This gelato is always a 10/10! We got lucky this time and were able to walk right in and order with no wait. The staff was really friendly and the gelato was so yummy, refreshing, and perfect on a warm day. Such a cute area too. Always a favorite!

Their sorbets are dairy free! I also like that they fit up to 4 flavors in a small cup. I got three, guava (THE BEST), mango, and strawberry. The flavors are super strong and potent. Lines are long during heat waves, but they go by pretty quickly since service is fast. Prices are reasonable. I love that you get to see them making their home made waffle cones. Inside is small and tight, but like previously mentioned, the line goes by quickly. Parking lots and metered street parking available.

I came here on a Thursday evening and it was about 20 min line to order. I got a variety of gelato which included pistachio, strawberry, cherry, and s'mores. This is easily the best gelato I have had. Definitely worth the wait! Super flavorful with various flavors to choose from! Food(50%): 9.6 Staff/service(25%): 7.5 Value(25%): 8.0 Overall: 8.7/10

I've been here five times and my dad extremely dislikes sweet ice cream and he loves this place! The customer service is wonderful they are very patient yet efficient. If you see a long line don't worry, I timed it from starting outside the hallway and took 20 minutes. There is no indoor seating but the inside is nice and keeps the line moving one way in and one way out. I have not tried any of the sorbets but I loved their seasonal Dubai chocolate flavor please bring it back!!

Spent the day enjoying Laguna Beach doing some pottery, lunch and of course dessert. My husband ordered the limone sorbetto and I ordered a scoop of pistachio gelato and it hit the spot! Yummy gelato and sorbetto if you are craving something cold and creamy. On the weekends expect to see a long line but during the week around 2:00 we walked right in.

Absolutely amazing gelato. everything tastes fresh, creamy, and authentic. There were so many delicious flavors to choose from, and the stuff the staff was very friendly. The pistachio and chocolate flavors were especially delicious. Definitely one of the best gelato places I've tried. Highly recommended!

If you're in Laguna Beach, Gelato Paradiso is a must. In my opinion, it's the best ice cream shop in SoCal. What really stands out is their non dairy selection during the summer. They always have several flavors to choose from, which isn't easy to find. I've tried quite a few of them over the years, but the coconut is still my favorite. It's incredibly creamy, rich, and tastes just like the real thing. There's almost always a line, but don't let that scare you away. It moves pretty quickly, and it's absolutely worth the wait. This time the line wasn't too bad, which was a nice bonus. I stop here whenever I'm in Laguna and it never disappoints.

I've been hearing so much about this place from friends who swear by it. This particular location in Laguna Beach can be tricky to find if you're not familiar, but there are signs outside that can point you in the right direction. Lines can be very long during weekends and peak times, but if you go down time, which I did, there's little wait. There's plenty of flavors to choose from as you can see from the picture, and apparently they let you sample some if you ask. I went with their regular cone size which costs about $6-7, and you can select up to three flavors. I chose the Pistachio, Chocolate chip (stracciatella), and Milk Chocolate Hazelnut. Overall, all three flavors were very delicious, with the stracciatella being my favorite. The regular cone and the 3 scoop portions are very generous and could probably be shared amongst 2 people. Afterwards, you may feel heavy from all the gelato, but its worth it. I can see why this place is very popular!

The gelato here was so tasty and creamy that I wish I lived closer so I could come here all the time. We didn't have to wait in a long line, however, I can see there being a wait from time to time. But, the line moved pretty quickly, so if there is a wait, i wouldn't believe it would be for very long. We tried the Pistachio, Salted Caramel and Chocolate and had no regrets! We're for sure making this a must stop at place anytime we're in the area!

Definitely had to check this gelato place out during our staycation !!! we drove past it Friday and Saturday but the line was so long. So We decided to stop by Sunday morning after brunch , so glad we did ! 5 minutes after arriving we were already eating our amazing gelatos. They have a good variety and all the free samples I tasted were amazing. We ended up getting the lime, which was the fan favorite and absolutely blew my mind. We also got the chocolate which my daughter's loved, the pineapple was not bad at all, and the hibiscus flower is worth the trip back again and again.

Somewhat hidden in an alley, you can find this place by following the scent of fresh waffle cones (and the long line). Overall, the texture of the gelato is fantastic: creamy, sticky, and not overly heavy. I feel like the flavors are not as good as some other places but still pretty solid. Highly recommend as a stop on your beach day

It was a hot day and the sun, ripping apart at my skin, was screaming at me to get ice cream. Afraid of what it'll do if I say no, I relented and made my way to Gelato Paradiso. Line was short and I got my mint chocolate ice cream in less than 10 minutes. I didn't even need a sample, I'm a man who knows what I'm about. Regarding the ice cream, the mint was there, as was undoubtedly the chocolate. The title didn't lie, nor was I expecting it to. Servings were generous and the staff were efficient. What more could one want? Extra bonus points for the location in an alleyway that resembles the outside of the Pirates of the Carribean ride in Disneyland.

This place is amazing, We waited about 25 minutes in line to order but it was so worth it. I ordered a small mix of the mango and wild berry sorbet and it definitely hit the spot. It wasn't too sweet and the texture was perfect. Employees were friendly and once inside, service was fast.

Small selection of the flavors, there are many more

Besides that, they had all the standard gelato flavors, plus a ton more unique ones! I was tempted to try so many of them (even though I'm that person that always just orders chocolate chip or hazelnut anyway). My daughter picked taro and the "sea witch" flavor, which was purple sweet potato and squid ink caramel. She got to sample both of them before deciding since I wasn't sure if she would like those flavors, but she did! And even though she mainly picked them because they were purple, they actually complimented each other well since they were both sweet root vegetables haha. This place offered 4 different sizes (kid, small, medium and large). Even the kid size was a bit much for my 4 year old daughter, but it's probably the right size for like a 10 year old... Naturally I helped her finish it! The gelato was delicious and I loved the uniqueness of both of these flavors! The visual aesthetic was fabulous, too. Our server was very kind and patient as my daughter decided what she wanted. We sat in the store for a few minutes as we ate before we headed back to our parking meter. There were around 4 small tables with a couple chairs each for sitting. It seems like enough since most people probably grab n go since there's so much window shopping to do in this area. In summary, we loved this gelato shop and can't wait to see what future seasonal flavors they have!

It's his absolute favorite, and we were so excited to hear they're opening a location closer to our home. Because we come so often, I intentionally order him the smallest serving to limit his sugar, but for years I've asked them to put that same small amount in the largest cup so it doesn't melt and spill everywhere. I'm not asking for one drop of extra gelato... just a bigger paper cup. Recently, a manager told me they could no longer do this because they're "losing too much money" on the larger cups. I was honestly flabbergasted. Meanwhile, customers standing in line are offered free gelato samples, often multiple samples, but apparently an empty larger cup for a five-year-old is where we draw the line on cost? The photos show exactly why I ask. This time we had brought friends and their children with us, and everyone walked outside with gelato overflowing and melting everywhere. At the volume they buy their cups even if the larger cup costs 50 cents more.. THEN charge me for it! I'd happily pay FOR THE COST OF A LARGER CUP. But after years of loyalty and hundreds of visits.. bringing EVERYONE for "Bacio break" being told this tiny accommodation is costing the company too much money was incredibly disappointing. The first time this manager said this, I let it slide.. this was the 4th recent visit and I HAD TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE. So although their gelato is tasty... they have a very disappointing approach to customer service from top down....hospitality is not anywhere near their priority list.

South Swell is the kind of place where you walk in thinking, "I'll just get a little ice cream," and five minutes later you're staring at a chocolate-covered, peanut-butter-drizzled architectural project wondering how your life got here. I ordered the chocolate ice cream bar, and my girlfriend went with vanilla soft serve, peanuts, and an Oreo cookie situation underneath it. Both were ridiculously good. Her dessert in particular looked like someone took a vanilla soft serve, dropped it into a construction zone, and then said, "Yeah. More peanuts." And the chocolate bar? Absolutely filthy in the best possible way. Chocolate, crunchy, creamy, peanut-buttery. basically every part of my brain responsible for making rational decisions just clocked out. I think I fucked up by not getting the bon fire or bomb fire. Whatever the fuck it's called. There was a pretty long line, so I'm not going to pretend we walked right in and were immediately handed dessert by the gods. We waited. But honestly? Worth it. It was worth it.
