I love getting my pedicures at Orchid Nails. I've been getting monthly pedicures for almost 30 years now, and I have been coming here since I moved to Tarpon Springs four years ago. I've been to fancy spas (expensive), local small salons and everything in between and I can tell you, this is one of the best I have ever been to. There are a lot of choices in the Tampa Bay area and this is the place that I choose. The prices are competitive and the quality of the service is as good if not better at times than some of the expensive places I have gone to. Didn't make an appointment just walked in and was welcomed by a lovely lady. I explained what I wanted, acrylic infills and gel polish. A young lady called Nancy was assigned to me and did an absolutely wonderful job. She took the time ensuring I was happy at every step. Manager letting the customers get what they pay for!! I paid double for a half of an appointment. (It was to include Volcano treatment) Rushed too much. Lady beside me paid 35 and was there before me and after me. I paid 55 (plus tip) and did not receive even equal to her 35 pedicure. Employees are great!! Just need a better manager. read more

I've been going to this nail salon since I moved to Tarpon Springs! They have never disappointed me. They offer all sorts of nail services, and waxings. Their prices are reasonable and everyone I have encountered has been nice an attentive. If you come on a weekend, come early when they open. It does tend to get packed quick. Make an appt if you can, but the do take walk ins. Parking is out front. This is in the same shopping center were Winn-Dixie is, and it's next to Dunkin Donuts. read more

So every though I had a great first experience. Unfortunately the polish only lasted about 5 days for a gel manicure and gel pedicure. (Which should last "2 weeks" ) the polish began to peel by the cuticles and on some nails completely peeled off. I mean I know I'm on vacation and at the beach. Had my fingernails done as a UV Gel fill that is advertised on their sign in the shop as $45. They charged an additional $15 for the nail polish..... apparently Gel polish os not included in UV Gel manicure???? Seams like false advertising. Last time I went they charged extra to have your cuticles trimmed..... This is also is not listed on their sign in their shop. Be prepared to have up charges added on.. read more

I have back problems and needed a pedicure. The lady was harsh and made my toe nails bleed. I have been getting my nails cut for 20 years and have bleed only once or twice. Well I have stayed away from "nail and spa" salons for a reason. And this just reinforced it. I called in the morning and set a 1pm time for 3 people. My husband and I were going to a wedding the next day and as Portlanders we have pale white legs and unattended winter feet. My husband and aunt were seen immediately. No one did my pedicure until they were both completely done. So I got the shortest and least quality of the three of us. My water was cold. Then ice cold as she didn't allow me to get a fresh new water when she added water to it. Though none of us got great quality. I have to keep asking nails be trimmed so they were equal lengths. And my husband's toe nails looked awful. Like the sharp corners weren't even filed off. Total waste of money. If I lived here I would never come back but I no for sure living in OR I'll never ever return here. Horrible customer service and poor service for what they offer. I don't think I've had a worse pedicure ever. I only gave two stars because all of the women were very nice. They were just awful at their jobs. read more

I went into the salon with long natural nails having acrylic overlay. I was talked by into powder dip which has not held up. after 3 days the top host is peeking and discolored. I told the tech to keep my nails the same length and shake however after leaving I noticed some were noticeably shorter than others and the shapes are inconsistent. I am very disappointed and feel like this was a waste of money and time. I am upset they my natural nails have been shortened after telling them to leave the length. read more

I went to them once before for acrylics and my nails were strong. not one broke. however after having this current set on for 4 days i've had two nails break on me, one was when i opened a drawer to my dresser my nail hit it and broke instantly (it didn't even hurt my finger) the second i was simply using the ladies room and it broke. When i went in they made me pay for my nails to be fixed. keep in mind this is only 4 days after i payed $60 for my full set! very upset and will be looking for a new nail salon. my old nail salon used to just fix the nail if it broke within a week. Every two to three weeks for nearly a year...the convenience of this neighborhood nail spa just couldn't keep me...though I really tried. My favorite tech, Lena left mid summer. Tried to get past the crabby first chair...tried to endure the rushed feeling of a pressured staff...tried to gpast the endless second language banter. Just not comfortable anymore. My last pedicure produced small scabs from the rough treatment. These professionals should be much more sensitive to older patrons thinning skin. And the manicure tech acted as though she was doing me a favor by just being there...so rude. I should have walked out. read more

I've come here well over 6 times now and I am satisfied with the service I have received. I have noticed that when other customers come in with a sour attitude many of the staff, including other customers, can tell they are going to have to deal with a difficult personality. I found that with a little patience and understanding the service can be good and less stressful . The reason I give this a four is mostly due to the language barrier, but that can be overcome without problem and anger, in my opinion. I can see that these ladies are trying to give good service. But seriously the salon is nice and spacious, lots of color options, spa packages with services you actually want, decent prices, and the best massages ever. However the shellac did begin to peel after 2 weeks so I might suggest a better brand to them. that's my only gripe, but all shellac seems to do that on my nails- no joke, don't know why I keep trying. read more

Today I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and the lady from the front desk with the glasses and long hair took me back to their room. She spent all of 3 minutes doing them and barely showed me the finished product. When I got home I looked in the mirror and I saw that about a quarter of my left eyebrow was completely removed. On top of that she made them very thin and almost like straight lines. Would not recommend this place for anyone getting any waxing done. I've gone here multiple times for manicures and pedicures and have always been treated great and had good results. This was very disappointing and I will not be returning. I came here with two other friends and we all had an absolutely horrible time. First off we made an appointment for 11:30 and called in 30 minutes in advanced and we had to wait 30-45 minutes to be seated and they never apologized for it. Also this place is such a scam. They won't tell you your finale total until you're done and it always ends up being more than expected. Their card machine broke and wouldn't except my card and how I was treated was indescribable. They were blaming everything on me and kept telling me with a harsh tone "This isn't my responsibility and it's not my money it's yours". They were so disrespectful to me and finally I was forced to have my friend pay for me and even then the lady painting my nails took another client and started on her acrylics and wouldn't seat me. Finally after they put both my friends through extreme pain to put on their acrylics(which I'm not exaggerating they both bleed). They actually ripped off one of my friends acrylics so she would have to pay more. Then I had to remind them to finish painting my nails. They rushed through them and we're still being very rude and harsh and I'm am so disappointed that I payed for something that I could have done at home. They are so sloppy and messy and even how they applied the powder acrylics look very short and stubby. Then when we came to check out they charged us extra for having longer nails but we were just getting them filled so the length shouldn't have been an issue also this was never discussed with us and as mentioned before since they ripped off one of my friends acrylics they charged us another three dollars for it. Then just so coincidently got a little sweeter when it came time to tip. We gave them nothing. I strongly recommend to never come here.
