Everyone has been really great to work with. May 2024 - I finally scheduled our annual maintenance. They sent James out. He was fantastic. A wealth of knowledge, polite and professional. I signed up for the annual maintenance plan to save money. He made good recommendations based on my needs and concerns of my allergies. Much appreciated! 2026 update - our heat pump stopped working and needed replacement parts. I paid for them to send a tech to diagnose it and they followed through with the work which is under the 10-year warranty. Tech, Hagen was very nice and professional and made sure to answer all of my questions. Kudos to the office staff, Brittny, Erin and everyone who took my calls while I was eagerly waiting for parts & repair. They treated me very kindly and proactively communicated each step of the way. I hope that this fix lasts a long time, or at least until we upgrade to a newer, more environmentally friendly unit.

The salesman from CM Heating came out to quote a new heat pump and furnace. That same night, our…read morefurnace stopped working completely. I had to call them five times before they finally sent someone. Turns out the salesman hadn't secured the door properly, so the safety switch never engaged -- a super easy fix. We had a cold night with small kids in the house and they showed zero urgency fixing a problem they caused. Their quote was also the highest I got. I don't blame the salesman for the mistake, but the company doesn't stand behind their work at all. I'd never use them again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

While I had been a satisfied customer with Seatown, even going so far as to become a member of…read moretheir services, my desire to use them for home repairs disappeared almost instantly after a recent quote I got from them. I need to have my sewer relined. This is not a shock. Everyone on our block does, just the age of the pipes. Seatown, being a member, was my first call. The technician who came to investigate the scenario came back to my front door remarkably shortly after I left him at the entry point to investigate. He succinctly told me that the pipe was "completely blocked" with roots and they would have to hydrojet before they could get an idea if it could be repaired. Not one... not two... THREE other companies came to quote the job and scoped with zero problem, showing me the video that demonstrated without a doubt that Seatown was lying to me, straight to my face, for which I was actually paying them as a member. I reported this to the company. To this day, over a week later, I have yet to hear from any supposed manager (despite this being directly promised in what seems like the empty apology now) about this glaring error in customer service nor has the refund for my membership, which they agreed to refund, appeared yet in my account. I wonder now how much I overpaid for the projects that I used Seatown for, considering their hydrojetting was $1,400 dollars more than the quotes that I was seeing from these other companies. Recently, I heard that Seatown had been acquired by Service Champions and it appears this is another case of when a company starts to care about profits more than service after their acquisition. While I used to recommend them to my friends & neighbors, I now will tell folks to stay away from Seatown unless they like wondering if they are being told the truth and paying too much for services they could get cheaper and done just as well elsewhere.

Their management showed zero remorse, took no responsibility, and treated us like an inconvenience throughout the whole process. We hired Jane's to replace our boiler and hot water heater with a combi-boiler. Before the install, both floors of our heating system were fully functional--we only needed a replacement because the old boiler had started leaking. Instead, after a rushed one-day job, our main floor heat stopped working. They left a mess, and Walter, the technician, wasn't given any time to ensure the system was operational before leaving. For months, they made multiple visits, but each time, they rushed out without confirming if their fixes worked because Walter was never scheduled enough time. Eventually, they shifted blame to a manifold they hadn't touched, demanding $2K+ for a custom replacement that did nothing to solve the problem. After more impromptu visits - some late at night - they finally fixed the issue by modifying their own faulty design, yet they never followed up to confirm everything was working. Their management made us feel like every issue was our fault. No accountability. No recourse. Just demands for more money. The only employees who seemed to care were Walter and Louise. Jane's broke our working system, charged us more to "fix" things that weren't broken, and left us in the cold for months. Easily the worst contractor experience we've ever had.
