Outstanding! I was able to make an appointment online. My first visit was curbside and Dr. Jackson was amazing. She came outside and spoke to me at my vehicle and answered all my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all. She is super knowledgeable about my specific dog breed (Dalmatian). For my second visit, I got to go inside and the hospital is beautiful and so clean. I watched a staff member clean the exam room and she did an amazing job. She even wiped down the fronts of the cupboards! Dr. Murphy was very kind and took good care of my puppy. I highly recommend this facility and their doctors and team.

I have followed (AKA: stalked) Dr Lisa Macdonald all over Orange County with my current dog, as well as my former dog. She and all of the staff at this hospital are by far my favorite out of the many pet hospitals that I've been to. They are loving, kind, patient, informative, accessible, and overall just awesome with the dogs and their family members (especially us very nervous and worried ones!). I feel extremely fortunate to still be able to bring my four legged family member to Dr. Mac. and will continue to do so as long as I can!

My orange cat, Dock and calico, Sandy. They couldn't be more opposite! Thank you for your kindness in providing care for my kitties

I can't say enough good things about orange canyon Pet clinic. I have followed Dr. Jackson from a previous veterinary office and she has been the most empathetic, thorough and consistent veterinarian I have ever worked with. She literally saved my cats life, I can't think her enough. I brought him to her when he had urinary crystals. He kept blocking so we scheduled surgery and it ended up successful. It was rough time but I trusted her and she definitely is the reason I still have my best friend here with me today. Through blockages, asthma, allergy tests, chin acne. They have always make adjustments to create a safe space for him to get care. And he is not an easy cat, he does not present well in the vets office and has to be fully sedated with in office visits. All of the staff, Tracy and Dr. Murphy are so wonderful and helpful. It's so hard to have an animal that is fearful/aggressive with other humans but they have never been unkind or judgmental. They always answer all my question and respond quickly in email or text and they just really care. I'm so thankful to them.

I cannot rave enough about this clinic and the staff here. I should have written this review ages ago, my apologies! I have taken my dogs to several veterinarians over the past seven years (we have moved quite a bit) and I feel overwhelming lucky to be able to take my dogs to Orange Canyon Pet Clinic. As our pets get older, the consequences of rushed or negligent care become more serious. The care and treatment plans at orange canyon pet clinic go unmatched to any clinic or office I have ever been to. I feel safe here, I feel safe knowing my dogs are as important to them, as they are to me. The office staff is kind, compassionate, and thoughtful. The vet techs act as though your pet is their long lost love (making our dogs genuinely excited for their visits), and they do not rush you through your questions or concerns. Dr. Murphy and Dr. Jackson provide exceptional care to their patients. I believe with confidence that they treat every animal as if they are their own. Many many thanks OCPC! We just LOVE YOU!

    Sweet Blackjack. RIP little buddy.

Dr. Jackson is the BEST!!!! We followed Dr. Jackson to this location when she moved from our previous vet. She is so compassionate and knowledgeable. She did everything she could to save our little guy Blackjack but sadly he was just too sick. The last week Blackjack was alive she was out of the office but responded to our emails all week long with direction and help. She is really amazing and we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her. You are lucky to have a Vet that cares so much like she does. Thank YOU Dr. Jackson. You are amazing!

Thank you for always finding time to squeeze us in-The staff are amazing, and Dr. Jackson always provides the best practices & care for our animals

We cannot say enough great things about Orange Canyon Pet Clinic. Dr. Murphy is a true gem - kind, compassionate and honest. She is an AMAZING vet and takes her time at each visit to engage and ease any anxiety our pup might be experiencing; she truly connects with her. Our cutie has a lot of health issues (poor thing!). Dr. Murphy is always thorough, reviews everything and is careful to diagnose, and explain everything to us concerned pet parents. The Pet Clinic Vet Techs are all fabulous. Just like Dr. Murphy, they take their time to answer questions and give our pup lots and lots of kisses. Our phone calls are returned in a timely manner and the reception staff is very warm. Medicine is always ready quickly. We adore Dr. Murphy and would encourage any pet parent to make Orange Canyon Pet Clinic their vet.

First vet visit!! Dr. Jackson and the team have been super kind and welcoming!!

My 54 lb Jindo does not do well with strangers, she is all bark but no bite. I was very anxious bringing her to any dog care but Wendy was willing to do an assessment prior to their stay. This was my very first time doing any sort of dog care so I was really worried about leaving them. They did really well and my other dog had so much fun (he's a social butterfly). The main reason I chose this place vs all the other dog boarding is because they offer a "home" living experience rather than a facility/warehouse. My dogs always freely roams the house and lays on our bed, couch, wherever they please so I wanted something similar and Wendy's house provided that. I couldn't bare the thought of them being kept in a narrow sleeping quarter locked throughout the day. Thank you for taking great care of my babies! This place will definitely be my go-to for any future dog boarding.

August 11th The Day We Lost Louie…read more Our six-year-old French Bulldog, Louie, died from heatstroke just two and a half hours into what we were told would be a four-hour trial day at this daycare. We were told the purpose of the trial was simply to see whether Louie could get along with other dogs. We were never told that he would be taken to a dog park or participate in strenuous outdoor activity. We chose this daycare because the owner told us she owns a French Bulldog herself, and because the daycare had very good reviews. We trusted that our French Bulldog would be understood and properly cared for. What happened that day is something we will never forget. 9:00 AM -- We dropped Louie off for his four-hour trial. 9:30 AM -- Just 30 minutes later, Louie was taken to a dog park for outdoor activity without our knowledge. We had never been told that he would be taken off the daycare premises or to a dog park. The temperature that day ranged from approximately 77°F to 85°F. 10:18 AM -- According to the daycare, Louie vomited after the activity. We were not informed when it happened. 11:30 AM -- More than an hour after he vomited, we received a photo of his vomit. At the same time, we were communicating about payment and completing a reservation for his future stay. We were given no indication that Louie was experiencing a potentially life-threatening emergency. 11:45 AM -- We received a phone call telling us that Louie was not breathing. 12:00 PM -- Louie was pronounced dead from heatstroke. Our dog went into the daycare alive and healthy at 9:00 AM. By noon, he was dead. What is especially devastating is what we learned afterward. We were told that they had never seen Louie breathing so heavily before. We were also told that they had tried giving him water, but he was vomiting. For a French Bulldog, excessive panting, vomiting, and difficulty breathing in hot conditions can be serious warning signs of overheating and heatstroke. French Bulldogs are particularly vulnerable to heat because of their shortened airways and difficulty cooling themselves efficiently through panting. Yet during the critical period when Louie was apparently struggling, we received no immediate warning and no update about his condition. The owner was also not present at the daycare at the time. We later learned that she had a doctor's appointment, which contributed to a delay in communication. While the adults were dealing with schedules, appointments, and communication, Louie was suffering--and we knew nothing. This was supposed to be a simple four-hour trial to see whether Louie could socialize with other dogs. We never agreed to have him taken to a dog park in temperatures reaching 85°F. We never imagined that he would be subjected to strenuous outdoor activity in hot weather. We are devastated that Louie was placed in this situation while in someone else's care. We trusted this daycare because we believed they understood French Bulldogs. That trust was shattered in the worst possible way. Louie was in their care. We trusted them to keep him safe. We expected him to come home. He never did. Louie was not just a dog. He was part of our family, and we will never get him back.

We brought him in at 13 weeks to the EveryPup Program, where he is in a clean and disinfected facility with other safe and healthy pups and he gets training every day by Dave. Almost from day 1 we started noticing huge changes, and he matured so rapidly it's like we have a different dog! He is very calm, polite and attentive, and has been able to self-regulate so well. Dave is always available for our questions and follow ups, and he sends over progress notes and photos every day from training sessions. We also would ask him about problem behavior such as counter surfing or jumping up on people to greet, and Dave would target those specific behaviors as well. We also appreciated how fast and quickly they acted on our puppy swallowing something he shouldn't have, and immediately gave him some hydrogen peroxide to get him to throw it up, which saved us from extremely expensive and likely traumatic vet visits and possible surgery. Very grateful! Every day we pick up our puppy he is so happy from a day of playing and getting love from all the staff, and is tired and ready for some cuddles and naps when he gets home. Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

The facility itself is very well equipped, with more than 100 rooms. They also have separate isolation rooms in case a dog gets sick, which helps prevent illnesses from spreading to other dogs. I thought that was a huge plus. All new dogs are required to provide vaccination records, and they also do about a 20-minute temperament assessment before joining. Based on each dog's personality, they arrange suitable playgroups instead of just mixing all the dogs together. The staff are also very professional and attentive. I told the young lady at the front I was here to pick up Boba, and she said, "I'll be right back with Boba."I waited for 15 minutes for her to return, and when she did, she did not have my dog with her, and she stated something like, "they are in the process of moving the dogs". Some more time goes by, and a manager walks by, and I am livid by this point, and I said, "Where is my flippin dog, although I didn't use flippin. Some more time goes by, and I told the lady at the front that I was walking to the back to get my dog, and you can call whoever you want, but this is BS. When I opened up the gate and was proceeding to walk back, the manager came walking down the steps, and again, I said Where the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ HELL is my dog, to which she replied, I don't know how to tell you this, but WE GAVE YOUR DOG TO THE WRONG PERSON. Needless to say, I lost it, and I said, how the hell is that even POSSIBLE on your end, let alone the person that took my dog home. Who the hell picks up their dog and realizes that this is not my dog and takes it home?????? The Manager said that somehow either she lost her paper collar or someone neglected to read the name on the collar and handed her off to another staff member, and they are the ones that gave her to the wrong owner.....When the new owners of Paw Sweet Paw took over, they implemented this paper tag collar policy, and when you check your dog in, they take the regular collars off of the dog and put a paper collar on the dog. I think it is absolutely ridiculous, but somehow, they believe it's to protect the dogs in case they get in a fight or something, to which I still don't understand. By this point, I cannot even see straight, and I am basically yelling at the Manager as to where my dog is and who the hell is going to get her. She said, "I just spoke to the owner, and I am driving to her house right now to get Boba." The lady that took my dog had two dogs, so as the manager was leaving, I said You might want to go back and get her dog..... She said it would take her about 15 minutes to get to the lady's house and 15 minutes back. Finally, after well over an hour, I got my dog back!!!!!!.. Needless to say, she was extremely anxious and was panting very heavily all the way home, and her heart was racing as well. She finally settled down later that night.....I am not sure what dogs think, but I believe Boba might've been thinking she was being abandoned because she has never been anywhere except Paw Sweet Paw. All in all, I think it was about a 1.5-hour ordeal (nightmare). The Manager said she started 3 weeks ago, apologized profusely, and said she is going to rectify the problem so that it never happens again. She also said that the District Manager would be calling my wife, because by this time, my wife had come down as well. They did call later on that night from a blocked number and left a message with no number to call back. We're still waiting for her to call back. It really sucks because this is the only place we have ever taken Boba, and she actually likes it there cause she is not locked up all day and can play with other dogs. My dog is already anxious, so the idea of finding a new boarding place is less than desirable, but I might have no choice.
