I saved up for months to get my first home. Signed all the papers that was a 5 year loan that's right only 5 years on the papers I signed. First payment came and I called, turns out somehow 5 years turns into a 14yr loan for 144k !!! for a used 2024 camper! I bought a brand-new RV six months ago and finally got the chance to use it this past weekend--only to find the on-demand hot water heater leaking as fast as water was going into it. Completely unusable right out of the gate. Here's the real problem: Optimum RV is all smiles when they're taking your money, but once you drive off the lot, good luck getting any real help. First, I was told it was under warranty. Then I got dumped into a voicemail that promised a callback in 24 hours--never happened. Called again, suddenly it's "not covered," and I should pay out of pocket. When I asked how a brand-new RV with a first-use failure isn't under warranty, they hung up on me. Hung up. That tells you everything you need to know. Called a third time, got someone in sales who took my info and promised a manager would call me back. Still nothing. So here's the point: this place is great at selling you something, but terrible at standing behind it. If something breaks--and apparently it will--you're on your own. It took us over 2 months to get our camper after buying it in July 2025. Even then, things did not work properly. They finally stopped taking our calls and then did not take the calls from the manufacturer after we complained. Now we discovered the toilet leaks and my spouse is adamant about not taking it there to be serviced. At first everyone seemed so friendly but after the papers are signed, nobody wants to have anything to do with you. To their credit, they did reimburse two months of our loan payment for our troubles. But I would not take any more chances on them. I don't even know where to start with describing my experience with this establishment. I will I suppose just mention my last experience. Battery dead. 6 week old battery in New camper. 8 calls. Unable to speak to anyone in service or parts. Unable to get information on returning battery that had a 12 month warranty. The battery installed in the camper was originally an interstate starting battery. NOT a deep cycle battery. The guy at AutoZone laughed at the fact a new camper came with a starting battery. He was surprised I got the 6 weeks use out of it. Optimum stopped answering my calls. So I paid out of pocket for my battery. What gets me...8 calls and no one could help me get documentation on the battery to show proof of a purchase/ use date. 8 calls. The last 3, she just hung up on me..."transferring" me. Please do your research before purchasing here. 6 weeks and I still have no tag either. They only have one person that processes that info. The detailing service when you buy new is not detailing. It's not washed. It's not cleaned. Got smear marks and finger prints on all the appliances. Took over 5 hours for the walk through... They lost the keys and had to problem solve that. So if you want to wait for repairs after you purchase what is supposed to be a top of the line Rv they will gladly sale you a camper,Rv .. our new Residence model had over 10 pages of defects that we were not informed of.. Which is the most dishonest business ethics ever.. The owners are nothing short of con artist selling factory rejects as luxury rvs.. I purchased a motorhome on March 22, 2025. I flew from Massachusetts to pick it up on April 11, 2025. Today is May 5 and I still have no license plates for it. Optimum has terrible customer service and keep blaming the third-party company that does their out-of-state registrations. I talked to that company and they did not receive any paperwork from optimum RV until April 14 and the paperwork I received was wrong. Steer clear, is my recommendation. Unless you do not mind being manipulated and bullied when you do not do what they want, which is to allow them to rip you off. My experience was at the Spartanburg, SC dealership. Steven is the name of sales person that which I had the unfortunate experience. He said he was a Spartanburg Police Detective. Not a very prudent disclosure given his manipulative, bullying type of behaviors. I was interested in selling my toy hauler. Steven made me a ridiculous offer for the unit and then he refused to provide me with a written estimate. Further, he expected me to sign the title over with nothing more than a verbal that, "the check will be there in 7-10 business days". When I questioned this nonsense, he became agitated and insisted that that is how dealerships conduct business. Ridiculous. When I made the decision that I would give it away to someone of my choosing before selling it to them, they would not allow the church organization to pick the unit up at the dealership. I wood stay as far away from this dealership as I could. I was promised several things during the negotiation phase, a service of the unit, a replacement of a missing ladder. Waited 3 weeks after purchase fir a walk thru with a maintenance person which was a nightmare. Low tire pressure, propane guage was not working, missing ladder, no septic line as promised. Got unit home after showing out and the power steering fluid line blew off. The unit has not been out of my yard yet. No real help from them at all. I had to pay someone to fix it and check everything else out. I paid $6500 for an extended warranty that didn't cover it. I would stay away. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! UNSAFE!!! service department and sales have no knowledge of what customer service is nor what acceptable workmanship is when it comes to fixing issues, most importantly welding. They think its appropriate to have a customer drive off the lot with unsafe axel hangers. They hired a delivery company that ran our camper into a ditch, resulting in bent axel hangers amongst other issues. When arrival to pick up (2 hours from our home) because we were told by service the work was completed, we were appalled at the welding job. Service had nothing to say in terms of how to approach the situation. In fact, they actually AGREED it was horrible and said that they told the person in charge the welder had done a horrible job. This resulted in us having to leave the camper there because we felt it was too much of a liability to leave the lot and drive it down the road nonetheless take it on camping trips. This resulted in us going to the optimum dealer to ask to trade in the camper (this was brand new and had issues on the first trip, hence why it was there to begin with) or just pay off the loan and return our down-payment so we could get one elsewhere as we have yet ANOTHER trip planned we won't be able to make but they refused and the GM told my husband to just proceed with seeking legal counsel. You can see in these pictures the poor welding, crappy bracket, and lack of a gusset piece along with our underskirt being burnt and cut. P.S they replaced our couch also with a new one as the first one had minor tear but replaced it with a stain on the cushion... but said everything was ready read more

We bought an Rv and took in to have a few things done. Went in before hand to inquire about pricing and made an appointment for two days later. We were told that we'd be able to pick it up later that day. I called to check on the progress and they hadn't even started and said they'd have to order a small part. It's now been a week in a half and they kept coming up with more and more that needed to be done. They never called me I always had to call them. Then the price. Over the top. They wanted to change over one hour to replace a GFI at $189 per hour. The wrong part came in both for the stairs and then the radio they ordered was also wrong. When I asked for a run down on pricing they kept coming up with an entirely different amount and I said that I added it and they were wrong. I was supposed to agin pick it up last Friday and then was told now it needed a converter at a cost of $800 plus labor. I have to keep calling for an update and I just called them again and apparently the tech who was working on it called in sick, they assigned one tech and that tech keeps padding his labor. He tried to say it was two hours to take a composting toilet out ( it's not hooked up, you just lift it out) and two hours to install the new one which all the plumbing is there, 30 min tops for that job. I asked can't someone else do the work and was informed they only assign one tech per job that's how they are paid and I must have drawn the short straw because our tech has no clue what he's doing. I was a service writer for an auto electric shop so I'm savvy on this sort of thing. It's been one thing after another and last bill amount was over $3,500 which was to replace a stair module, replace toilet, replace wiper blades, install 2 batteries, now a converter and a gfi. Needless to say when I do go to pick it up I'm going to speak with the manager and they are going to have to make all this right. They have zero clue on what they are doing and terrible customer service and they rip you off with tons of unnecessary charges. DONT TAKE YOUR RV TO THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO BROKE. Don't trust anyone. One call to this motorhome that was advertised on the web said $13.000 1984 pace arrow H27 with a MALIBU CA in window. But Optimum RV sales man I got SWORE it WAS on HIS LOT. He even gave us directions KNOWING what he's doing. I told him $4000 down and $1000 to 1500 to pay it off. No financing our credit score not high enough. He also knew this was all the money we had and planned to drive it back to Ventura, CA and live in it. The last with Michel Martin was giving me the address and I called Dave Orr and he was nice. The no listed was a 619 area code but Dave texted & emailed me from 941 FL area code.! 619 is San Diego, CA ! Michel gave me the address to look at it: 9600 Ashville Hwy Inman, SC Optimum RV He called with 864 area code from Florida. He said he'd call me back and gave it out the door for just $4000 and going to hold it AND still expects us to go to Spartanburg/Inman, SC to pick it up. When questioned he was positive he had this RV. Pace Arrow H27 on this lot. It's over 2000 miles just one way to get there. He knew EVERYTHING and he just wanted me and my husband to buy from Optimum RVs across the entire country. Why? He knew we had only $4000 getting to him would have cost us both almost $1000 and we'd only have $3000 left because I planned on paying for it and picking it up on Dec 3. He's holding it till Nov 3rd for us ?? Why he wanted us to do this scheme is Unbelievable to me. My research didn't take long. Please somebody tell me whats up with Optimum RV. I went on their site and found an RV my wife and I were interested in. It happened to be in South Carolina and we live in Florida. I went their site and filled out the See Your Price form. A person called I think from a third party site and asked me if I was still in the market for an RV, to which I said yes. They then asked would I be financing if a purchased an RV Optimum RV. I told him I would most likely be financing. He then asked if I would let him run a credit check over the phone, but I declined. I asked for him to send me the lowest Out The Door price. He said a salesperson would send my the information I requested soon. I soon received a thing called a buyers order from a sales person. All it had was the advertised price, a column that said options ($4000), and a document fee. I replied the salesperson e-mail, stating that I had requested an Out the Door price, and gave him my zip code so that put taxes in the quote. I also asked him what the $4000 in options was. This was Friday but I got no reply. I e-mailed him again and the next included and the sale manager just in case he did not get the e-mail. I got no reply on the second e-mail. When I got home Monday from work, there was a voice mail from the sale person saying if I was interested in and RV give him a call. I did not give him a call back because he never replied to my e-mails. Playing games with customers does not sell RVs. Shame on you Optimum RV. read more

He really cared and listened to everything we needed and had concerns about. He worked extremely hard to get us a great deal that would work with our financial situation. Stay away from Optimum RV, they are crooks, have poor customer service from the sales people and are down right rude! We were negotiating on a 5th wheel that was manufactured in 2022 it was a Heartland Big Horn. We had a trade in which was a 2021 Columbus 1492. They offered us $28,000 for it and came down nothing on theirs! I told them no way, and so I countered offer, with what I wanted for mine which I might add was paid off, as usual he went off to the sales manager and when he came back they were still no where close to what I had countered with. What they didn't like is that I had done my homework and I knew what mine was worth and how much they should be able to reduce theirs. So I told him no way, this is where it gets good the salesman actually yelled at us and said I can't believe you wasted my entire morning with that he grabs the paperwork gets up and holds the door open essentially throwing us out of the office...What a way to run a busines...Stay clear of this place. read more

I would not recommend Optimum RV in Spartanburg/Inman SC. Worst experience I have had with a dealer and service. And I have purchased a lot of new RVs over the years. Purchased 12/2022 and there were a few issues found and had to fix/order part. Called back 1/4/23 for status and no one in service knew what I was talking about. Later someone called and said parts ordered. Called back several times and had to get general mrg involved. Called again on 1/13 and was told RV ready to pick up. Reviewed items to be fixed and told all repaired. Agreed to pick up 1/23. Drove 4.5hr to pick up and NONE of the items were fixed. Had to spend the night and picked up next day. Drove back and started cleaning and found same issues and some were hidden instead of fixed. Found new issues if damage to cabinet and shower leaks.rv returned after many calls. Again told everything fixed but 2 items and parts ordered but could be used. I again when over issues such as shower leak and told it was fixed. Drove 4.5 hr only to find not fixed. Met with GM and new Serv manager who came up with all parts except for a cabinet parts he was to order. Left with RV after 3hr wait. Said cabinet part ordered. Now 3/30/23. Continue to have issues with service on last part. I was told it was ordered in January. They ordered again in March. New service manager, EJ, often will not return calls and no one can get me status. Now July 6 months after purchase. Have been given wrong information often what work was done was terrible in my opinion. They tell you when you buy that it be be like family., LOL, LOL. Purchased our fifth wheel 7/2022 last year . Several things have been wrong since purchasing. Took it camping this past april and the ac went out . Took it in to be fixed early may . Called to get updates , no answer , no phone call back . My father in law went down to pick up his new camper that he had just bought and the manager said our camper was ready to be picked up , they called couple days later and said the ac wasn't even touched waiting on parts . Called again talked with different person and they said they were finishing up paperwork to be sent to warranty. Glad we didn't spent the 2 hrs to drive down for nothing . Went to the dealership to pick a couple things up from our camper since it was taking forever, walked inside , the freezer drawer had about 4 inches of water inside , glad it didn't leak into the floor , tire was completely flat. Meanwhile both managers sales and service talked to me ensured to get a phone call within a week to get an update on the status of the ac parts and give an estimate on fixing our water since they said it wasn't going to covered . Strongly encourage you to take your RV some place else for service. While the demeanor of everyone is nice and professional, they severely lack in consideration or communication. Zero follow up with anything. They will sit on your RV for however long they want. You'll get zero updates and, when you call, you'll get whatever they feel like telling you at the time you call. It's never truthful. I finally had to just go get my RV and say goodbye. They had it for over a month did didn't do any repairs that I asked for. I had a scheduled appointment too. When they handed me the keys, the house batteries were completely dead and they had to replace both of them. The exterior was a filthy mess from sitting out on their lot. I don't store my RV in this manner. I ended up taking the work to someone else. They don't seem to care if whether or not they do the work or not. I don't understand how they stay in business. Look up the BBB complaints and they are pages long. During the purchasing process, they dinged my credit 4 times which tanked my score right in front of me. I had a credit score of 825 and when they were done, it was just under 800. They charged almost 2000.00 for inspection which didn't amount to anything. The water pump failed night one, the fridge wouldn't cool, and there was water damage under the sink. One of the workers confided in me that the guy who did the inspection was fired and was probably in jail. That didn't leave me confident that anything was done never mind done right. I've washed my hands of this place. There are better dealers out there. You've been warned. read more

Harold E. Me and my wife visited Optimum RV in Inman SC on Friday to look at Fifth wheels. We had shopped at several different dealerships but for one reason or another we weren't able to make our purchase. The two biggest reasons were price and inventory. We were camping at a near by RV park and decided to visit Optimum RV. Very glad we did. Completely different experience. Our salesman Anthony ask us some questions to determine what we were looking for in our new RV. Then he went through his inventory and came up with 4 possible fits. We bought number 3 . :-) It checked off every box. Then we meet the General Manager Gabriel. He basically ask me what my monthly payment needed to be for me to purchase the RV we picked out. I told him and he got it there. That's the short answer. He gave us a very good trade in for our travel trailer. He also cut the price of his 5th wheel. When it was done, me and the wife were extremely happy that we had gone to Optimum RV. They went above and beyond to get it to where we were able to purchase our dream RV. The service dept. worked hard and got the new RV cleaned up and checked out so we took it home the next day. If other companies out there want to know how to sell RV's, they should visit Optimum. My wife and I bought a 2018 used travel trailer from them and everything started out fine, the sales person and staff were very friendly. Once we agreed on a price and that one of the windows would be resealed we went to financing. This is where everything started going downhill, it literally took hours for financing to get anything done to the point where nothing got really done that day not sure if it was because of optimum or the banks but we literally waited longer than what it takes to buy a car. Once financing happened we set a day and time to do the walk through and pickup our travel trailer on a Wednesday at 9am. Well Wednesday came around we showed up at the agreed upon time and they weren't ready for us for another hour and a half. During the walkthrough there was no checklist of an inspection that they said they did, they didn't reseal the window as promised and agreed upon. The walk through was as if a 12 year old did it and rushed through it. I brought the window to their attention and the had to reseal it. So we left and came back at 1pm or so and it was finally ready for pickup. So far I wasn't impressed...I finally got it home. Once home I was going through making sure I knew how to connect everything I opened up the grey and black water tank to ensure I knew how to hook up my hoses. I unscrewed the lid and someone else's feces went all over me hand and arms. These people didn't even bother to fully empty and close the tanks!!! I took back a bucket of crap to them and they said they would mail me a hundred dollar check 2 weeks ago which I'm still waiting on because they forgot. For human crap getting all over me I'd expect more but I was running late for work so I didn't argue. I'll never go back there again for anything!!! read more

Pulled in with our RV in tow that we have been thinking about trading. There was no parking available once you pulled in. There were gates that could have been opened to make it easy to turn around, but were too inconsiderate to open them due to "insurance." Fortunately, my husband can back our fifth wheel around obstacles which was the only option to exit the dealership. Needless to say, we did not stay to look at the models we were interested in with a dealership that did Not make a good first impression with customer service. read more
