I am extremely grateful that I found this acupuncture place. In April, after experiencing severe pain from my neck to my shoulder. I had visited the ER due to the pain and I was told I had a pinched nerve and prescribed with medication and advised to try acupuncture. I have been dealing with severe pain in my ankles due to sports related injuries for couple years now and nothing has really helped me that much. Even when I was referred to physical therapy, they didn't really know how to deal with my injury except offer very basic exercises. HOWEVER, I came to Dr. Lee and he has helped me phenomenally. I'm a huge believer of acupuncture treatments. I went countless of times and I believed it really help me to conceive both of my babies. With that said, I have never felt anxious or hurt from any acupuncture treatment before until this place. First time I went here I was yelping in pain when the doctor needled me. And he didn't check my pulse until he was done needling so I thought that was weird. I still give it another visit and it was a big mistake. The doctor didn't check my pulse at all the second visit and I was yelping so loud from pain twice and I had to tell him to take two of the needles out. Acupunture treatment as a last resort for severe diabetic nerve pain.did not want more medication treatment has eased my pain tremendously but I really want people to know how Dr Lees treatment of sciatic nerve pain that started last week. I came to Dr. Lee after having 2 injections and a nerve block in my lower back to try to reduce my back pain . I was at a point that I could barely get out of bed in the morning . I called Dr. Lee in the morning and was in his office getting treated that later that day. After the treatment the next morning I was able to get out of bed with greatly reduced pain . I was skeptical that anything other than another steroid shot in my lower back would help with the pain of two herneated discs but I thought it couldn't hurt to try acupuncture. And it has helped?! Dr. Lee has been able to heal many things that an orthopedic Dr. Has suggested surgery for. Currently my rotator cuff is messed up and it is better. He is very friendly, very patient, & I now consider him a friend.  After a week of giving birth to my first child, i was diagnosed with Bells palsy, which is muscle weakness to one side of my face. I have tendinitis and plantar fasciitis, my orthopedist prescribed NSAIDs, physical therapy, and acupuncture. I was reluctant to the acupuncture at first, but when the pain remained unbearable, I decided to give it a shot. After careful research, I finally found Dr. Lee. One of the very few acupuncturists in my area that seemed to not only treat pain but seemed to frequently treat "sports injuries" and understand them, including tendinitis and plantar fasciitis. During my consultation, it was clear he was knowledgeable about my condition and what effects each had on the other. After my first session I was a little sore, but within a few hours my pain had almost diminished! For the first time in months I wasn't in an extreme amount of pain! For most of the next day, the pain was almost completely gone, with mild pain here and there. I am continuing my sessions with Dr. Lee and so far, I can say the improvement is fantastic! I feel better than I have in months! I still have pain but that should subside with further treatment and in comparison to before acupuncture (I was literally in tears many days from pain before seeing Dr. Lee) I feel great! I had rotator cuff surgery plus a few other procedures on my shoulder. Afterwards I faithfully did physical therapy at a clinic. For a long time, my progress was slow and painful. I discovered Dr. Lee and Orange Acupuncture while driving in the area, and I am sure now that I was SUPPOSED to find him. His acupuncture completely amplified my body's ability to heal itself. I had been slotted in a physical therapy category of very slow to heal and painful recovery, etc. In my frustration and pain I sought additional help. Lo and behold, due to the results of Dr. Lee's his acupuncture, the physical therapist and the orthopedic surgeon were amazed at my progress. The physical therapist did not give credence to acupuncure at first, and then with my miraculou results, he said he was going look into Dr. Lee himself. My orthopedic surgeon said to continue with the acupuncture because it was so helpful to me. He, however, initially endorsed it, and wisely so. In addition to my complete and totaly healing, I credit Dr. Lee with infusing me with hope, which had completely subsided when the physical therapy was failing and all health care providers were at a loss for how to help me heal. I woke up one morning with Bell's Palsy, which is paralysis of one side of the face. Needless to say, I was freaked out, as Bell's Palsy seems like a mini-stroke. On the positive side, it's an affliction that usually goes away over time, but when you have it, the uncertainty as to if/when the disease will heal is very disturbing. My eye and mouth drooped and I couldn't control the affected side of the face. Strangely enough (even though it's not hereditary), both my brothers had Bell's Palsy as well within the last few years. They told me to start medication and acupuncture right away. I'm not sure if the medication (prednisone and an anti-viral drug) did a whole lot, but am convinced the acupuncture had much to do with my quick recovery. The symptoms started to go away within about 3 weeks, and by 4 weeks they were about 90 percent gone. I had about 12 treatments in all, and I can now say I've had a full recovery from the Bell's Palsy. Dr. Lee knows what he is doing, and he combined traditional acupuncture with some electrical stimulation of the nerves in my face to get excellent results. The treatment was painless for the most part (although you can feel the pin pricks of the micro-thin needles when they are first inserted, and sometimes a strange tingling. Definitely nothing to be scared about. Dr. Lee explained what he was doing at all times and answered all of my questions during the treatment process. I felt at ease and comfortable. And, when the feeling and control in face started to return, I was absolutely thrilled and thankful. I highly recommend Dr. Lee to anyone experiencing Bell's Palsy or chronic pain. Acupuncture treatments can be especially effective for ailments involving the nerves and nerve endings, such as Bell's Palsy. Oh...and one more thing...the treatments weren't covered by my insurance (as I have Kaiser), but Dr. Lee gave me a discounted rate and made them very affordable. read more
