This is the 1st time I had a horrible service at this place. It's my fault I guess because I let someone other than Moon touch my nails. But for a removal I wouldn't have guessed it would be that difficult.... The lady (don't know her name but I told Edith the receptionist about the whole thing) she kept burning my nails with the drill. I pulled my hand away more than 3 times because the drill was hot and it was burning me. And in the 2nd photo my ring finger is bruised because she kept grabbing my hand back and holding my finger in place to finish with the drill. Like..... if I keep pulling away and I say "it hurts" wouldn't it be common sense to LOWER the speed of your drill or switch to MANUEL filing. Not once did she apologize and she seemed upset with me every time I pulled away like lady it freaking hurts. No sense of customer service or customer care. I love this place but this was probably the worst 40 minutes I spent there. I left feeling uneasy, upset, annoyed that my nails are ugly and uneven and with a bruise on my finger. Let's start with the positives: Appointment was easy to book online through Yelp message. Very responsive I like how the massage chair has the remote built in They are efficient at what they do I didn't have a great experience here mainly because of a few things. Arrival was checked in and then told to wait. Usually other nail salons have me pick the color first. I was escorted to the massage chair all the way to the end of the room and then asked what colors I wanted. I got both a mani/pedi with gel. Since I don't get them often, I wasn't aware that I had picked a cat color magnetic nail polish that cost extra. They quoted me the amount but didn't give me a breakdown of the cost. I was happy with how the nails looked, but because of lack of transparency with the fees, it ended up being more than I had expected. The actual service was fast and they were both done within the hour. It also would be helpful for new customers to get a brief overview so they could know that there's snacks/drinks and which types of nail polish there are. read more

I had a good experience during a pedicure a couple weekends ago, but the front desk associates gave me a really hard time during the transaction of a gift card. When I asked for a receipt, they were saying they can't do it. Then they asked me if I wouldn't be able to remember the amount left on the card? When I asked if there was a way I could get it texted, one associate spun the pad around and I was able to have it texted to my phone. When I got the receipt, I realized they charged me the wrong amount! I called, and explained this is why customers ask for receipts, they didn't even apologize, but it looks like they refunded it to my card, and sent another receipt. The only way you can check the amount on the card is if you come in and they scan it. read more

She was nice and didn't try to sell me on any more services like some places do. Even when I've booked random technicians before, I've never had any issues, but today was very different because I was in a rush, couldn't book my usual appointment. I ended up with Jodie, whom I would not recommend. During my gel manicure, she cut me multiple times (as shown in the photo), never apologized, got alcohol in the cuts which made them sting, spent nearly an hour just filing my nails, then seemed to rush through painting them once more customers came in. She also skipped the hand massage that usually comes after a gel manicure as well as cuticle oil. While I usually love this salon, I would strongly suggest steering clear of Jodie. read more

My sister made a reservation for us and she said it was a bit tricky since no one would respond to her. Eventually she was able to get through and make one, but the day of the reservation, they somehow changed my appointment time last minute and didn't notify anyone. We called and were able to get the issue resolved fairly quickly though. The pedicure was fine and I liked how they have several options. I didn't have any complaints there. They also have massage chairs that are pretty strong! However, the manicure was not as enjoyable. I showed my nail tech an inspo pic and she said she would be able to accomodate. However, as she started to paint my nails, it wasn't coming out as I anticipated. I also had to repeat myself several times as it didn't seem like she was understanding the concepts (which was fine, I would rather her try to understand than waste both of our time). The final result didn't look anything like what I wanted, but it was still somewhat acceptable. My main issue is that the pearls only lasted THREE days before they fell off the nail. My sister's gems also didn't even last a week. For $115-140, we expected the gems to at least last a couple of weeks. Other nail salons have been able to get them to last a month when applied properly. I would probably return for a pedi, but certainly not a complicated manicure. read more

I've been here once before for a regular pedicure and that turned out okay. But today, I had my gel nails removed and a regular manicure after. My nails turned out uneven, SUPER CLUMPY, and with tons of mini air bubbles on several of the nails. I had to ask my nail tech to redo a few of my nails and she only redid one as she said if she put another coat over the other one, "it would take too long". The nail polish looked thick and sticky coming from the bottle, so it probably was kind of dry to begin with. By the time she was done, that was when I saw the mini air bubbles and uneveness so it was a little late to change the color at that point. It also was supposed to have an 8 minute hot stone massage. The massage was very weak-- she rubbed a hot stone on my hand and up and down my arm a few times. She "massaged" my arms, but the pressure was very weak and there was no timer, so I'm not sure if I did get the full 8 min. The quality of the nail polish was not good and the finished manicure was upsetting for the price I paid. Maybe my experience was a one-off as the store was full of people. But, I was so unhappy with the service I would not come back here for a regular manicure. read more

I am always happy with the work done - it's clear that the nail artists take their craft very seriously, and strive to make sure customers truly like what they are getting! I am asked numerous times to confirm if what they're doing (color, length, design) looks good to me which I really appreciate. Though i've enjoyed getting my nails done from all of the nail techs, my favorite artists are Angie and Moon! I have seen her be rude with others but I genuinely think she's especially mean & negatively biased towards me because of the first review I left. Today, I asked for the exact same service I got last month (just a different color). Last month, I paid $75 with Nikki. This time, Moon quoted me $90. The only difference was acrylic on 2 nails, which Moon said would be $5 total. I had no problem paying, but I wanted clarity on why the price jumped $15 in just 3 weeks. The receptionist couldn't explain and called Vi. Instead of clarifying, Vi told me, "If you don't like the prices, don't come back" and claimed that I always have issues with the pricing (which is absolutely absurd and false). I stayed calm and reiterated that I was fine paying. I just wanted to understand what changed so I can make informed choices in the future. Both Vi and the receptionist insisted the prices changed in the last 3 weeks and that it was my responsibility to check (though I was never informed of any increase). Again, this entire time I am reiterating that I WILL pay the full price, but would like a breakdown of what specifically increased. I left feeling extremely disappointed and upset. The nail techs deserve credit, but the way Vi handled the situation was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Best quality nails in South Bay! They do amazing work and can handle all kinds of designs. My nail artist was Sunny. She was super sweet, really friendly, and super gentle with my nails. I went for something simple, Nude Cat Eye with a little 3D heart design on the ring finger. One of the nail artists mentioned that the Nude Cat Eye is one of their new colors, and it's so pretty! I had my gelx nails removed here and I'm not too sure how to feel about the experience. The place was really packed and busy. It was clean and had snacks and drinks for customers. The removal process was quick, but the nail tech seemed pretty careless in how she handled my nails at times. There still seems to be a thin, sheer layer of the gel on my nails and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that to not drill so far to damage my natural nails, or she didn't do enough of cleaning everything up. Also she clipped my nails really rough so it hurt when she was clipping off the longer tips of the extensions. Later on she even cut off my natural nails really short without asking if that was ok. Then I ended up with strangely shaped natural nails that I ended up fixing on my own after I got home. I'm sure the techs are great in doing nail art and manicures, but I'm not sure if I'd want to trust them in removing anything off my nails. read more

I came in today to have it removed due to me wanting to go natural with my hands. They were very attentive and careful in removing the set. I also got a pedicure, the basic $35 dollar one. I had booked with Elina. During my appointment, after we had already begun the service, I was told midway through that my nails could not be finished because the nail tech did not have enough time. What was most disappointing is that at the start of the appointment, I was asked what I had in mind for my nails. At no point was I informed that my request could not be completed within the scheduled time. Had this been communicated beforehand, I could have adjusted expectations, rescheduled, or chosen a different service or technician. I was not given the option to switch to another nail tech, nor was a solution or alternative offered. As a result, I left the salon unhappy and dissatisfied with my experience.
