I had Ed complete work twice in new apartment on the second floor (last 9 weeks). There is a third floor above me. The second time out, he spent 30 minutes telling me he couldn't hang my pot rack or my curtain rods because of pipes running through the ceiling and walls. I was frustrated and called the maintenance man on sight who reassured him there were no water lines running through those areas (another 15 minutes). Ed stayed an additional hour to get the work done but he charged me for the extra hour. He should have asked me ahead of time to get this information because he'd been here prior and knew I was on the second floor. He had my list from the first visit and was aware of the layout of the apartment. Had the maintenance man not been available, Ed would have left and charged me for the 2 hours with the work undone. He does work fast and is conscientious about getting as much done as possible. I didn't schedule in enough time the first time and needed him to come back. I asked how much time he needed to finish my list; he quoted me an additional 2 hours. If Ed was a good business man he would have accepted responsibility for not asking me to get this information in advance because he would have been able to complete the work in that 2 hour frame but he still charged me $225. read more

Ed is a great handyman all around. He moves quickly and doesn't milk the time in order to increase his billable hours. He was able to fix my leaking sink, hang new lighting, identified and fixed my bathroom fan, repaired my lock on my sliding patio door, repaired my back gate quickly and easily.
