You are greeted by friendly staff as you entered Reservation is a must and the tasting is pretty much self explanatory. The wine and the brand speak for itself - elegant rich dark fruits and berries. We tried 3 tastings and each level elevates to the next smoothness. Worth the fine experience

Beautiful grounds, solid wine, and wonderful service. I'm by no means an expert in wine, this was like my 4th winery I've ever been to lol. But the service was top tier, and our wine educator was extremely knowledgeable. I loved learning about the winery history and also sampling the different types of wine. The small bites served with the wine were tasty! Felt very fancy and like fine dining. We did a tasting upwards of I want to say ~$200ish dollars. Because of the attention to detail, the sampling, and the atmosphere, I'd say Opus was worth the money as a beautiful experience!

Brandon and Max were great. Brandon gave us a tour inside and the barrels for 2025. Very clean, very nice staff all around. Opus One 2019, 2022 are both great wines.

What a beautiful place. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the entire experience feels elevated and thoughtfully done. This was a true wine tasting experience. Everything was beautifully orchestrated, from the pairings to the pacing. The wines were absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the savory bites. We were hosted by Therese Keating, who greeted us with such great energy and a warm, welcoming demeanor. She immediately made us feel at home and truly enhanced the experience. With her guidance we were able to purchase some of our very favorite vintages. The tour was very detailed and gave a great look into the cellar and winemaking process. And the views... absolutely breathtaking. Overall, such a memorable experience and easily a must visit in Napa. Highly recommend.

Recently toured this operation prior to our sampling. Their operation is so precise and methodical. Some of their tools are very unique and if I remember correctly, they are the only two vineyards in Napa that have such tools to process. Staff, Cory, is knowledgeable and provided an in-depth overview on the history, wine, and vintage aging process. Inside is beautiful decor with a brutalist flare, almost like a James Bond evil villain lair which is pretty cool. Love the barrel room. Picture doesn't do its justice. You'll need to tour and see for yourself. Wine is amazing. Love the 2012 vintage of Opus One. Can't wait to visit this vineyard again.

What an amazing experience!! Caleb, our guide was such a friendly presence with so much knowledge and experience in the wine industry! Our group couldn't stop talking about how wonderful he was, how delicious each wine we tasted along with the food pairing that were presented. We can't wait to come back! Side not the front entrance was not open as they are having work done.

Came here August 2025 for my birthday. There was construction going on and unfortunately all the olive trees that made an impressive entrance pathway had been cleared out. Service was excellent. We were promptly checked in with a glass of champagne to welcome us. We were brought up to the beautifully decorated, ornate tasting area with an indoor and outdoor area. We chose to be indoors because of the very warm weather. We did the wine and small plates pairing. There was a menu tastefully printed with descriptions of all the fresh ingredients. The food was truly art. We were given a poetry hand out that was biodegradable with wildflower seeds embedded to plant later in the spring. How special! Looking forward to visiting again!

From the outside, the property is underwhelming and looks like a Costco warehouse. To be fair, construction on the front entrance was still underway when we visited. The interior is designed to feel like a luxury hotel. It's clean, uncluttered, and filled with high quality materials. The tour was lovely and ended with a tasting. While Opus One is not one of our favorites, it's a nice experience once. As any wine lover knows, it's a very personal experience and taste. What one loves, another doesn't.

Caleb, I will see you soon.. I've been working out. I was attempting to do 40 awesome things/bucket list things before 40 in the last year of my 30s and going wine tasting in Napa was one of them.. so I just knew that if i was going to do it for the first time, I would have to do it with my all time favorite wine ever.. Opus One. They sure know how to welcome you in. The place gives off a very elegant, majestic type of vibe to it. Huge walls, none of those cheesy souvenirs or random decor. The place is quiet, peaceful and allows you to just savor the wine, I get goosebumps just thinking about it. Sure it's costly but you are getting to taste some of the most delicious wines ever. Our host Caleb was superb. He had a great sense of humor while also being professional. He was informative and also allowed us to have our fun. If you have non drinkers, which is totally fine! they will still have to pay a small fee to be able to join the group. But don't worry, you will get some snacks (their cookie/biscuits were DELICIOUS!) as well as some tea. We had the 2010, 2014 and 2017 tasting as well as Overture. I had hoped that I would be able to purchase a full glass/pour of my favorite after the tasting but unfortunately that was not the case which is why I ended up deducting a star.

I cannot talk about how stunning this winery is!!! We had the best sommelier as well, he was so knowledgeable. The wine was so delicious, which we expected especially for the price. Very pricey option but completely worth every single penny. The front was under construction but regardless, coming through from the back with the complimentary champagne was still a nice experience.

    Will S.

I hate to say...living off of reputation....The place is under construction which takes away from the elegance ( I was there years ago) The tasting is limited to 3 wines 2019,2021, 2021 overturn. Good wines but the place gets busy and you are on your own for the most part....no real food for a tasting..bread sticks...Really?

The wine was absolutely fantastic! My wine educator, Mark, was very knowledgeable and friendly. While I was there, the property was under construction and the landscaping was being done. I did feel that the price of admission should've been adjusted to reflect the atmosphere, but the wine was worth it.

    Danielle K.

Expensive yet iconic wine tasting in Napa Valley Honestly, my expectations weren't high from reading poor reviews about service and overall experience. But Opus One is a bucket list winery and a one-and-done visit, but I had a memorable time there during the holidays. The walk around tour was short but our host let us take our time to take photos. The property is beautiful and the wines are quality. The tasting includes 3 pours but we were given a couple extra tastes!
