Got my driver side mirror ripped off by this car wash they have made me jump through hoops and have given me the run around since may it's the last day of August and still no resolution oh wait the resolution is giving me not even HALF of what my mirror cost when all I'm asking it for the cost of the damage. I really enjoy having a car wash subscription through Gem! I'm often in the area and can run my car through quickly if needed or plan to have a full deep clean with their free vacuuming if time permits. If there is ever a line it goes very quickly and they rinse off my car before it goes through the wash. For the monthly cost I'd say it is well worth it to keep my car staying clean inside and out. read more

went through car wash and experience a multiple system shutdowns. I came out with a flat and while I was waiting for the manager to resolve the problem, there were 2-3 more shutdowns in a span of an hour or so... manager wanted to keep my tire so he could fix it and I'd come back for it later but I denied. he let me know to bring back receipt and he'd cover it, I got a call later saying after watching the camera footage my tire popped due to my after market valve caps and the way I got on the track, but he was the one guiding the cars on the track. supposedly their equipment is not built for after market valve caps. Go to quick quack or mister where this won't happen to you. I appreciate their efforts but I did not accept their payment of free car washes for the value I paid to fix my tire. You could get a free car wash anytime due to their online ads. read more

Was happy to see Gem was finally up and running... so disappointed I had my husband take my car in for a car wash there. We wanted to try it and was disappointed with What was Kelly's ( now Quick Quack) car wash on Pocket Rd since they changed. Well Quick Quack is better. Gem is so automated that there really isn't anyone working. It was a Terrible car wash . My car it still dirty, my windows still have smashed bugs on them. There wasn't anyone there to complain to and ask if it can be run thru the machines again. Won't go back and don't recommend it. Hope they improve their service! read more

I took the "$10 wash for the first month" bait. Its actually not. The machine takes log of your license plate and charges your card $20. When mentioning to the on-site manager, he apologized and said he needed to type in some code to make it $10. The machines do not wash well. The staff member took more gunk off my car during the initial prewash than the machine wash process. Even after 3 washes, the bird poop stain on my windshield is still there. What's worst is after my car fully dries after wash, water marks start to appear because no one actually wipes down the car windows for you. This is still a DIY. Btw, it doesn't matter what different wash packages you choose. They're all the same as the cheapest "classic wash" beside the extra few seconds of blow dry. Quick Quack and Kelly's Car Wash still beats this scam. read more

This is now Gem Express wash. It is very similar to Quick Quack and they also have a monthly car wash plans as well. I just opted it for the one time of the $9 dollar cheapest wash. It got the job then they have vacuums as well to use after the wash, and they have a shade thing, so you won't have to be in the sun. read more

I was a little skeptical when I read the previous posts and saw the low reviews but decided to take a chance. I figured with the $6 check in coupon, it couldn't hurt to give it a try. Plus my car was super filthy after driving in the snow and not having a wash in a couple months. I drove up and asked for pricing as I only expected to do an exterior wash. The attendant was very helpful and explained the difference services. There was about 3 cars ahead of me and my total wait time was about 30 min. They took extra time to vacuum, wipe down and dry my car. I would come here again and recommend you to try it too. read more

Much more thorough than the Quick Quack in midtown and a few dollars cheaper. Attendant took much more care during the preliminary stage. The machine buffing at the end removed almost all water so I didn't have to spend 10. minutes more wiping the car down. They don't provide microfiber cloths that I could see. Beware of broken parts and promises here. I have been delaying this review for sometime waiting to see how they handled my problems. I live in the neighborhood and I've been coming to gem car wash for nearly 12 years. We always tipped well when they had a car wash that actually employed people to do the work. My troubles with Gem began when they sold me a booklet of car washes immediately before they closed down their car wash to renovate without letting me know that. They knew the car wash would be unable to operate and could not honor the booklet of car washes I paid for. I was patient and held onto the book, and when they finally did reopen, I discussed the issue with them, and they agreed to honor the wash tickets. Every time I've tried to use them though the employee seems confused and I usually have to explain the whole ordeal and finally they agree to wash the car but it is not convenient. On a recent wash their new machine broke a piece of my 2020 F250. Of course, they pointed out a sign with very small print listing a multitude of small items on your car that they are not responsible for breaking. I argued the fact with them and the manager, who is a very nice guy, and was trying to help, agreed to take care of the repair. We agreed that I would buy the new part and that he would have it replaced for me. Today I showed up with one of my other vehicles for a car wash and mentioned to him that I had the part and was ready to get it replaced. He then told me the owner does not believe that the part was broken at this car wash, and that he wants to review the camera footage to prove it. Crappy business practices, coupled with insinuating that I'm a liar after being a loyal customer and after promising to repair the damage it is dishonest and just poor character. Despite this being the most convenient car wash and me wanting to support a business in the local community, I will be returning to Quick Quack where I will get paid memberships for the vehicles of my household. I never had any body parts broken at that car wash and it's actually less expensive. read more

I remember going here as a kid and standing on the little platform they had where we could watch the cars getting washed. Gem was always a gem and I had mixed feelings about seeing it get fully automated. Even though I know it can be risky to use the automated car washes (had my bumper torn and damaged a few years back at a gas station auto-wash) I have been using them since the pandemic started and it really gives me peace of mind to not have random people breathing all over the inside of my car and touching everything. I get the cheapest wash and all that new equipment is getting my car nice and clean each time. I also appreciate the power wash dude before the wash is started, so those crusties are blown off before they scratch my paint in the machine. I also really appreciate that there is no hard sale attempt when I pull up to the auto-pay card machine. They have the free vacuums and could suck the chrome off a tailpipe, so to speak. The basic wash is only $10 and includes a wax finish. They are really thorough at spraying your car down before going through the wash. The air pressure and vacuum suction is strong. Really impressed and much better than quick quack imo read more

I have had a terrible experience trying to cancel my membership with these people. Number one I have sent multiple emails with no confirmation email or reply. I even went in person to cancel it and I was met with nothing but a nasty attitude. I would highly recommend quick quack car wash even if it's out of your way because at least they don't give you a hard time if you cancel nor do you have to email them a month and advance you literally can just call them or go in person and they don't give you a hassle Car wash actually cleans cars every time I leave that car wash my car is never properly cleaned. read more

Still charging after manager said my plan was canceled within 7 day cut off why am I being charged and. Boost will anwser phones So many workers for me not to be able to get help workers seem very stand off ish when I signed up I got nothing in my hand to say I signed up was told of I lost the recipient it would be a problem 2 times the vaccum I parked at was clogged which is strange because they usually have 2-3 workers and it's never ever more than 2 cars here As previously stated when I came to cancel the worker the worker told me he was on lunch and couldn't help me i he said he didn't have time to look and see if I was past the 7 day mark then I was told to leave and he would take care of it which was strange he didn't have my name plate number phone number nothing so how was he going to do that? After I pressed him on how he would do it I grabbed a piece of paper wrote my phone number turned it into him and was told to leave he would figure it out I got a call saying it was canceled and if I was charge coke back no email no paperwork nothing just a verbal over the phone Really sucks cause this locations is clean and nice and when the vaccum isn't clogged it's very very strong suction Also the wash mangled my back windshield wiper. read more

This car wash included everything we were looking for and YELP provided us with a $6 off coupon, taking it down to under $20 with tip. Why did we choose this car wash, it was down the street from the smog place and we didn't want to do it ourselves. I was even up for a drive through gas station car wash. What did our car look like? It had just came from 2 nights parked outside at the beach, so it was a bit sandy an salty from the air. Yes, I read the reviews prior to entering. It seems like some low reviews were from people were looking for a place to get a Rolls Royce car wash at a steal. This isn't a 5 star neighbor hood, it's an out of the way place, next to the airport, and down the street from 2 do it yourself car washes, those cinder block places. Non one driven through here has a designer car, nothing high end. This is just a place to get your car washed. This is not a detail shop. I'm happy with my car wash. It was a steal not to have to do it myself. It took less then 20 minutes to do and I got a nice walk across the street to the new Boba place. Yes, I would come back when I'm not in the mood to wash my own car. I love Gym Express Car Wash because the drive thru wash is so sophisticated. It washes your car completely starting from the tires and the whole entire car it also waxes and dries it off completely. I love their vacuums and their blowers which is a big plus. Oh, did I mention the staff they are super nice especially the cute guy with long hair Frank, he is soooooo nice and amazing. Just moved into the neighborhood and needed a place to wash my car. Decided on Gems cause it was nearby despite the yelp and google reviews. Staff was good. I got the works for 29.99 which came with $29.99: Exterior Wash Vacuuming Towel Dried Dashboard Dusted Windows Cleaned Air Fragrance Brake Dust Cleaning Tires Dressed Rainbow Conditioner Clear Coat Conditioner Wheel Guard I was a little disappointed cause there was still water on the windows & doors which I know are going to leave water spots, dashboard was eh, still kinda dusty, the vacuuming was not good, when I got home I was like wow they missed a lot. I laughed cause I can't believe I paid 30$ for that. Also I'm not sure if it was wax or the conditioners that they put bit they left a bunch of wax spots all over the car. I took some photos of the wax on the car cause I don't wanna feel like I'm nitpicking at everything, and I only took on one side of the car and i don't take the inside cause I was like whatever and frustrated but hey definitely not worth 30$.
