I like the chilaquiles verdes that are just a little spicy but my vegan husband always orders the ENORMOUS machete --22 inches long-- with nopales. That's something you'll never find elsewhere. We were looking for a new restaurant, we have never been here and it is close to home... so here we are. The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Valentine's Day... balloons and table arrangements. There is Spanish music playing softly in the background. There is a large tv near the bar area when you first walk in. The waitress let us pick our table and gave us menus to look at along with complementary chips and salsa. The chips are sprinkled with a red powder and the salsa is a green chunky blend... so yummy! She put three different bottled sauces on our table too (see photos) the menu has lots of great options! Something for everyone... kids section too. I ordered the Pozole soup! Oh boy the soup very filling and flavorful. The temperature is just right. The meat is very tender and the beans are nice and chewy (Not hard or soft). This is the best Pozole I have ever had. I will definitely order it again. It came with a stack of crispy corn tostadas, onions, lettuce, and slices of limes! So so yummy! My husband ordered the Fajita Texana (a burrito with steak, chicken, and shrimp) he said the Fajita Texana was very good with all the vegetables and meats mixed together. It marinated well and made the flavor really stand out. We highly recommend dining here and will definitely come back again! read more

Always passed by thinking it was only a tamale place. They have some great tasting food and they have a lot of drinks. They have great servers and great music playing. Service is great. The agua de horchata is very delicious. The large queso birria is huge and good price. The flavor is so good with a great consume. The torta cubana with milanesa de res is fire. You get the option of res or chicken milanesa and they don't cheap out on the meat. The huarache con madre is so good and the meat so delicious recommend. The salsas here are great and very tasty. My favorite one is the one that comes with chips but I wished they would give you more chips. The machete papacito you can get up to three meats. All the meats here are great and flavorful. Recommend this place probably one of the better tasting near by. read more

Please read before you come in and sit down first time trying this restaurant with my family. First time and trying this restaurant and try this food here this place is infested with roaches lady came by told her what was in the napkin I had only taken a few bites from my dinner before I couldn't eat it I wouldn't mind paying for a drinks, but then the food didn't look appetizing after I had shown my family what I found only took my dinner out. The rest went on the trash when we got home. They will not take any more money from and lost me as a client. Also, the lady admitted that they do monthly pest control. What an incredible find, it's a crime more people don't know about this place. We got a mailing that had an ad and it had pictures of dishes I had never heard of or seen before. We were excited to go, the service is stellar, very friendly and helpful. They asked if we wanted an explanation of the menu and went over things for us. They have the most impressive looking drink menu I have seen, we all got Michelada's...something I have always wanted to try. They have several versions all with different toppings, kinda like a Bloody Mary bar thing. I got the La Toxica which had a huge slice of pineapple and shrimp. The warm green table salsa was killer, very unique. After much deliberation we got a few things to share first was a Machete Papacito which is kinda like a very long thin quesadilla only with masa. They have a lot of different toppings. We got half Al pastor and half Cochinita Pibil which is shredded pork in achiote. It was amazing, where has this been all my life. We also got a Huaraches Titanic the special one the Con madre that had a ton of toppings, including thin grilled beef, cactus and a bunch of other things that I cant even remember. It's a little like a big sopes, a really big one. I have never seen or eaten mexican food like this, it was a such a great experience, we have plans to take so many people we know here. Not bad. Tried this place. Got some tacos - pastor, meat and chicken. They come with cilantro and onion neither of which I like but I added some crema - not bad. The meats were reasonable. Pricing was reasonable. Husband got the enchiladas which were too spicy for him. Other than that not bad. read more

If you LOVE extra cumin and salt on your food go ahead. The "carne asada" is not really asada, meat tastes like it's boiled and has excessive cumin, not edible for me. My daughter's chorizo quesadilla was not edible, she likes to eat very salty and this was beyond salty, it was awful! The quesa tacos were delicious! That was about the only thing we liked. As far as ambience, well if the food is good I really don't care...but know that the music is extremely loud and all they play is bachata, same songs on repeat. Service was average, nothing special. They do include 18% gratuity on all their checks so beware when getting ready to pay. read more

DAAAANG! This place only has 2 reviews so far? Where are my Yelpers? Get on this! I started with a banana wrapped green sauce chicken and it was fantastic. So often I find tamales to be bland but these had lots of flavor. I moved on to the red sauce pork in banana leaf and similarly I was blown away by the flavors. Then I tried the corn husk pork mole and it was tied for best flavor with the green chicken. But then I opened the jalepeno cheese. Wooooo! Spiciest of all of them, and still none were excessively spicy. The jalepeno flavor was so insistant, I could not stop until I finished it. Unfortunately, I then exploded. I will proably stop at 3 next time. Oh and by the way, my wife gushed about the pina-strawberry. Must have been good. read more

Wow I'm so glad I gave this new place a chance even without reviews!! I mean, don't we all do a little research / investigating before trying a new place? I'm happy to be the first to send some insider info, y'all! I've been looking for some good tamales in plantain leaves.. my husband's coworker made the best but she moved out of state so we've been going through some withdrawals. We only tried the red pork ones but will definitely be trying out the green chicken next time. For the half dozen regular corn leaf tamales, we did a variety. My favorite is definitely the jalapeño cheese, but the green chicken was awesome too! The piña & strawberry tamales are good cuz they aren't too sweet but since I waited to try them the next day they kind of ended up a bit dry. I won't hold this against them since it was probably my fault lol Looking forward to ordering from them again soon! Yes they're on doordash, but honestly, I'd rather order for pickup. I dunno exactly how much of a cut 3rd party delivery services charge but I'd like to give small businesses like Los Biscochos every penny I'm spending anyway! read more

I wanted to love this place. It had 5 stars. I ordered 3 tacos. They did not have flavor. I ordered the Ceviche and it tasted weird like soil, I don't know how to explain it. I also got the shrimp and octopus. I didn't try the octopus but the shrimp wasn't cleaned. It had that poop line down the back. So needless to say I didn't eat or enjoy much of it.
