I'm often in the area and can run my car through quickly if needed or plan to have a full deep clean with their free vacuuming if time permits. If there is ever a line it goes very quickly and they rinse off my car before it goes through the wash. went through car wash and experience a multiple system shutdowns. I came out with a flat and while I was waiting for the manager to resolve the problem, there were 2-3 more shutdowns in a span of an hour or so... manager wanted to keep my tire so he could fix it and I'd come back for it later but I denied. he let me know to bring back receipt and he'd cover it, I got a call later saying after watching the camera footage my tire popped due to my after market valve caps and the way I got on the track, but he was the one guiding the cars on the track. supposedly their equipment is not built for after market valve caps. Go to quick quack or mister where this won't happen to you. I appreciate their efforts but I did not accept their payment of free car washes for the value I paid to fix my tire. You could get a free car wash anytime due to their online ads. read more

Was happy to see Gem was finally up and running... so disappointed I had my husband take my car in for a car wash there. We wanted to try it and was disappointed with What was Kelly's ( now Quick Quack) car wash on Pocket Rd since they changed. Well Quick Quack is better. Gem is so automated that there really isn't anyone working. It was a Terrible car wash . My car it still dirty, my windows still have smashed bugs on them. There wasn't anyone there to complain to and ask if it can be run thru the machines again. Won't go back and don't recommend it. Hope they improve their service! read more

I took the "$10 wash for the first month" bait. Its actually not. The machine takes log of your license plate and charges your card $20. When mentioning to the on-site manager, he apologized and said he needed to type in some code to make it $10. The machines do not wash well. The staff member took more gunk off my car during the initial prewash than the machine wash process. Even after 3 washes, the bird poop stain on my windshield is still there. What's worst is after my car fully dries after wash, water marks start to appear because no one actually wipes down the car windows for you. This is still a DIY. Btw, it doesn't matter what different wash packages you choose. They're all the same as the cheapest "classic wash" beside the extra few seconds of blow dry. It got the job then they have vacuums as well to use after the wash, and they have a shade thing, so you won't have to be in the sun. read more

Much more thorough than the Quick Quack in midtown and a few dollars cheaper. Attendant took much more care during the preliminary stage. The machine buffing at the end removed almost all water so I didn't have to spend 10. minutes more wiping the car down. They don't provide microfiber cloths that I could see. I was a little skeptical when I read the previous posts and saw the low reviews but decided to take a chance. I figured with the $6 check in coupon, it couldn't hurt to give it a try. Plus my car was super filthy after driving in the snow and not having a wash in a couple months. I drove up and asked for pricing as I only expected to do an exterior wash. The attendant was very helpful and explained the difference services. There was about 3 cars ahead of me and my total wait time was about 30 min. I even went in person to cancel it and I was met with nothing but a nasty attitude. Beware of broken parts and promises here. I have been delaying this review for sometime waiting to see how they handled my problems. I live in the neighborhood and I've been coming to gem car wash for nearly 12 years. We always tipped well when they had a car wash that actually employed people to do the work. My troubles with Gem began when they sold me a booklet of car washes immediately before they closed down their car wash to renovate without letting me know that. They knew the car wash would be unable to operate and could not honor the booklet of car washes I paid for. I was patient and held onto the book, and when they finally did reopen, I discussed the issue with them, and they agreed to honor the wash tickets. Every time I've tried to use them though the employee seems confused and I usually have to explain the whole ordeal and finally they agree to wash the car but it is not convenient. On a recent wash their new machine broke a piece of my 2020 F250. Of course, they pointed out a sign with very small print listing a multitude of small items on your car that they are not responsible for breaking. I argued the fact with them and the manager, who is a very nice guy, and was trying to help, agreed to take care of the repair. We agreed that I would buy the new part and that he would have it replaced for me. Today I showed up with one of my other vehicles for a car wash and mentioned to him that I had the part and was ready to get it replaced. He then told me the owner does not believe that the part was broken at this car wash, and that he wants to review the camera footage to prove it. Crappy business practices, coupled with insinuating that I'm a liar after being a loyal customer and after promising to repair the damage it is dishonest and just poor character. Despite this being the most convenient car wash and me wanting to support a business in the local community, I will be returning to Quick Quack where I will get paid memberships for the vehicles of my household. I remember going here as a kid and standing on the little platform they had where we could watch the cars getting washed. Gem was always a gem and I had mixed feelings about seeing it get fully automated. Even though I know it can be risky to use the automated car washes (had my bumper torn and damaged a few years back at a gas station auto-wash) I have been using them since the pandemic started and it really gives me peace of mind to not have random people breathing all over the inside of my car and touching everything. I get the cheapest wash and all that new equipment is getting my car nice and clean each time. I also appreciate the power wash dude before the wash is started, so those crusties are blown off before they scratch my paint in the machine. I also really appreciate that there is no hard sale attempt when I pull up to the auto-pay card machine. They have the free vacuums and could suck the chrome off a tailpipe, so to speak. This isn't a 5 star neighbor hood, it's an out of the way place, next to the airport, and down the street from 2 do it yourself car washes, those cinder block places. Non one driven through here has a designer car, nothing high end. This is just a place to get your car washed. This is not a detail shop. I'm happy with my car wash. My family and I have been using this carwash for a while, and today I was shocked by significant decline in the quality of wash! I purchased the most expensive wash, ceramic wash, $25) and : 1) gentleman who rinses the car just before entering to the carwash totally ignored the left side of the car and rinsed the right side for a few seconds and sent the car into the carwash 2) I felt that the cycles of washes were much faster than before, foams remained on windshield and side mirrors as well as rear window after the wash 3) the size of microfiber that they provide to customers who purchase ceramic wash/$25 for free, was the half of the size of the towels that they were giving before and practically useless to clean off the mess remained on the car after the wash 4) tried to call the carwash to discuss the above issues with the person in charge, no answer, left a message on their voicemail. Overall, the quality of wash today was very poor today and I think we can receive a better and cleaner car wash with one of those gas stations carwashes with less cost. read more

I used to use QuickQuack but noticed a lot of scratches on my car. I think they used mainly plastic brushes. GEM uses cloth brushes and is far kinder to the finish. In addition, they maintain their drying and vacuum area very well; everything works there. read more

I got the works for 29.99 which came with $29.99: Exterior Wash Vacuuming Towel Dried Dashboard Dusted Windows Cleaned Air Fragrance Brake Dust Cleaning Tires Dressed Rainbow Conditioner Clear Coat Conditioner Wheel Guard I was a little disappointed cause there was still water on the windows & doors which I know are going to leave water spots, dashboard was eh, still kinda dusty, the vacuuming was not good, when I got home I was like wow they missed a lot. I laughed cause I can't believe I paid 30$ for that. Also I'm not sure if it was wax or the conditioners that they put bit they left a bunch of wax spots all over the car. I took some photos of the wax on the car cause I don't wanna feel like I'm nitpicking at everything, and I only took on one side of the car and i don't take the inside cause I was like whatever and frustrated but hey definitely not worth 30$.
