My experience with this office was very disappointing…read more The original bone graft failed, but when I contacted the office early on to report that the graft material appeared to be dissolving and that significant amounts of grit were coming out, I was repeatedly told that this was normal and that nothing was wrong. It later became clear that the graft had not been successful. In addition, the need for a sinus lift was missed during the initial treatment planning. After my dentist spoke with the office, I was told they would review the CT scan my dentist provided and that I would not need to pay for another CT scan. However, when I later called to schedule a consultation, I was told multiple times that Dr. Wewel required a new consultation and another CT scan, despite the previous assurances. This comes at a cost of over $500. ($400 of which I already paid the dentist and Dr Wewel looked at that CT and said he could use it.) Communication was also frustrating. I left messages on multiple occasions and did not receive a return call. When I finally spoke with a treatment coordinator, I was again told that I would need to start the process over. I was also uncomfortable with the repeated pressure to purchase anesthesia for a relatively simple tooth extraction. Even after declining it several times, it continued to be included in the treatment plan, with the explanation that it could simply be refunded later if unused. I understand that complications can occur in dental treatment. What concerns me is the lack of accountability, inconsistent communication, and the feeling that additional charges were prioritized over addressing the issues with my original treatment. I expected more transparency and patient-centered care throughout the process.

Then after everything was set up and surgery was complete and I completed my payment plan I got a notice there was more to pay. I tried several times to reach someone in the office and no one answered. I finally went up in person and the office person was clueless. I asked for a Supervisor and she told me that it was due to additional things not covered by insurance. I asked that was because they checked before I went in. I was told they do not check for insurance coverage before you have surgery unless you request it!I stated that wasn't true that last time they did and she denied that. I offered to settle for half and was denied and she was nasty and shooed me away from the office. When i tried to write a social media review I found they delete negative ones. Beware of them because now I am being sued by them over a $400 mistake they made

He is absolutely amazing!!!!!  His knowledge, current technology and most of all his compassion for his patients is something that I can't even find words to describe.  I have had a lot of dental work done so I know the good from the bad I have 100% trust in Dr Shnayder and his amazing staff.   The office is absolutely gorgeous!!! The location is easy to find and easy to access. The front desk gals are so down to earth and make you feel at ease the minute you walk in the door. I can not say enough about Amy the surgical assistant.  She takes you back to the procedure room and makes you completely forget that you are there for surgery. Fought with insurance and eventually got them to pay all of their share and even most of mine. I had a refund due of $121.50. Not only did the practice not notify me for 2 months, they tried to tell me I owed them an additional $121.50. Finally got them and insurance on the line and got them to refund to my original credit card used. Next day Omaha Oral Surgery calls me and says they didn't process the refund and "the check's in the mail and maybe you'll get it in about 15 days". Horrible way to do business. Cash flow issues? (Also told me I couldn't pick up the check)

I will continue to trust her whenever I need help with my teeth. All ladies on staff, which is very comforting to me. The place is always very clean. People of all ages can receive treatment here. At one point I had a filling done and a few days later ended up having the tooth with the filling taken out at the same time as my extremely troublesome wisdom teeth which had to happen at an oral surgeon who doctor Schneider recommended, and the next time I went to back to the dentist she had put a credit for the amount I had paid for that filling since the tooth came out shortly afterwards. It wasn't her fault that my wisdom teeth did such damage. I also know that all members of the staff here are treated very well, most of them have been working together a long time, which is so nice to see! A place with low turnover is always a green flag!
