Went to Orbit because they have a Yelp deal - but it only applies to the cheaper wash, which, in my opinion, doesn't do a very good job. I had to go through twice - and the bird poop still didn't come off. The vacuum area is small - and there's usually a wait. I signed up for the monthly program, so have been several times and never have seen an employee here - so if something goes wrong you are stuck. The monthly program only lets you use the basic wash, and like I said, it doesn't work very well. We didn't get all of the washes we had signed up for in one month - and the owner would not credit us. My husband, while using the manual wash, got some mysterious black substance on his hands that wouldn't come off for days. Clearly there was some grease (or who knows what?) on the spray handle. When he called the owner he said, "...It must have been from your car....". WHUH?? Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. read more

I was so excited to try this place out, it is really cute and clean. I started with a vacuum, no complaints here other than they could have been spaced out or located better. I then went to buy a wipe for my dash and the machine ate my money! I went to get a towel (75¢) and the first time I thought I didn't do it right since no towel was dispensed so I tried it again and still nothing. This car wash ate all my quarters! So I proceeded by doing a rinse and blow dry. During the blow dry the nozzle came completely unattached from the hose and ripped my nail off with it. It started out badly but improved a lot. The first time, I entered the wash and it stopped about 15 seconds in. No one was around and I went away dripping soap and mad. Then, I emailed Orbit, and they gave me a code to get a wash. It was for the $10 wash, and I had paid for the $8 wash, so that was a nice perk. A couple of days later I went, used the code, and had my car wash. So, all's well that ends well. I do like the blue and purple soap. The vacuum for $1 is a nice touch, and it works well. read more

Came for a weekly wash and paid for the usually 12$ wash. In retrospect, I went through too fast and the machine denied services. Before I could speak with customer service, the owner, or what appeared to be, ran out and gave me first class service! Excellent place and great service. read more

I went to wash my car last week and the machine took $6.50 of my coins. There was no one on site, so I called Orbit Wash and talked with a customer service person who took my info and said someone would call within 24 hours; no one ever called me. So it looks like I'm out $6.50, which is not a lot of money but I won't return because I don't want to risk losing more money. read more

Used this service twice and have liked it. When staff is on premises, they are friendly. The vacuum cleaner was strong and cleaned well.

Went through the automatic wash. It was a decent price and cleaned my car better than the gas station ones around Sacramento. Watch out tho you have to drive onto this plate and if you don't do that you can time out and you lose your money. So drive onto the plate and take advantage of the spray ahead of time to get your car prepped and you will be fine. read more

The owner kicked me out because he said my car was too dirty. I understand having a dirty car and going through the tunnel because it effects other people following behind you. I was in the self serve washing my own car. I put in $27 to wash my car and he kicks me out because he says my car is too dirty. We'll don't worry buddy, I'm never coming back. No one there at the place to answer questions or help. They should get a vending machine with clothes and all. Otherwise auto wash was okay.

There was no one on site to help answer questions or inform me of their payment options. I took the yelp recommendation that this location accepted credit/atm. THERE IS NO ATM credit use for self wash area (expect to bring quarters or you will be screwed). I came to use the self wash area to scrub fresh bird crap off my car and It was a frustrating experience with no way to scrub it off without stupid quarters. $8 wasted using the auto wash, as there is now bird crap stuck onto the hood, windows, and roof of my car that was blow dried on while exiting the wash. read more

Windshield did not come out clean! Nowhere to park and finish off drying? As a first time visitor, I found the ticket machine confusing - I had a coupon and it took a few tries to complete the purchase (I had to check my bank later to make sure it hadn't charged me twice) Too many signs and instructions everywhere to make it easy and intuitive to run your car through without stressing for a first-timer. I believe I've been to other washes similar to this and its seemed a lot simpler. read more

I use to get my car detailed at a place off Broadway, but after a few subpar experiences, I found this place. The guy who helped me was really nice and full of jokes. He also took his time to make sure I was happy with his work. This isn't one of those places where you have like 5 people working on your car, but they are not as busy as others so the wait time is not bad. If you're not looking for a full detail, they have a self service car wash section as well which I believe might be the only one downtown. Check in on FB and they will give you a free upgrade. Now we just need to get the same perks for us Yelpers. read more

This place is good but it really confuses me. The self-serve carwash is $9 for 11 minutes. It is definitely going to take you at least 11 minutes to wash your car. On the other hand the automatic car wash is only $8. I am definitely going to choose the automatic car wash every time :-) I guess if somebody thought they could do a better job on their own they might want to wash the car themselves but it's hard for me to see why. read more

I absolutely love this place! It is one of the only "do it yourself" car wash in downtown that I know of. They are not 24 hours so be aware. I recommend bringing smaller bills. They have a change machine onsite! If you don't have smaller bills then you can use a credit card. However if you do this then you will have to spend more than the 3 dollar minimum with coins. read more

We have washed our car a few times at this location. Today I went and had my dog with me. Since it is hot, I sat with him on the curb near the planter in the shade while my boyfriend washed our car. My dog was not barking or interrupting anyone. I was asked to leave (I'm assuming by the owner) since cars drive where I was sitting. Strange since there is no parking, vacuums or washing areas near the curb I was resting on and no cars passed my way since I was there. Also strange since they have a dog wash on the premises. I don't plan on returning to this car wash since I was treated poorly and quite embarrassed by the owners actions while being a customer. read more

This is a great place to drive thru your car for cheap. They even have a brush and hose with some green soapy stuff that you can brush out your wheels or some nasty crud that an automatic wash won't normally take care of, before you drive all the way in. Good deal on a car wash and is pretty quick as well. read more

If you want to get ripped off, let me recommend you give this place a try! It's a crapshoot, you never know if ....their machines work, the hoses are connected when you use your credit card to buy time on the exterior self-wash, the dryers charge plenty and try to get the entire front rug swept before it shuts down. This owner is there to rip you off and nothing more. I recall when it first opened..it was pretty decent, but its downhill slide is a sight to behold. I so hacked off I don't even travel the corner where it's located. i prefer to go around so I am not reminded of the many times I've tried this Joint and was RIPPED OFF! read more

Been going to Harv's for several years but lately I've noticed their service has gone WAY down hill. I started looking around and am very excited about Orbit. Awesome price and amazing service. What I like most is I can get the hand wash of the outside for $10 and eliminate the interior cleaning and extra price! We don't have a garage and my dark blue Audi gets really dirty/dusty. I checked in here for a discount on their premium wash - but it turned out to be less of a wash than expected. My car still had dirty patches all over and the vacuums here are not free meaning that I had to use my midtown parking change for a mediocre interior cleaning. After I finished my subpar experience at Orbit, I ended up driving to another wash off Pocket Road just to have it done right for less money. Despite their environmental marketing approach which is cool and all, I probably won't be back. read more

I really liked this place! The owner was working and he was very nice and accommodating. I did the do it yourself wash and was really happy with the results for the price. I will say it was a bit confusing and if the owner wasn't there I wouldn't have known what to do. You pay $7 for 9 minutes (I think) and then spray down, scrub, rinse, and then do a final rinse with the "spot free" water. The only thing I didn't like is there is no way to dry your car. I guess most people bring their own towels but I obviously didn't know any better. I felt a little disappointed leaving a carwash with a soaking wet car but the spot free water really was amazing and after a 2 minute freeway drive it was pretty much fully dry without a single water spot. Also, when I made a comment to the owner it sounds like a drying feature will be added to the wash soon. Will definitely be back! read more

This place is cool. I got kind of confused on how to use the self service area so I just drove my car though the automatic washer. I got a $2.00 off coupon for checking in. It cleaned the car well over all and dryed it ok. Line any other car automatic car wash place the wheels still need manual cleaning for a complete clean. They got vacuums you can use for a charge as well. I didn't see any one there to offer help tho. read more

What a bargain -- $12.95 for a hand-wash including fancy wax, wheels dressed and an air/hand dry. The whole deal took no more than 10 or 15 minutes. Super clean and modern facility, extremely courteous staff. I will return again and again. Fabulous. read more

Twice I've tried this car wash. Twice it ripped off pieces of my car: a wheel fender the first time and then my rear windshield wiper blade. Use the automated car wash at your own risk! I'll be going elsewhere from now on. read more
