We have enjoyed our stay here. The staff is very nice and helpful. The restaurant, lounge and outside patio is nice and the food is very good. Our suite was nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. We had a big jacuzzi tub and separate large shower. Suites have a full size fridge and sink, small counter top, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. We missed having a stove but we made do. The front desk has a large selection of DVDs available to borrow to play in your room for free which is nice. read more

Really nice place. They are a Shell Vacation spot so someone will bug you to sit in on a time share presentation so beware. Booked through Expedia for one night for our anniversary. When we got there we were told all they had was a room with two doubles. Went outside to cancel with Expedia and they suddenly had the king room available that we had booked. On 1/3/2018 I wanted to book a tee time at a nicer golf course as my son would be leaving to start school and wanted to make it something a little more special than the regular East Valley courses we play in Gilbert. So I went to book a tee time through the Orangetree golf resort website. We booked a foursome for Saturday 1/6/2018 (yesterday) at 12:37 p.m. The booking offered an option to pay $58 a person for golf and a cart OR $65 per person for golf, cart AND meal & drink. Let me preface the remainder of the story by saying me and my friends have lived in the East Valley for over 30 years and we have numerous choices when it comes to playing a round of golf. Over the years we have supported Orangetree Golf having played and stayed at the resort numerous times. We have always had a great time and have always been treated with respect, as a paying customer should be. Now comes the problem, and if I could give 0 stars I would have. As I mentioned the tee time (which included meal & drink) was at 12:37 p.m. When we checked in and the Pro Shop staff member named "Nate" checked us in, he gave us the coupon for the meal and drink for after the round. I asked, knowing that a round of gold could take in excess of 4 1/2 to 5 hours, that we may not finish until between 5:00 and 5:30 and would there be any problem or issue with using the coupe for the meal and drink after our round. Nate sated .."should not be a problem, just make sure you get done by 6:00 p.m. and you shouldn't have a problem." Before we were cleared by the starter to play, my playing partners and I went to the bar to order some drinks before the round began. My buddy specifically asked the bar tender about the use of the meal & drink coupon, Bartender said to that after the round be sure to come back to this area to order the meal and drink. We asked if there would be a problem "redeeming" the coupons if we were not going to be finishing up until 5:00 or 5:30. He stated specifically that we will not have a problem if we get there before 6 p.m. Having been satisfied with both answers from two different areas of the resort, we took our coupons (4 of them) and proceeded to play the round of golf. As anticipated, we finished the round of 18 holes at approximately 5:15 p.m. We immediately put our clubs away and headed over to the bar/grill area and "Sean" one of the wait staff seated us. he then asked if we were there for the Prime Rib meal. We said no that we just finished a round of golf and were wanting to redeem he meal & drink coupon. He looked at the coupon and said he didn't think they could honor the meal & drink as it was close to 6:00 p.m. and thats when the Prime Rib meal starts and the grill is closed. We said that we were told by both the Pro Shop and the Bartender that we wouldn't have a problem if we were back after our round before 6:00 p.m., which it was. He then said he would take the coupons and speak to his manager. This is when Sean went over to a server named Dave (bald with a goatee and glasses who was trying to start a fire in the fire pit). We could hear Sean ask Dave that we were there to use the coupon to which Dave responded, without any hesitation or thought,....."I don't think so"...and walked away. At this point my buddy got up and went over to Dave to let him know what we overheard and that w didn't appreciate that he didn't give this one iota of a though about trying to make this right. Dave began arguing with my buddy and, in my mind, kind f got in my buddy's face. N=My friend told him that he didn't appreciate being treated like we were begging for food and drink and that we are paying customers and deserved to be treated as such. Dave sad.."you don't have to tell me that your a customer, I know who you are." It just got worse from there. Sean came back over and said that he spoke to the manager and said that, even though the Prime Rib was about to start, they would honor the coupon and we could order from their "Lunch" menu....keeping in mind it was almost 5:30 p.m. and then he added further that we would have to pay for drinks. I advised that the coupon, which we paid extra for, was for mea & drink. Sean said he got approval for us to order from the menu and that we could order drinks that we would need to pay for. We were tired and hungry and so we ordered from the "lunch" menu and order drinks for the table. We were served our meal and Sean brought us the bill. It was $22.50 for 2 cocktails, a beer and a Pepsi. We once again advised that we paid extra on our Tee time for a meal and drink and we feel we were being treated unfairly. He got flustered and and we just paid the man and included a $8.00 tip. Never have I ever been treat=ed in such a way. I felt like we were being looked at trying to get something for free....when in fact we paid for it up front. Shame on Orangetree and their staff. I will NEVER golf or ever support this resort in the future. read more

It was a gorgeous room but so far away from where we could park. Was really disappointed that a place that calls themselves a resort didn't have room service or even a restaurant. They had a small grill place like what I would expect at the ballpark. Even that closed at 5 I think. The boyfriend enjoyed the driving range but you would think Arizona would have where you do this tone covered with those misters they have everywhere else in the city. Swimming in the pool was nice and the water was just right temperature. Massage was good well worth the money. Staff were all Friendly. read more

These rooms are huge! Boooked through hotels.com. Never used them before so I wasn't sure whether we would get an older worn out unit for the price. We didn't. It is a lot more than I expected for the price. The photos I have seen do not do the size justice. We have a young one so we needed the separate room so we can stay up past 7:30 so this is perfect. Most of the space is outside of the bedroom. The walk-in shower is huge. View on our particular unit is weak, but a 10' x 10' patio is nice no matter what. Good stereo with ceiling speakers too. read more

This place is the best! The grounds are very well kept and the staff has been nothing but perfect... They even helped me find a free parking space near our room. The room is very spacious and we love having a full size fridge! The tub was large and worked great. We will definitely be back!! Great location in Scottsdale. We had planned our stay at the Orange Tree excited for a nice vacation by the pool as our event was also there and we wouldn't have to travel except to and from the airport. We arrived the night of our check-in only to find out that the pool was under construction and we had to travel elsewhere to use a pool. They had no transportation for us to get to this other location except for us to pay for an UBER each time we wanted to use the pool or they suggested we walk since we were young. Walking would take us 15 mins each way and I was NOT about to carry my pool stuff back and forth. Their staff was NOT helpful AT ALL!! We decided it was in our best interest to find another location to stay that HAD a pool since that was our plan for our stay. Now that we are back home, the Orange Tree has charged us the FULL amount of our stay even though we didn't stay their due to their lack of communication and unhelpful staff. One night charge is understandable and accepted but the FULL amount is NOT OK!! This has also made our account go negative as it was not in our budget to pay for 3 nights stay in 2 locations. Came to Arizona to visit my cousin. Traded my timeshare for Orange Tree Golf Resort. The one bedroom was very cute and spacious. It was not the most luxurious place I have stayed but everyone that worked there was beyond my expectations of nice and helpful. I felt like I was a celebrity. We were approached to do a timeshare presentation and I flat out said no way. The last one I attended (with a different company) was terrible and thought I would never do one again. But a lady named Dawn Mancini promised me it would be nothing like other presentations. And she went above and beyond to help us get a good golf time. On Wednesday morning we attended presentation. Number one I have never had such a good breakfast burrito, coffee, fruit and desert. Glen did the group presentation and it was very informative and went very smoothly. He was also the person that worked with us on the cost and benefits of the Shell (Wyndham) package. I left with such a good attitude because of how nice Glen was I would highly recommend staying here. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the rooms to not have a cook top (they will give you an electric skillet upon request. And one more thank you to Jonny for pickup us up to and from car. read more

Booked this as Interval Time Share Exchange. Room nice enough. Grounds well kept. BUT it was a quarter mile from closest parking to car! (No exaggeration.) Bell hops in carts available if you don't mind tipping when you bring in a bag of groceries or return from shopping trip, etc. They do NOT leave extra face or toilet tissue in the room but do bring when requested. No remote for DVD player, and remote for was so worn we couldn't read keys... little things add up quickly. We have stayed at nicer places in Scottsdale using Interval Exchange but will not stay here again. read more

I am a long time owner at Orange Tree and I love this place very much. For about the last 5 years, I have been taking my week vacation and spending it at Orange Tree, a 'Staycation' so to speak. All was very good with our stay except one thing. We had lunch at the resort on Wed. the 24th. Our server was nice enough and did a good job. Our bill was $18.13, she gave me change as if our bill was $19.00 When I asked her why she did not give me change, she said that she gave me change, I said what about the 87 cents in coins. She said the she just rounds off. WHAT!? Rounds off!? From $18.13 to $19.00? Why not round down to $18.00? I have NEVER heard of this rounding off procedure. So she has taken it upon herself to take 87 cents from me. Now I understand 87 cents is not a big deal and it certainly will not break me but it is the idea that this person took that liberty. I was not very happy. So if you eat at the Grove in the Orange Tree resort be sure to check your bill and count your change. read more

I honestly don't know how this place had such a great review/star rating on the booking site. The room is nice. The pool is decent but this is not a resort in any way shape or form. One little cafe at the golf side of the property, no room service, no spa. Oh and there is no housekeeping. Stayed here four nights and was informed that there is no housekeeping for my stay. There was free laundry in a dank room by the pool with a dirty cracked floor and an extremely wobbly fan. The place really just feels like some sort of time share condo. Again NOT A RESORT read more

Golfers BEWARE!! Tuesday of this week both of our golf bags were stolen! When we reported it the golf pro didn't even apologize! We left them in the bag rack to go to the bar after playing golf. We get the feeling this happens a lot. We'll never go back there! read more

I played in less than 4 hours yesterday. Got a good price which included a very nice lunch. Course is in good shape, ranger keeps everyone moving, and weather was great as usual. This is a good summer choice because of the trees and shade but we enjoyed a springtime round. Will do it again. read more

We just completed an awesome 4-day John Jacobs Golf Academy at Orange Tree Golf Resort. The rooms, club house, and service were all great. Only two items prevent me giving the 5th star -- 1. The women's lounge/locker room was not up to standard. First of all the women's bathroom in the club house was "temporarily" closed (really? for 5 days?) which forced women to use the women's locker room. It was something out of the Tenderloin in San Francisco (not good). It was dark, dingy, old -- definitely not inviting. A few ugly lockers and a room or closet with a board across it -- no idea what was in there. 2. No room service ... after a hard day on the course, I could barely move. I really wanted room service -- not a pizza delivery from outside. Also, we had planned to have dinner there our last night. It was prime rib night which sounded good to me, but others in the party wanted other food off the menu. What? only prime rib. We would have been fine with a limited menu from which to select. Instead, we were forced to make other plans. read more

I had to write about the Orange Tree Golf Resort because I own a timeshare unit there. I bought a unit in 1994, and back then, they were 1 of about 4 timeshares in Phoenix. Now, it seems there are dozens of timeshares in the Phoenix area. Currently, the resort is in the porcess of upgrading all of the rooms, so if you book there, ask for an remodeled room. I haven't seen the newly remodeled rooms, but based on the old style, the rooms are great. The bigest complaint people seem to have about the rooms are the lack of a full kitchen. But keep in mind, the Orange Tree was not built as timeshares, rather, it was a former hotel that went bankrupt. The old units had a "college sized" refridgerator, but the remodeled units will have a full sized refridgerator and flat creen LCD TV. The bathroom is the best part of the units, with a two person water jet tub and a walk-in shower and television. The resort is in a great location, just a few miles from downtown Scottsdale, or about a 20 minute drive to downtown Phoenix. The on-site restaurant and bar are great, and if you are a golfer, the course is fantastic. read more

I have been golfing at this resort for over 20 years and enjoy the course. Please be aware that you need to watch your personal items in your golf cart and bags. My group checked back in after our round of golf and discovered that one of our wallets was left in the cart. We called the resort and they claimed they didn't find it when their staff checked in the golf cart and rental clubs. We had to travel back to the resort the next day to check for the wallet and found it stuffed in the rental bag. The only problem is that the staff helped themselves to the $150 in cash. WARNING the resort was unhelpful and the managements answer was "that this happens frequently to cash and clubs so the police don't do anything". I would not stay at a resort that has such a poor response to issues their guests experiance. read more

Had a Saturday morning tee time on 6/27/15 @ 6:32am. My friend and I arrived at 6:15am, paid for our round and headed to the first tee. There was not a soul in site. What is the natural thing to do on a course? TEE OFF. The course was wide open and there were only two of us. Once we get to the 2nd hole and are about to tee off the "Starter" comes flying over and tells us we need to go to hole 10. Why on earth do we need to do that when we're a twosome and there's nobody ahead of us? Use some common sense. So we argue with him then go all the way back to the 10th tee where he says we need to pair up with another twosome that's going off at 6:32am. Well 6:32am rolls around and this other twosome is nowhere to be found, so what's the natural thing to do while golfing? TEE OFF. We played the back 9 quickly and everything went great. Now we get back the first hole (which we already played) and the starter yells at us for not waiting for the other twosome on hole 10. Really??!?! It's our fault your other twosome was late? Not only was he rude, but there were 4 foursomes waiting to tee off on the 1st hole and he wouldn't let us play through! We're already on the course playing our round and you're making us wait for 4 foursomes???? We left immediately. Complained to the Pro in the clubhouse and he couldn't have cared less. I will never play here again. read more

Complete disappointment. Whoever answers the phone for tee time reservations misled us to think a junior could play as a 5th player. Get to the course to find out ad nauseum that they never allow it. We always keep up the pace and at this course the pace was slow. Such a bummer as we'd have gladly booked elsewhere to play with family during the holidays. Well what a memorable experience. We stayed here two nights and was happy with the room. They have golf carts to take you to your building if it is at the end of the complex but it can be quite the hike from your car to your room. Really my only complaint but who can't use some extra steps in their day. :) read more

alright i'm not into resorts, or golf all that much. but i found this place to be extremely accommodating (real friendly staff). the room i stayed in for $99 had a king bed, living room, bedroom, jacuzzi, shower, 2 sink bathroom, flat screen monitors, and a patio deck. parking is a bit of a bitch since anything past the 400 buildings you're walking your ass in the hot arizona heat. but my buddy got married here so its good in my book. read more

My husband and I got married at the Orange Tree Golf Resort on April 28. It was a fantastic experience, and we are really happy that we chose to use that venue for our ceremony (reception was elsewhere). The Orange Tree is an excellent place to reserve a block of rooms. Their prices are unbeatable -- people who reserved rooms under our block rate paid $115+tax per night and $85+ tax per night if they caught the Black Friday special. Also, the rooms are all suites, which is excellent if you have a lot of friends from out of town who want to share a room and also work really well for after parties. The pool closes at 11pm, which is a bit of a bummer but I think pretty standard. Also, the bar closes at 6pm, which is somewhat odd. The ceremony venue was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were very nice and accommodating. Jennifer Hoffman, the head of catering, is very on top of things. I only had to ask her to do things once, and everything came together exactly as we had requested. The bell staff are also very nice and accommodating. The only reason that I gave the Orange Tree four stars, rather than five, was that the front desk seemed a bit disorganized. I had asked that we have a room as close to the ceremony venue as possible. They put us in Building 5, which was quite far from the ceremony venue. I had put welcome bags at the front desk for our guests. However, the front desk neglected to give them to five of our guests upon their arrival. These are small details that didn't really detract from the overall experience, but were somewhat surprising given their overall excellent service. I would recommend doing a wedding reception at the Orange Tree Golf Resort to anyone who wants a beautiful outdoor wedding. read more

Andre's review was probably pretty accurate last summer - but a LOT has changed at the Orange Tree since then. The restaurant is closed. Bar is closed. Pool bar is rarely open. Front desk - nice people but kind of clueless. I was there for a conference/meeting for 80 people. They seemed entirely overwhelmed by our large group. Rooms were given extremely late, promises that were made when the meeting was planned were absolutely not kept. The main thing is that there is NOWHERE on site to get a decent meal or a glass of wine. Not my idea of a resort. Our room looked like something out of 1982, even though we were promised all remodeled rooms. The weirdest thing was that the shampoo in the room smelled like bacon. No lie. My roommate and I both were horrified, so we had to pick up shampoo (and wine) at a local CVS. Ordering Domino's for dinner isn't my idea of room service or a resort, either. I will say that the golf did look good, and if the restaurants were open and amenities/service were better, this would be a great place for a wedding. read more

Although the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious, we really didn't like our stay. The property is depressing. It's like a vacant shopping mall where everyone has left. The room was a 15 min walk from the car. With bags we really did need the golf cart of the bell service. The kitchen was not fully outfitted. The course was in miserable shape and I'm not exaggerating because I'm upset with some of the circumstances regarding our day at Orange Tree today. I do not know why we come back here. They open late, just to jam pack a bunch of golfers on both the 1st tee and the 10th. We went off as a twosome to start on the 10th. The two other golfers that were supposed to be playing with us were late so we went off as 2. We played the front nine in an hour and a half, but ran into a bottleneck of foursomes that were playing multiple balls of the 1st tee box. They made us wait 30 minutes before they allowed us to start the second half of our day.. what a joke! Now we get to wait on everyone just to play a course in piss poor shape. I'd say half the greens are even considered "greens". They are more Frankensteined freakish messes half grass half mud than I've ever seen before in my life. I'm not even sure how they can charge regular rates or at least not try to warn their guests before they invest their time and money... BTW.. I got my clubs stolen here last year, just so the club can instantly point out that they are not liable and honestly didn't even really give a shit to be honest... I thought I'd never come back here, but I let a friend talk me into giving Orange Tree another chance.. never again .. we got tired of waiting 10 minutes on every tee box and decided to call it a day after 12 holes.. This place is a joke and poorly managed. read more

An amazing stay! My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we're visiting friends for the holiday being our first time staying care I must say the lobby was a little hard to find first getting here but once we enter the doors we felt welcomed and at home Carly checked us in we were tired from a long trip and it was raining so we really just wanted to get to a room we were not very responsive at first but halfway through the check-in we were surprised with a bottle of wine to celebrate our 25 year anniversary! What a surprise! That was a grand gesture also she said with a big smile " I have the perfect room for you! You're going to love it!" and then she introduced us to our bellman Zack who had us follow him and showed us where to park it was farther away from the room than we thought but he loaded our luggage on his golf cart and drove us to our room even carried our stuff in for us! We weren't expecting all the pampering!! We received a wonderful room with a golf course view right next to the pool which was heated you could see the steam rising and plus a hot tub the room. We had lots of room and we had everything we would have at home even complimentary popcorn and movies! It really was a treat! Only thing there is no laundry machine in the room but there is a complimentary guest laundry room on site. Also no daily housekeeping service but they are on call if you need anything like laundry soap ;) We just called the front desk and they were on top of everything too they respond super fast! I barely hung up the phone and they were at the door with the laundry soap, extra coffee, and some extra fresh towels that I asked for and they even brought us an electric skillet and a crockpot! We were at home! The bellman were great! Colby picked us up the next morning at our room to bring us down to the golf course restaurant for breakfast it's not complimentary and kinda pricy but the view overlooks a pond that has a water fountain! Beautiful morning the weather was gorgeous! We felt like we were celebrities lol. We decided to walk back to our room on the brick walkways overlooking the golf course greens very relaxing we didnt bbq but there are areas to picnic at and benches and a cute book exchange hut. Thank you for an amazing and memorable experience! Really made our stay! Upon departing the bellman picked us up at our room carried our luggage loaded it and drove us from our room to the lobby and waited for us as we checked out Josie at the front desk asked us if we enjoyed our stay and we said "We wish we didnt have to leave!" and we laughed then she said "You will just have to come back and see us again!" Yes! We definitely will! As our bellman drove us to our car and unloaded our things we had an ache in our heart as he waved us goodbye for we felt we made true connections with the people there. We will definitely will be coming back to the Orange Tree Resort! read more

The room was very nice. Loved the jacuzzi tub! Front desk staff and the bell staff were very nice. I stayed midweek for a lower rate. I don't golf, but this was literally THE only hotel, motel or resort with a room available for this week. Twice in one day, I went down to the restaurant. Both times was completely ignored. The first trip down was for lunch. The wait staff kept walking around me. ...not even offered water. I sat for nearly an hour and a half, so I got up and left. My second trip down was around 6 pm. I was handed a menu and seated. At this time, there were only 2 other tables in use out of maybe 25. I sat and wasted another half hour all the while I watched the entire wait staff, the bartender and kitchen crew have an ice fight. Throw lemon and lime wedges at each other, and start spraying each other with the drinks on tap. Again. ...completely ignored, even though I was seated directly in front of them in their direct line of sight. My last day was yesterday. Check out time is 11: 00. I was out on my balcony around 9: 00 enjoying a cup of coffee. About 9:10 I went back in my room to start packing up to go back home. The cleaning lady walked in and started making the bed, while I was outside. I brought this to the attention of the front desk woman when I checked out. All she could tell me is the restaurant is NOT part of the resort, but will bring it to the manager's attention and apologized profusely about my experience. Far too pricey for the lack of genuine customer service. read more

Let's start with check-in. Once you get through the very long process at the front desk, you will be directed to the concierge for your parking pass. At this time, you will be asked for all of your information once again (this is the 3rd time, btw, because you prepaid for this room online where you gave all your information in the first place), to fill out a survey and solicited to buy a timeshare. Uncomfortable. Then you'll be asked to check out the musical instrument museum. When you show zero interest you'll be asked again. You will probably want to get the heck out of there and when you do, Surprise! You get to park... no fewer than 400 steps from your room (yes, we counted). Once you get to the room you will be pleasantly surprised with the space and layout. Upon further review, you'll find all the details that will drive you crazy; a showerhead meant for someone no taller than 5'1", a tv that's old and small and doesn't pivot off the wall, and even smaller (comically small) tv in the bedroom, and the large cabinet in the bathroom that is literally screwed closed. Turn around and see the towels for at the pool with the pleasant reminder that if you misplace one towel you' be charged $25! PER TOWEL! Good news though, you can rent one from the pool area... for $25. How convenient! While the price for the room is fair, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quick, efficient, and honest hotel. Our stay at the Days Inn nearby was significantly better with zero hassle and no awkward time share solicitation! The room was equally as nice but just a smidge smaller. Save yourselves while you can! read more

Very nice course. Classy place, very well kept, nice people working there. The surrounding area is very pretty. They also have a very hi-tech GPS system in the carts which tells the yardage from the hole, a good graphic of the hole, where the carts in front of you are located by distance, plus you can keep score, and contact the pro shop if necessary and even rate the round--very impressive. My only complaint was that they apparently double book the course. They send people off on the front and back nine all day. We played the front 9 as a threesome in about an hour and 40 minutes and then had to wait a half hour to play #10. The back nine played very slow and that did detract from a nice day on a nice course. read more

My husband and I would not stay here again...although the rooms were clean they really needed to be updated. Appliances and all. The shower heads were outdated and much too powerful, not a comfort spray at all. The double paned widows have built in blinds and unfortunately some have dead bugs that will be there until the windows are replaced. Our coffee pot took at least 45 minutes to make coffee on the first day and by the fourth day we gave up and had to ask for a replacement. The kitchen sink faucet needs replacing as well as the built in drawers for clothing. The drawers look like painted over plywood...and would not properly close. The drawers were also chipped and slightly broken in the corners....very, very cheap and hard to close. The fridge is very noisy as well as the air conditioning unit. The iron ruined a good pair of shorts, the Teflon from the iron was chipping and stained the piece of clothing. Our front door was not leveled...the top of the door was at least 3/4 of an inch lower than the frame...we had to stuff the top of the door with a towel to keep bugs or insects out. We were promised that house keeping would be here on a certain day and they never showed up. When warming up water in the microwave, the water had the fragrance of food from the previous people. There is no dishwasher, so the comfort of using dishes from previous people was not a comfort at all....not very sanitary. We purchased all paper products. The pool waterfall tile was very dirty and needed upkeep. Unfortunately some of the staff members didn't speak English which made it difficult to ask for directions at the Resort...we were pointed to the main office. Our Housekeeping staff didn't speak English as well....making it hard to tell them what we needed....I finally gave up and had to walk away. We attended a time share presentation and once the sales person realized that she couldn't match our current time share perks and persuade us to want to trade from our Maui Time Share to Orange Tree's, her attitude changed in a flash. This sales person wore an extremely low cut dress and thought her charm would change our mind....the low cut dress was not very presentable or professional....she needs more training on how to be personable to potential Time Share Buyers. We asked the sales person if she would call their New York Time Share location to see if we were able to trade a week for our time share....(New York is promised but for the past 8 years we have not been able to reserve anything). The sales person immediately said "NO"....but she assured us we would be able to reserve New York from her current Time Share that we could buy into. That was the close of the deal, we were done. I asked the sales person why would I want to trade my time share in Maui for a time share at the Orange Tree Resort that doesn't even compare. On the flip side the front office staff was friendly, the concierge was extremely helpful. We are used to having more than one restaurant and one that stays open late in the evening....also a mini market for food supplies, etc....OTR is lacking in this area. We pay well over 2400 a year for a one week vacation at any destination throughout the world. We actually chose the Orange Tree Resort and realized that we wasted this years Time Share Vacation....too darn disappointing. Orange Tree Resort needs to update the entire resort....and rid the odor of old must. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this to anyone. read more

My wife and I stayed here for a week last year, and we welcomed the opportunity to come back. The room is basically a large studio with a large bath. There are louvered French doors in between the bedroom and the living room, and I just have to be very quiet when I waken since I usually wake up earlier than my wife. But we love the comfortable set up. The shower stall is huge and there is a large Jacuzzi tub which neither of us have yet to use (we do have one at home, after all,) and double sinks and lots of cabinet space in the bathroom. We always get a king bed, and there is not much storage in the bedroom but plenty in the bathroom. Full refrigerator, no dishwasher or washer/dryer, but we knew that, and there is a toaster and coffreemaker and mcrowave. DVD player, Videotape player and flat screen TV in the living room, and many recent DVD movies for free at the front desk. There is an additional smaller flat screen TV on the bedroom wall. Only tihng a litte different here is the parking--you may not park close to your unit, but the front desk is always happy to give you a ride on golf carts whenever you ask. The friendly bellmen take your luggage in for you as you unpack and pack your car. This is a full golf resort, so all of the units look out over the golf course with beautiful picture windows. There is a huge pool and sun deck and spa, very nice and comfortable for many people. Only other negative is their effort to sell you a time share--we're getting a little fed up with that when we get trades or getaways via Interval International, and we do not like being harrassed to do that when we make it clear at check in that we are not interested. In spite of that, we will probably be back a third time, or every year as long as it is available. We love Scottsdale and this is the second year in a row we have driven 2000 miles one-way to enjoy two weeks in the beautiful desert! read more

The best hotel/ resort I have stayed at in Arizona yet. The rooms are like a mini house with a full size couch, and fridge inside. All of the rooms have a private balcony and that was nice. Huge walk in shower with a jacuzzi bathtub. The bed was Tempur-pedic and I never wanted to leave it! The staff were very friendly and nice. I would stay here over and over again. read more

Would have rated higher except for the reception process. After a long flight we checked in and were directed to the concierge to get our parking pass. We were put through the high pressure "sit through our time share talk." Just wanted to get to the room. Had to agree to attend then cancelled just so we could get to our room. The room itself was wonderful and would deserve higher rating if it did not come with the annoying sales pitch. read more

Stayed for two days, had a great experience. Rooms are very clean, staff was amazing. Wish the lounge was open a little later, 8pm closing was to early. read more
