Enjoyed a family July birthday celebration dinner and it did not disappoint yet again. Our family that we brought along hadn't tried Orale yet but they really loved all the dishes we tried and definitely want to come back... Especially our 97yo grandma who chatted with the servers. Service was excellent (thank you Donna!) and the food was even better. We ordered appetizers of cheese quesadilla and shrimp queso fundido (buttery garlicky cheesy - perfection) and for dessert, the tres leches flight and flan (not overly sweet and both perfectly baked). We tried the mixed fajitas (shrimp, steak and chicken) along with the fla-kitos tacos and pescado tacos - which were on special for Wed: rice and beans at NO upcharge. Everything was delicious. The vibe is so great here and they sang happy birthday to all of us with a fun flashing light show!! It was great haha... HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone I know

    Flight of salsas

Went here Friday night. Amazing food and service. The decor was cute too. Very inviting. We got a flight of Salsas to try and each one was amazing and different. My personal favorite was the avocado salsa. My husband loved the smoky one. Orson loved the tomatillo one. For mains I had the Quesabirria tacos. The beef was delicious and piping hot. The consomme was tasty too. My husband had Al Pastor tacos which he loved and it came with the smoky salsa. Our son had the Asada tacos. Great portion of beef and loved them. Our server was the best (and I'm sorry I didn't get your name). He was super friendly and answered our questions. We will definitely be back.

Delicious, fresh homemade food with incredibly friendly service. Don't miss out on this treasure. The humble exterior and small outdoor "patio" shouldn't deter you from entering. You're not here for the atmosphere, you're here for the food! Bonus, Nellie and the rest of the team serve up a spectacular menu from top to bottom. The complimentary creamy bean dip topped with cotija and homemade chips were great. Next, as an appetizer, we tried the salsa flight which came with five salsas from mild to extremely hot. My favorite was the mild tomatillo, and the second one was the chipotle salsa. My husband tried the extremely hot pepper salsa and said it was very hot (and he likes spicy). The salsa sampler did not disappoint and the homemade chips again were so tasty. For dinner we both had tacos. I had the tacos, Al Pastor, which were made exactly the way I feel they should be made with onion, cilantro and diced pineapple on top. They had a great smoky flavor, not greasy perfect amount of sauce on them and corn tortilla, which was delicious. My husband had the Quesabirria tacos, which were the perfect amount of meat and cheese and fried to perfection with a delicious beef consume that wasn't greasy had such a nice beef flavor! It left such an impression on both of us. We also enjoyed a side order of elote that we knew was homemade because it wasn't just single kernels, you could tell it was cut right off the cob. For dessert, I tried the Tres Leche sampler which came with a small (which were actually bigger than a sample) piece of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry Tres Leche. Nellie told us they were made in house and they were milky like they should be. I thought the watermelon margaritas could've used a bit more tequila. However, the watermelon flavor was so fresh yummy for a summer evening. Don't miss out! This place is a gem and the food is incredible! No wonder others have given it such high marks.

Tried the tilapia tonight, I cleaned my plate!

Went to Orale to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Shortly after sitting down, we were at once served their famous bean dip. We actually enjoyed this compared to the traditional salsa and chips. We ordered the salsa trio and the ceviche for appetizers. Both were nicely plated and incredibly delicious. The margaritas were soooo good! All their margaritas are handmade. My husband got the Carne Asada Tampiquena, served with handmade tortillas, and I ordered the Chile Relleno. The food was perfectly prepared, and the Carne Asada was cooked to temperature. Few Mexican restaurants can cook a medium-rare just how you ask it. Great atmosphere and fantastic service. Will definitely come again.

I never thought I'd have chips leftover...

A one star increase as the experience was now slightly less dry. I went back a few Tuesdays later & the happy hour menu said $6 for the salsa flight but they charged me $8 alongside my 4 for 10 taco deal. Although it was delicious; & the small size stainless steel provided spoon was essential for tasting multiple flavors one after another, (he was going to bus that utensil away, & I said no, I need that); I don't like it when prices are not honored. Despite that, they also charged me extra for the requested onion/cilantro lettuce on the side. First of all, condiments like sauce are not complimentary so I agree to pay the surcharge, then you want to assess fees for pure satisfaction on the raw veg with tacos...alright fine, I left a $2 bill & not more than that. Come on, I just want the full deal at $16. Maybe next time I take it to go & cut all my veg on my own at home; I wonder if the chips & beans would be extra, it might be worth going back to find out. Then, likely to stick around, it might be fun listening to the man & lady go on & on about their food, they are so proud of their technique... with the bored young lad standing guard up front, anyway, these folks seem to love what they do & I feel like I can bring others in future visits.

We recently had the pleasure of dining here for the first time, and it was a truly exceptional experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was top-notch, and the food was fantastic. Well-deserved 5 stars.

    Queso fundido

We decided to try Orale after my boyfriend found it when searching up local restaurants. He was impressed with all of the positive reviews and wanted to see if they rang true. The restaurant is in a small strip. It is an unassuming brick building on the corner with a small parking lot, but that exterior is a complete juxtaposition to the inside. The inside of the restaurant is sleek in blacks and greys. The hostess seated us as soon as we walked in. We had made a reservation, but the restaurant was almost empty when we got there - 6 on a Saturday. (It was filling up by the time we left around 8) As soon as we sat down we were brought glasses of water. Shortly after that we were brought a basket of fresh tortilla chips and house-made refried beans. Our server was Donna. She was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. We ordered queso fundido with chorizo as an appetizer. It was delicious. I started with a cucumber margarita that was AMAZING. That was followed by more drinks - including the strawberry margarita and paloma. All of the drinks were good. I ordered quesabirria tacos dinner. The meat was good, but I would say the tacos were just average. The rice on the plate had a good amount of flavor - garlic with a bit of spice and heat - and was delicious. It also had a side of the house-made refried beans that were piping hot and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the chicken enchiladas in mole sauce dinner. The enchiladas were very good and the house-made mole was delicious. The dinner came with the same rice and refried beans that were delicious and piping hot. For dessert we had the strawberry tres leches cake and churros. The churros were warm and crispy on the outside but soft in the middle. It also came with a small side of ice cream. The tres leches cake was delicious and while the strawberry flavor was strong it was not coyingly sweet. Throughout the meal our water glasses were filled, empty plates were cleared and we were checked on to see how everything was and ask if we needed anything. We were very pleased with the atmosphere, the service, the food and the drinks. We already agreed we would be back again.

Given the number of reviews for its location, it appears to be a local staple for Mexican food. The menu was a good size and they had a lot of different choices of meat choices for tacos. My review today is based on the taco dinner that I ordered. I went with my standard go to selection for tacos in a dinner: Tripa dorada, Al Pastor and Asada. I can definitely say that it was all very different, in a positive way. Their tripa dorada was fried to almost a chicharron (pork rind). I've only had tripa done this way in a few other places and it's not common. The Al Pastor was different from what I've had anywhere else. The meat selection was different. The marinade was different and was more on the sweeter side.....some kind of sweet spice, I can not point it out. The carne asada was also a very different cut. It was nicely chopped. The meat was very tender and was easy on my bite as I ate. Despite all the differences that I am pointing out, the food definitely felt fresh and good quality. This is perhaps why it has as many reviews as it does, they want to be selective and not afraid to do it slightly different than everyone else. The portions were very generous. The salsas were also good. They have one green salsa and two red salsa options. One red salsa was spicier than the other. Another highlight were the Totopos (chips). They looked home made, made in house unlike a lot of places where chips may be processed. The only thing that I would critique was that my asada had a noticeable oil drip, more than I would have liked. That's the only thing I would say. The waitress was very attentive and would come around very often to check on me. I would encourage you to come check it out for yourself.
