I have been to must have nails three times and the first two times I came out loving my nails, Natalie does 5 star work. Unfortunately today there was no availability with natalie and i had Luna do my nails. I showed her what i wanted which was pink french tip but I told her i wanted them to be super square and sharp. I came out with chunky round looking nails and a sloppy looking french tip. If she did not feel confident in being able to do what i showed her in the photo I wish she had been honest about it before starting to do them, it would have saved us both our time. I want to cry at how bad they look and I have a hard time telling a nail tech when i hate the nails especially in front of the rest of the clients. I cant believe I still paid for them and left her a tip. It is always great to discover a local business that fits my busy schedule! I found this gem nail salon while looking for a last-minute Sunday pedicure and was thrilled to see that they open at 9:00am (earlier than other nail shops)! I made reservation online just 30 minutes before they opened without a problem. The location is very convenient with plenty of parking and a Starbucks right next door. I'm visiting from SoCal and my sister wanted to try a new nail salon so we stopped by on 12/29/25. She called to make an appointment for her and my mom, but when we arrived, I decided to join in, so three of us ended up requesting to get services done. The owner was nice enough to accommodate with no issues. When we walked in the vibe was definitely relaxing and had a clean aesthetic. It was minimally, but spot on decorated for the holidays with burgundy velvet ribbons throughout the salon. As soon as our services were decided we were then offered drinks and received small waters and traditional madeleines. Nice touch! My sister and I were taken to the spa pedicure chairs where the water was already filling up. The spa chairs were very comfortable and had various back massage options. The salon opened approximately 3-4 months ago so everything was still in pristine condition. Amy started on my gel manicure and then she was switched to complete my gel pedicure and Kim came to finish my gel manicure. The owner was very apologetic about having to make the nail tech switch after my services had already started, but I was totally okay with it since I was a last minute addition. My mom received a gel manicure and she said her nail tech was very gentle, so she loved it. My sister and I both requested a gel pedicure and gel manicure and our nail techs were awesome! Mia and Sandy worked on my sister, while Amy and Kim helped me. They listened to what we wanted and rendered their services professionally. Everything the nail techs did was done in a pleasant manner; they were delicate while being detailed and moved with the right amount of pressure during the leg and arm massages. Our techs made sure we were comfortable every step of the way throughout our visit. My total was $140 for the Touch of Calm Retreat pedicure and the Harmony Glow Retreat manicure, both with gel fees. Including the tip, I paid $175. Overall, this salon provides calm spa feels, played subtle jazzy holiday music in the background and treated patrons with VIP level service for all. Next time I'm in northern Cali visiting family, I'd return. Since it was our first time there, we each received a small gift (hydrating body lotion and CBD massage body oil), which was an unexpected thoughtful surprise. I have been getting my nails done for over a decade (not very frequently though). I used to get cheap acrylic nails done by a random lady next to my high school & the nails were rarely uniform and were pretty thick. I loved them. Basically, that's to say that I didn't really have many expectations getting my nails done as an adult. I found Must Have Nails on Yelp, and since they had so many positive reviews, I bit the bullet and booked for today at 13:30. There was some sort of scheduling error & the woman at the front asked to see my confirmation (thankfully it was correct, or I would've disintegrated from embarrassment lmao). The women all kept apologizing, but I wasn't in any sort of rush, so I happily waited. My appt finally started at around 13:45-13:50. Also, the entire salon had relaxing music, nobody was speaking too loudly or anything, and there was such a lovely smell the entire time. The tech who did my nails today was Luna. She initially started off kind of shy, but once I started talking about animals with her, she excitedly showed me a picture of her dog, and we chatted about different animal-related things. I opted to do Gel-X, since I love how thin and natural they look. The entire time Luna and I were chatting. She didn't take her eyes off my nails and thoroughly worked on them and focused on them while still maintaining conversation. I had a design in mind, but more so as just a guideline, and told Luna she could have creative freedom to do what she liked. She very effortlessly worked and the final product, to me, outdid the reference photo I showed her, which is incredible! I also appreciated that, after applying and shaping my nails, but before doing any design, Luna went over the price with me. That shows there was no chance of random added-on charges (and actually, she ended up making it lower than anticipated!). I paid via Venmo and also was able to tip Luna directly with the app. Since it was my first visit, they also gave me a cuticle oil! I came in one morning for a mani appointment and I was the only one there so I ended up deciding to get a pedi too. It was so relaxing! Nancy gave me my gel pedicure and she gave the most amazing leg and foot massage. My muscles and feet were so fatigued from exercise, and Nancy gave me a real massage with excellent technique. I really liked this salon the first time I came, they did such a cute polka dot French tip design for me! This time I came in for a fill and chose a simple ombré design. I thought it would be quick and easy, but it ended up taking about two hours. Since the ombré wasn't coming out quite right, I switched to a pink cat-eye design instead. I'm happy with how my nails turned out! the color is super pretty, and the customer service was great. They even served me Nespresso coffee and cookies, which was such a nice touch. I wanted to update my review. I made an appointment to get gel x for my second visit here. I booked online with Natalie. When I arrived at my appointment time, I checked in, gave them my name and the worker told me a few minutes wait. For a Friday, they were busier and much busier than the Friday I was there the first time. I waited for about 15 minutes and another worker, I believe may have been the owner, asked me for my name and asked if she could help me. I told her I had an appointment at 5pm and I assume they are running behind. I finally got seated and I showed the technician my photo and what I wanted. I had another meeting after and didn't want to be late, since online the appt time scheduling said it was an hour 15 min for gel x. But she did get it done with an hour, however I felt like there were things that were not done during my service. She didn't wipe the nail dust under my nails and I have a build up which made my nails look "dirty". I tried to wash off but it stuck and I'll have to wait till next time to get it removed.
