My family went to QT nails to get ready for a wedding. My aunt booked the appointment in advance because we had a large group. The staff here was really accommodating and took care of all 7 of us with manis and pedis. Everyone was really nice and helpful with color and design suggestions. The pedicure was relaxing in the massage chair and Kim did a great job on my toe nails and even painted made a row of flowers! For my finger nails I was blown away by Bea's skill. I randomly found this place on Yelp and went in on a Wednesday afternoon. Oh man... I enjoyed myself so much here during my acrylic manicure and regular pedicure. The technicians are so nice and funny. Lol! They did an awesome job on my mani and pedi and the acrylic nails lasted over a month. The nail techs at QT Nails are just the sweetest. Obviously, everyone is different on how they want their nails but if you want something simple yet cute, this could be a good spot. They do take walk ins but I recommend booking an appointment especially during their rush hours which seems to be weekend mornings and/or after 4pm on weekdays. More quality and care for appointments during busier hours. I usually like my manicures short, gel, one solid color, and almond shape. For pedicures, just one solid color. Honestly, this little hole in the wall is a DREAM COME TRUE! Not only because of their service, but the PRICE is the best pricing I've came across getting older in the Bay Area and going to different salons to find a reasonable and fair priced salon. Kim was my pedicurist and she was AMAZING! She literally greeted me as soon as she was assigned to me and made sure that I was accommodated. Kim literally asked me if I was ok or if I needed anything every 15mins of my service and I swear to you, that's the BEST service I've ever received in general. I am coming from outside of Santa Clara and coming from Contra Costa County visiting for a party and finding this gem was the greatest discovery I've ever made for self-care. I literally got a gel-pedi on Saturday and after Kim was done, I asked her what I owed her and when she told $42 for a GEL PEDICURE, I literally died in my chair because I have not heard of that price in YEARSSSS! Honestly for that price and service she deserved that $25 tip (should had made a $30 instead - LOL!). For me, if I can find a pedicure salon that not only charges fair PRICING and the service was AMAZING, my tips will be getting bigger as I keep making my way out here for Kim's service. Also, please keep the foot traffic here light - LOL! I want to be able to come here when I can without everyone hogging the wonderful ladies here. Worst nail job I've ever had and I've been getting my nails done for 15 years. I got a new set on Thursday morning and by today Saturday afternoon 4 of the nails fell off. I then proceeded to remove the others and it took me all of 2 mins to take the rest off. For anyone who has had a fresh new set it would be almost impossible to remove brand new nails without breaking or damaging them, as you can see they came off intact. Not to mention it would incredibly painful and they came off with ease. I knew when I walked out of there that they were bad and was not going to ever go back but not this horrible. I'm extremely disappointed and upset. It's 3 days before Christmas and I now have to try and go get another set somewhere else with very little time. read more

I've come to this salon twice now in the past few weeks because I've just had such great experiences. I made appointments both times and had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but it was really busy both times so it's totally understandable. Everyone is always in a good mood and it just adds great energy to the environment. I had two different nail techs do my nails and both took their time to make sure everything looked good and asked for my input. I also appreciate how they double check on the color because I almost accidentally did a blue instead of the purple color that I had originally wanted. I normally go to their sister shop T Nail Salon off of Steven's Creek. But T Nail Salon closes at 7, and I needed my nails done pretty badly. I found out that QT Nails was opened till, 8pm. I called and made an appointment for 7. I was eyeing this place for before they sold it to the new owner. Now, I also heard Ana from T Nail Salon, works at this location now. I called, and asked for her because she is great with nail art. Turns out Ana picked up the phone and pretend to be someone else, and said she wasn't there. That's really DISAPPOINTING, she felt like she needed to lie. However, I have to give Vivian & another woman who was very nice. The customer service was great from those two! Been here three times now- the first two for a mani-pedi, and the third because I broke a nail. Ana did my (gel polish) mani the first two times, and insisted I come back if I got a chip during vacation. Lo and behold, one of my nails broke off on one corner (darn luggage) and Ana took care of me even though it was a nail break and not a polish chip! The person who did my pedi both times did cut a bit too short the first visit and I didn't realize until it was too late (-1 star). She commented on how short they were the second visit, so I'll be sure to keep a close eye on those clippers from now on. Ana, the owner, is very personable. She and the rest of the crew here are very cognizant when it comes to making sure the customer is comfortable- they offered me a drink during my first two visits, and even put my bag on the chair nearby (it wasn't too busy with customers) so that I'd have more room in my seat to relax.
