I received an implant today done by Dr Engel and had a fantastic experience! Every single staff member from the receptionist to the nurses that assisted with the procedure, to Dr Engel--all phenomenal! It had been years since there was a tooth where the implant was going so there was concern of whether there was enough bone to drill into...but Dr Engel was confident he could get it done. What a horrible experience! My 16 year old son has PTSD from a surgery 6 years ago and Dr. Pfeifle wouldn't even consider letting a parent hold the hand of a minor child just for the IV insertion. An IV insertion is not a sterile procedure, it could have easily been done in private with a parent and they could have taken him for surgery. They wouldn't even consider it. Shame on Dr. Pfeifle for being so unconcerned with his minor patient's mental health!! read more

I had a wisdom tooth extracted. It was small, partially through and impacted. The removal went fine, but I was very disappointed in their sedation options. They said I could have Novocain or General Anesthesia; no other options. So I went with Novocain only. Yikes! It would have been so less horrible if I could have some nitric oxide or other pills to make me less aware of it. read more

Dr. Pfeifle is the best Dentist I have ever been to! My extraction was completely PAINLESS! My anxiety was high, but they took their time, made me comfy...a little local and gas and it was all over in minutes! Dr. Pfeifle should change his name to Doc Painless! If you need work done, by all means, try him 1st. You will NOT be disappointed! Too bad 5 stars all I can give on here, but I think I'll throw in a few ATTABOYS, a couple of too! I had my wisdom teeth taken out today actually. The staff, starting with my nurse Kat (or Cat, sorry) was excellent. She made me feel at ease with some nice jokes. I can't remember everyone else who was there with me, but they are all amazing. After surgery, I went home and was experiencing excessive bleeding. I quickly went back up there and they fixed me up right away. Dr. Engel, who performed the extractions, actually was out for the day and had return. The staff stayed past closing to get me taken care of. Top notch service, I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Clinic office staff was professional and explained business matters thoroughly. Clinic technician staff explained what they were doing and were prompt in returning when leaving the room. Oral surgeon took whatever time was required to explain various options and allowed patient to express the reasons for the choices made. Oral surgeon was skilled with technique which resulted in minimal time taken and pain experienced. Office presents an open and airy atmosphere encouraging calmness. Cost was not as exceptionally high as I had expected and dental insurance was readily accepted. read more

Just left their office from getting 4 extractions and I was VERY nervous at first but the staff was very understanding and calmly reassured me! Billing was confusing at first but the front desk lady and I was very understanding with each other and she explained that they (like most offices) don't bill same day and I think that might confuse some but once they got word back from my insurance (which took a month which wasn't ideal) and I knew what I was expected to pay everything went exactly as planned, in closing I just was like to thank the staff and Dr who worked with me step by step ! Came in for a consultation and was shifted from one set of folks to the next to discuss a potential procedure. I couldn't understand how they could afford so many separate staff - until I saw the cost of the procedure I was thinking of having done! I decided not to have it there, and promptly paid the bill for my consult. They then tried to charge me for an expensive X-ray that THEY insisted I do 'because the doctor only likes these' even though I had just had my own X-rays sent over. I never consented to paying $150 for an extra X-ray that I didn't need. I spoke with their office and explained this clearly, but they keep hounding me to pay for this. As others have said: BEWARE. This office clearly has a pattern of doing things without patient authorization and other billing issues. My advice is to go elsewhere. read more

Follow up to my previous review. The call back that I got from the Omaha - Oral Surgery Associates wasn't great. I was told the reason the surgeon didn't stop during the procedure, even though he was aware that I was awake and could feel the extraction, was because that I was experiencing shallow breathing and more anesthesia would have been dangerous. Ok fine, I would have left it at that if I hadn't received two other stories of what happened. The surgeon told my dentist that I would stop breathing, during the procedure. My dentist was also told by the surgeon that he stopped mid surgery, went out to the waiting room and told my husband what was happening and asked my husband if he wanted them to continue the surgery. The surgeon said that my husband said to continue. NO ONE CAME OUT TO TALK TO MY HUSBAND. HE WOULD HAVE SAID TO STOP THE SURGERY! The next story I got was a letter that the oral surgeon sent to my dentist stating that I tolerated the surgery well and that there were no complications. This letter was also signed by a surgeon that is no longer with the company! I have a copy of this letter in my possession. Now I ask, if I was having breathing issues, wouldn't this be a complication? Now I have received another bill for $400.00 for anesthesia that I supposedly could handle? I am trying to figure out what is the truth. I have yet to be contacted about my experience from the surgeon, even though the letter states " I will follow her as necessary to assure that she heals satisfactory." read more

Absolutely a positive and professional experience. Dr. Stephen Coffey is amazing, and the staff went above and beyond all expectations. While oral surgery is not something I would choose over a vacation in the Bahamas, Dr. Coffey and his staff make it as pleasant and easy as possible, and for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this office and have already referred a family member to them. read more

While Dr. Coffee does great work, the office staff is lacking. Plan on being quoted one price after insurance pre-work submitted and then another after work is done. Twice the quotes were different resulting in us owing $800+ more. The office is not willing to work with you when they forget to include items in the pre-work to insurance. read more

Dr. Coffey extracted my wisdom teeth about 6 months ago and it was as good an experience as it can be. He was very friendly and thorough in explaining the procedure and my specific situation to me. do not use dr. engle!!!! my 83 mother- in -law went to him to have quite a few teeth pulled recently and had a terrible experience. he used novocaine without numbing her mouth first, he did not listen when she was telling him how bad she hurt when he was pulling her teeth. she has a large bruise on the side of her face because he was so inept. not only was he inept, he was about as cold as the january snow. 5 thumbs down!!!!! read more

Dr.Cofee was kind and explained everything completely . However his scheduling nurse is rude and unwilling to work or take payments for people who don't have dental insurance and pretty much sent us on our way with out making and appointment . It's all about money not medical care. read more
