I used this place once and had a wonderful experience with Kat. The second time, however, was horrible. I tried booking on Labor Day (because the website indicated that they were available for appointments) and I received a call from the owner. She expressed that she was very irritated that I would try to schedule on Labor Day, and even though I told he it was fine that we not do it, she told me "well I've come in from the pool now so I might as well do it." That was my first unprofessional moment of the experience. Next, she was 15 minutes late (I've noticed from other reviews that seems to be a pattern). She also charged more than what was advertised on the website (I've noticed other reviews where people experienced the same) and gave my daughter the wrong tan (the overnight instead of the quick tan). But the most disturbing thing is that when my daughter got out of the salon she literally burst into tears. She said the owner got mad at her after hearing that she usually goes to a competitor. She told my daughter "if I had known that you go to Spray Studio, I wouldn't have come in to do this today." I cannot imagine what kind of grown woman would be so horrible to a teenage girl. There really is no excuse for this conduct. If you don't want to accept appointments on a certain day - indicate as such on your website. Do not call a prospective client and complain to them for asking for the service that you have put yourself out as providing. And certainly do not shame anyone for choosing to try a new company. The girls who work at Spray Studio are professional and lovely and I would encourage anyone looking for a spray tan in Atlanta to skip Opulence and go there. read more

My soon to be sister-in-law had broken her leg not that long ago and wanted the scars to be covered up. She not only has her scars covered up but she has this amazing tan which looks like she just rolled off the beaches of the West Indies! Hands down the best spray tan I've ever gotten from top to bottom. Color is the most natural spray tan I've seen - I kept forgetting it was fake! The perfect brown/red coloring. Even my boyfriend who sometimes makes fun of my tans complimented me on how natural it was which has NEVER happened. Very long lasting - most spray tans don't look good past day 5 for me because I workout/shower a lot but today is day 7 and it still looks great! Service is outstanding - easy to book and very professional while in your home. The only downside is the price - $100 after tip and taxes (plus there's an extra $10 fee if you live in Buckhead) - making it the most expensive spray tan I've ever had. I thought my $60 one every week was already indulgent! I would see them every week if it weren't for the price so I'll have to keep them for special occasions but I'm obsessed. read more

My bridesmaids and I used Opulence on the Thursday before my Saturday wedding. I was so happy with the result, and would recommend to any bride or person! The staff was professional, clean, thorough and nice to work with. No streaks, not gaps, nothing but a clean and crisp glow. The first evening it got quite dark (as they tell you), but no fear, it looked perfect for the rehearsal and wedding. I have been coming to Maggie from the very beginning when she was just a mobile service. She has always been excellent at what she does. She is efficient, timely, professional, and organized. I battled with whether or not I was going to write a review because I don't want to ruin anyone's reputation but I would absolutely hate for someone to go through what I went through with this company, so 6 months after my experience I finally decided to share. I booked Opulence for my pre-wedding spray tan and it was the WORST experience of my life. First, Maggie was 30 minutes late so I called her to see where she was and she proceeds to YELL at me over the phone "you told me you were in Atlanta, this apartment is so far and it's in the ghetto... now I'm going to have to RUSH so I can make it to my next appointment on time" to which I said "woah, you have had this address for 2 months-- you should have known how far it was and this spray tan is for my WEDDING so if your going to be rushing then we don't need to go through with it." She told me that she would CHARGE ME ANYWAY even if I didn't get the spray tan (you have to give her your credit card info to reserve the session) so I told her to come. When she arrived she wasn't done with the verbal attack-- in the parking lot of the apartment complex she was YELLING and CURSING at me again. We were at my cousins apartment in Decatur and regardless the status of her apartment complex, she totally belittled and insulted my cousin by saying her home was "in the hood". I'm a doctor and the daughter of a southern baptist preacher, I have never felt so disrespected in my life. AND THE SPRAY TAN WASN'T EVEN GOOD! I was so thankful and impressed with how helpful Maggie was, even though I wasn't an existing client, it was the night before, it was the weekend, and Thanksgiving weekend at that! Taniesha is who sprayed me. She was there right on time and was very efficient while also being thorough. She made sure everything looked great and even had me check to make sure I didn't want her to change anything. She gave great instructions for after care as well. Taniesha was SO nice and I loved meeting her! She was easy to talk to and made it a lot less awkward standing in front of a stranger naked! Ha! But, the best part is my tan looked AWESOME! I had my first ever spray tan before the holidays when my friend hosted a "spray tan party". I had no idea what to expect or how we'd be getting sprayed in her living room. Maggie brought an entire salon in one little pop-up and she gave us all a glow one by one. Her attention to detail is impeccable and you can tell that she wants to make you look and feel your best.
