We are so glad that the positive reviews we saw guided us to Immediate Care Arizona. This is the way medicine ideally should be practiced: a compassionate and competent friendly staff who attend to your needs quickly, thoroughly. We were able to be seen immediately after having had called, a thorough intake was taken, and Dr. Skinner addressed all issues, clearly explaining what was happening and what would be done to begin remedying out symptoms (Covid for both my husband and myself as well as pneumonia for me). He instilled confidence and trust with his knowledge and ability to start treatments (nebulizer, shot, gargle treatment that simply ended a searing sore throat), explained the medications we would be using, and, not a small thing, provided said medications before leaving the office. Truly - cannot recommend Dr. Skinner and staff too highly!

Yesterday, the doctor who saw me forgot to include my work restrictions on the note I needed to submit to my employer. Because of that mistake, my employer expected me to perform duties I physically could not do. When I called Concentra to explain, the receptionist told me I had to return in person--another 45-minute drive each way despite my pain. When I arrived, they placed me in a room and left me there for over an hour. Only when I complained did the doctor finally come in. She typed a corrected note in about 3-5 minutes and handed it to me. No exam, no questions--she had just seen me less than 18 hours earlier. This is just one example of poor treatment. They did not provide a cane or crutches, so I had to buy my own. They advised me to purchase cooling pads instead of supplying basic medical support. Physical therapy felt like a checklist--they follow a script instead of adjusting to the actual injury. And they delay MRIs as long as possible, wasting weeks of time and the employer's money before taking injuries seriously. Employers should really reconsider partnering with Concentra. The level of inconvenience, inefficiency, and lack of patient care is unacceptable. My experience felt like a waste of time, money, and energy--at the expense of my health.

Only because many people will only write a review because they had a bad experience. I get that. But it doesn't speak for the hundreds and thousands of satisfied customers that have had positive experiences. So here's one of them. And it is also a new review since the last one was about a year ago. I had a really good experience. First of all, the waiting room is large. It is not a small urgent care where you are cramped in with all the other sickies. This, and I'm assuming all Banner Urgent Cares, have appointments and video conferencing. I make that call based on their app. I set up an appointment and was seen within 5 minutes of that appointment time. When I came, there was only a couple of guys there and they were having a conversation. I think they probably were waiting on a patient. There was a woman and her children that eventually came in, too. So it was not busy. The Nurse Practitioner's name was Debbie and she was cheerful. I liked that. I came in to make sure this cold wasn't turning into a sinus infection. She explained the symptoms of a sinus infection and I could immediately tell I wasn't experiencing one. She also wanted to make sure that I didn't want antibiotics as there was nothing that could be done for a virus. She was pleasant, upbeat, and a good communicator. She also didn't charge me for the visit since there was really nothing that she could do. Bonus! Not sure how an urgent care could get five stars. If I think of a reason, maybe I'll come back and change it to five stars. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. I went in because a cyst had ruptured behind my knee and I was unable to put weight on that leg. Various tests were done. Then, while we waited for reports, I passed out. We were seated in a hallway, and my husband tried to revive me. He couldn't leave me, for fear I would fall out of my chair. Thankfully, a nurse soon came up; she tried to revive me, and when I did not respond, she moved quickly to get me into a room. No heart attack, but an artery had flattened, and my BP was extremely low. Dr. Joshua Paree was there, and my husband was very impressed with him. He moved quickly, knew exactly what he needed to do and did it. I began to come around while they were working to stabilize me. I received the excellent care I have come to associate with TMC, and I am very grateful. So many nurses, but I remember names of only two: Jenny and Miguel. But all of them were so efficient and so kind.

TMC's customer service has been incredibly frustrating. I tried to schedule my second shingles…read morevaccine, only to discover that it can't be done through the MyChart app. The app instructs you to call, but the phone number listed there is incorrect, so we had to search online for the correct number. When we finally called, the recording said they were short-staffed and suggested sending a message through MyChart instead. We chose to stay on the line (because how do you schedule an appointment in an email), and after one full hour, we still hadn't moved up in the queue. Scheduling a simple vaccine shouldn't be this difficult. It's disappointing that accessing basic healthcare services requires this much time and effort. This experience has left me questioning the level of customer service and health care TMC provides.
