OptimumRV - Spartanburg - Water leaks in the "Dry Storage "

I bought a brand-new RV six months ago and finally got the chance to use it this past weekend--only…read moreto find the on-demand hot water heater leaking as fast as water was going into it. Completely unusable right out of the gate. Here's the real problem: Optimum RV is all smiles when they're taking your money, but once you drive off the lot, good luck getting any real help. First, I was told it was under warranty. Then I got dumped into a voicemail that promised a callback in 24 hours--never happened. Called again, suddenly it's "not covered," and I should pay out of pocket. When I asked how a brand-new RV with a first-use failure isn't under warranty, they hung up on me. Hung up. That tells you everything you need to know. Called a third time, got someone in sales who took my info and promised a manager would call me back. Still nothing. So here's the point: this place is great at selling you something, but terrible at standing behind it. If something breaks--and apparently it will--you're on your own. Save yourself the frustration and your hard-earned money.

once I bought my Rv it took almost two weeks to pick up for them to go through the vehicle, when I…read moregot there the generator wasn't working, the radio fades plate wasn't working lights were out, and we miss the main switch wasn't working. After making it home I had to take it to be repaired and it took over a month to get it repaired and additional 600 after the warranty work

My husband and I recently visited this dealership with our grown son who, along with his wife, had…read morealready selected a used RV and secured financing. They simply wanted a second opinion--my husband has experience in this area and we both understand the importance of getting a major purchase like this independently inspected. Initially, we asked a sales representative about inspections. He quickly pitched us their own inspection... for an additional $2000. No details, no transparency--just an upsell. When we declined, he told us we could bring in our own inspector, which seemed fair. We left the dealership planning to do just that--and to move forward with the purchase after the inspection. Then, just a couple of hours later, the same sales rep called my son and abruptly reversed course. He told him, in no uncertain terms, that absolutely no outside inspection would be allowed. He claimed it was against dealership policy and there would be no exceptions. That was a huge red flag. Why deny a reasonable, independent inspection on a used RV--especially one being sold as-is? It left us feeling like there was something to hide. Buying an RV is a significant investment, and this lack of transparency and sudden change in policy completely eroded our trust. Unbeknownst to the dealership, my Husband and I are also interested in buying a new RV but will now look elsewhere. Needless to say, they did not move forward with the purchase. If you're considering buying here, I'd urge you to think twice and ask plenty of questions--especially before signing anything. A reputable dealership should have nothing to hide.

Excellent choice for storage! Tim is a great landlord - very accessible, reasonable, & friendly…read more His rates are also reasonable. The location itself is very clean, well-lit, and organized. Highly recommend Hwy 101 Self Storage for anyone in the Greer/Taylors/Inman area!

Mixed thoughts about the service here…read more The people are friendly but this place has some quirks. I have dropped off a Uhaul here and had a propane tank filled. Both times it was not good service. The Uhaul: when i dropped it off they had an issue with the computer system. I can understand this, might be slightly my fault choosing my own place to drop it off at. But after the transaction was done I was told by the lady to pull the trailer close to the other ones and leave it lay there. I had to unhook the thing myself after trying to carefully find a spot to put it. Not very Uhaul like... let alone a big risk management issue. If i would have hurt myself I do believe a lawyer would have loved to take my case. Propane Tank: The price is good, and this is why I will be back. But it took me several attempts to get it filled. The first time I stopped in was about 1pm during the week. The Open sign was lit and I pull by the propane refill station. As I walked to the front door there was a sign saying they would be back at 3pm. So I left ,quite confused, but I had other stuff to do. I returned at 3 pm to find the same issue. If you can not be open during your NORMAL business hours, why should I do business with you. You could at least turn the light off so I did not have to waste my time... The third attempt at filling the tank was successful.

Renters Beware! Don't fall for all the so called good reviews. Bait and Switch! 1. Wife showed up…read moreto the RV with the Bed Sheets all waded up in a ball and covered in Pubic and Body hair. We thought no big deal we bring our own sheets anyway. 2. Day 1 of rental generator runs for 3 hours and turns itself off and won't restart. No big deal we thought it was time to turn off anyway camp rules. Day 2 generator runs 2 turns itself off again. Call James Shuford. He tells me he knows it overheats and I can't run it during the heat of the day. Camp Ground only allows for generator to be used in the afternoon during the heat of day. He laughs at me. He made no effort to help me with it. I was only 1 hour away from him and he offered no assistance. 3. The RV when I reserved it had a washer and dryer listed. We packed accordingly and only took 2 days worth of clothes. Now most people don't plan on washing clothes while camping but we are a family of 6 traveling from S Florida to NC. So yes we planned on using the washer. When I asked them about washer and dryer they once again laughed and said oh we made a mistake on the listing. They right away while we were camping went and deleted the washer and dryer from the add. Here is where it gets bad! Outdoorsy has allowed the owner to lie about the entire issue. They have done nothing but tell me what I should have done. When you go on your only family vacation of the year you don't want to have to deal with. Here's the final issue. When I arrived in camp after driving a hour through the switchback roads of NC there were 2 plastic window latches laying on the floor. You could see where they had tried to use super glue to hold them on. But now he is saying my kids broke then. He even told Outdoorsy "I told him my kids broke them" He elected to deduct $130 from my deposit. I had 4 hours a day to use generator and had it for 5 days only got 6 hours total out of it. He made no effort to reimburse me for generator use. When I questioned it he came up with a story that the windows latches Costed him much more and the difference was his concession for the generator. All he has done is lie about to Outdoorsy and denied it all. Funny things is I recorded the pick up and drop off and took good pictures. Next stop Rip Off Report and you can see the videos I post all over Outdoorsy social media sites. Outdoorsy May seem all nice and all but don't you want to rent from a company that supports good business practices rather than just take the RV owners side? It all was so good until something went wrong then no one wants to be held accountable. Even after the bad trip my wife still cleaned and disinfectant the entire RV because thats what we do. When we stay at hotel we always strip the bed and put all towels and bedsheets in a nice pile to help the cleaning people out.
