Pros: I give one star for the guy that put the template on the slabs because he matched seams BEAUTIFULLY. Cons: Office communication was horrible. I emailed numerous times about a delay in our countertop coming in and never got a response. Called and she said "I don't know why they didn't ship it." She said she would call back and let me know. A week later, no call. I called again and talked to the owner who was snappy but told me my countertops arrived that morning. At templating, the owner was rude and judgy that we were using IKEA cabinets even though we specifically asked about using them in the show room and were told it would not be a problem. When it came time for installation, no one called to set up the appointment. Just said "we are coming Wednesday". In the end I agreed to the day but scheduling together did not happen. Worst of all, After installation $400 dollars worth of multitools were missing from my kitchen. Emailed the office and surprise... no answer! Also, there are spots of resin all over the countertop that won't come off. Super disappointed. Will never use them again. Also it looks like they burned part of the quartz underneath a seam. Shockingly... no answer from the office about that either. read more

My wife and I went to HD and got a turnkey quote to put a quartz countertop on our island. This was with a 20% off sale on the square foot price of the quartz. We thought we owed ourselves a second bid from a company that actually does the whole job themselves, so we went online and found a few places and decided to contact Orca Granite and Stone. Long story short, we went with Orca and paid the same as if we'd gone with HD without the sale. They sent us to a distributor in Kent to pick out our slab. This was easy and once we found the one we liked, we got the slab # and batch# and gave this info to Orca. Not every batch is identical. Once Orca got the slab to their shop, we came and selected the portion of the slab we wanted for our counter and where we wanted the sink to be placed. Had we gone with HD, we would not have been able to see the slab or choose the portion for our island and where to place the sink. This was an expensive upgrade to our kitchen and not having any surprises was worth losing the 20% off the actual Quartz, but there is no discount for all the extra add ons at HD. So I don't know what the HD experience would have been and it doesn't matter. My wife and I found this experience to be painless. We met and worked with Stephanie, Mr. White/owner, Ryan, Christopher and Richard and another fellow that I can't remember his name. Everyone, so, easy to work with. The installation day came within three weeks of our contacting Orca. The installation was done by Christopher, Richard and Ryan. From the door to the island and all around it, they laid moving quilts down. They removed to old sink and counter and replaced it with a beautiful customized 8 x 4.5 foot countertop and installed a brand new sink. They did such a good job and when they left, there was ZERO cleanup. If you want no surprises and a pleasant/seamless experience, you'll find it working with Orca Granite & Stone!!!!! After selecting our stone and putting a deposit down on them. I was notified that the ball was drop and the purchase of the slabs wasn't made in time before the hold expired. So MSI released the slabs back inti the inventory and we're sold. When owner of the Company Mr Hoyt came out to do the finial measurement and templates. He left glue all our new cabinets While making the templates Mr Hoyt discussed with my wife where the Seam placement would be. MSI found new slabs in Texas however when they arrived to the fabrication shop. They were damage beyond repair. When my wife dropped the sink for the sink cut out. She asked about the new slabs. Well she was lied too and was they arrived and was being cut out on that day. When I called the to ask the office a question and hour later. I found that the slabs were damage during transport. So days before our counter tops were supposed to be installed we were searching for new slabs. When the installers showed up and began installing the counter tops I notice the the seam at the very end of our cabinets leaving only a 24" remaining to be installed. We we're told the that the seam would be smooth and not noticeable. That was a lie. There is a noticeable lip where both seam are. When I called and asked about the seam placement. They stated that I signed a disclaimer allow Orca to choose my seam placement. I never signed anything!! When Mr Hoyt called me his solution was to have the installers pack everything up and refund my money leaving me no kitchen. Mr. Hoyt then called his installers and had a discussion. We we're able to work out somewhat of and agreement. So the installers continued working. When they go to my 9 inch cabinet. I notice the counter was cut to small not covering my cabinet. This wasn't the installers fault. This was the Fab shops fault. But I had a nice 27"x35" piece of slab left over. And I only needed 24"x 25" piece to finish a small project in my laundry room. So they took when they took my big piece to cut another 9 1/4" counter top. I thought I would get the reminder of my big piece back with 9"1/4 missing. Nope I was wrong they brought my piece back in little strips l. They ruined the piece I was going to use In my laundry room. for no reason. It almost looked like they did it intentional. This company has horrible customer service from the owner to it employees and horrible communication between everyone. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. read more

I checked out a couple of places before making this major purchase and decided I liked Orca's knowledge and experience. Stephanie knew her stuff and didn't add "extras" on to the bid, like some other companies did. The entire process from bid to done was less than 2 weeks! I put off doing these for 28 years because of what I perceived to be losing my kitchen, but it was pretty painless and we LOVE our new quartz countertops!!! These guys are fantastic! Lyle carefully measured where the countertops went and they fit PERFECTLY. Lyle even did a major scramble when the sink I had purchased didn't fit. He got us one that did. Very professional. The guys were very careful with the largest piece and patient as we had to move items for them to get it into the kitchen. I highly recommend them. Even when I thought they had accidentally taken my tape measure, Lyle showed up at my door with a beautiful new one. That's service! read more

I came here because I wanted quality. And thats what the sales lady said they had thus their higher prices. Sales floor people were great to work with. Selection was good. However the negatives began when the owner came to do the template. He knocked on my door, I opened it and greeted him, then he just kind of nodded with a stank face walked passed me and helped himself to my kitchen without really saying anything. He Completely disregarded the common courtesy of being in someone else's domain. I dont allow shoes inside. He didnt even bother to ask or notice all the shoes by the front door. I was kind of awe struck by his rude demeanor but i bit my tongue and just let it be and didn't say anything. I needed my countertops done. Seriously, I was seconds away to blowing up telling him to get out of my house with his disrespect. But remember this is orca better quality right? Where else are you going to go for high "quality". So I let it all slide and let him do his thing. Fast forward a week or so later. I was excited for the install. The crew came on time, all smiles, respectful. Great communication. However when they put the countertops on by no fault of them the quartz was cut a$$hole backwards from the very clear instruction and measurements that I worked out in the sales room including a drawing. The owner the one who cuts it put the overhang for a bar on the wrong side! I was pist! The installation crew felt bad, but I knew it wasn't their fault at all. I wasnt mad at them. They didnt know. They dont do the cutting they just install whats giving to them. I told them to take it all back , I need the correct cut. When the crew called the owner with the bad news, he had the Audacity to say it will be $1,000 more to correct it because i will have to buy another slab. WTF?! I didnt agree and had them stop and cancel my order. The crew left and where going to come back the next day for removal. On they way back they talked to the owner again and the owner made me a deal to take $1,000 off my order. I thought about it and at the time it seemed to be enough to just except what I had even though it looked a little weird and not what I wanted, but $1000 is a lot of money. So now I sit every day and see My weird overhang on my bar and I regret excepting that deal everyday I see it. I should have ended my business with them the day the owner came to do the template. I think people should know. Higher price doesn't necessarily mean better quality. Ill never do business with them again and ill never recommend them to anyone. The only reason they have 2 stars, one for the sales floor people, and the other for the installation crew I liked those guys. read more

I think if we were not in regular cloths and were in a suit and tie we might have been welcomed a bit better. Listen up folks, you do not have to be treated this way. Plenty of competition out there. If you need granite cut, don't EVER go through Orca Granite!!! I had a piece that I needed trimmed and two holes drilled into(that was over $80!)...They messed up the cut(all they had to do was cut along the kindergarten lines I drew), and didn't get back to me for over a week. The main guy, Hoyt, came out and did a template but that was weeks ago. He's never there when I call, they don't return my calls OR emails...and we don't have a bathroom sink until they replace the piece for our Damn counter! Just an FYI...Don't use Orca!!! read more

He met me for the slab pick out and helped me make a great choice based on the look we were going for and our cabinets. Corrine at the office was amazing to work with from questions to scheduling. We had a very large and complex job, full of tight fits in tricky places, waterfalls, etc. The sales team was easy to work with, responsive, nice, and flexible with all of our scope additions and adjustments until we got to the final layout. Slab selection was easy (we went with granite). The templating was done well, though I'd have liked to have had the chance to review seam locations and to ensure I got the small overhang I had wanted on my island. There was a bit of disconnect along the way between the schedulers and installers regarding the amount of time they would need, so our job extended a few weeks beyond what we had planned. However, Orca proactively offered us a very nice discount at the end of the job because of the length of the installation. Yes, there were a few bumps, but they remained committed to serving our needs, and the waterfalls were executed beautifully with mitred edges and continuous patterning. read more

We are in the process of remodeling our floors and kitchen. The flooring company as well as countertop wholesaler we are working with recommended this company. My wife reached out to get a quote and had 2 conversations with 2 different women. Both of which were not helpful AT ALL. The First Lady that answered our call couldn't seem to understand that we were calling only to schedule a quote. We couldn't understand why she proceeded to ask us for measurements and sketches of our kitchen. Until she transferred us to a second lady that asked us for the and thing. Isn't obtaining measurements and drawings part of the quoting/estimating process?? Is far off to assume that this is the experts job?? She for some reason, decided to tell us that if we are looking for someone that has a cheap price point, they are not the company for us. Keep in mind, we have only voiced that we are calling for a quote at this point. This lady "Stephanie" also told us that because we are going with a natural stone, it is standard procedure to have the homeowner sign an agreement that if anything happens to the stone during install, Orca is not liable for any damages. What kind of homeowner would sign any type of agreement like that?? I am a contractor in a different field and I would never allow any of my employees talk to my customers/clients like this. I would NOT recommend doing business with this establishment. Obviously, we are not getting a bid after spending 15 minutes on the phone being told why we aren't worthy of their business LOL. Good customer service is a hard thing to find these days. To be fair, I gave them 1 STAR because I can't comment of their work. read more

Orca was professional, personal, and thorough. They helped me pick a slab at a price that fit my budget. The owner included me as a part of the process all the way. The warehouse sent two stones that were not together, they immediately picked up on the error and worked with the warehouse to fix the problem. While they could have cut the stone that was of the same name and didn't match, they did the right thing. They have great equipment that does a quality job at cutting. Don't buy granite or stone from anyone else!!! Fast, courteous service. Pays particular attention to detail when choosing the stone to installing it. I have seen many installations with a seam in front of the kitchen sink....when I mentioned my concern that I thought that was ugly, the owner said they don't do that anyway! Where there was a seam it showed a bit..was ok by me but not this company! they took out the 2 pieces and replaced with one big slab. The owner said he wouldn't have it in his house so he wouldn't leave it in mine. AND all the fitting and grinding was off site so no noise or mess. It's the only business I will call for any granite or stone!!! read more
