excellent, but the quality of frames is horrendous. Even their most expensive are not very good, they must have cost $1.00 when bought from China, I am assuming they are from China. I got two, one for $70.00 and it is as cheap as it can be, and one for $85.00 (I had to pay the extra $15.00) which is a little bit better but still a piece of junk. My insurance only allows me two glasses of $70.00 each. They are so cheap that when you touch one against the other you can here the cheap plastic, it is really a disgrace because the staff are very good, the Dr. is very good and funny. I would have given them a 5-star, but the quality of their frames, which is no fault of the staff, is so bad, that if you have choices, then choose someone else, or be stuck with cheap plastic frames. read more

I had called 3 times prior to my appt to verify that my insurance will cover and how much the copay will be, never got an answer. Day of appt I called at 8:30am and got machine that office was closed so called back at 10:30 am and was told I have no copay. My son arrives to his appt and was told that insurance will not cover today's appt and that they tried to call me around 8am, I had no missed calls or message. I went in just to get a nose pad which I guess fell off my glasses. The gentlemen in the store was cordial and said he could take care of it right away. After 5 minutes, he came out from the back with new nosepads attached. I thanked him and asked how much did I owe him. He said, no charge and wished me and my girlfriend a good day. First off it was a very difficult place to find, and GPS was no help because it was in the middle of the woods. I traveled very far because last year the lady Dr. Lee was just starting and was very nice. This year half the people in this place were robotic, and the other half was in a rush day and night. They did not have the right information on my medical insurance and was telling me I only had $300 instead of $350 for lenses. They are very expensive for those with insurance. The doctor forgot my records stated I needed to get the eye exam before my pupils were dilated due to a central nervous system condition. Or they forgot to put it in the records when I saw her last year.. I realized it when I was home, but when I called and asked for a recheck they said that Dr. Lee would not recheck me unless I paid again, even though it should have been in my records not to check me with dilation. Dr. lee would not even get on the phone with me though Unis a very nice lady asked her twice. She just said she did everything right without speaking with me at all! I was not given a prescription as I left because I was the last patient and a few minutes late due to the difficulty of finding the hidden place that I was not told was in the Mall. I am shocked at Dr. Lee's non concern for a mistake that was clearly told to her last year but overlooked this year. Finally after two weeks my ins. confirmed what my allowance was, ( not what optical outlet told me) but now I will have to get contacts that are not strong enough, or take another $60 out of the lens allowance to see this Chameleon of a Dr. that tells you to come back any time (as long as you pay again) then will not even get on the phone for a minute with you to discuss a problem with the exam. There is no way I would go back to her even if she was the last place I could go. I do not go to doctors that act as high and mighty as she thinks she is. I went to Fisher eye associates for 12 years and never had a problem, but they do not take medicare . Very unpleasant last two week ordeal and I still do not have the correct, or any prescription. read more
