Three stars for trying. I tried my regular nail spot in Benicia but they were booked. So I decided to try Orchid bc it was closer to my house. I called ahead, and they had availability. Cool. No hour wait. Facility was clean, more workers than customers and I was able to use the restroom, also clean. I get seated, and my feet go into cool water. Not luke warm. But more cold. I look up at the tv, and the news was on. An odd choice for relaxing, but okay. Then I choose the Ice Dancer Pedicure for $42. Unfortunately, this would be the most mediocre pedicure I've experienced. Though the technician was thorough, my feet spent more time outside of the water. The sugar scrub, felt like a body wash. I enjoy a really course scrub most places offer. Foot message was good, the peppermint masque was enjoyable. After I was painted, I thanked the technician and she went to the back. I looked around the room, and another customer sitting a few chairs away was getting her toes and nails done, the technicians very engaged. I saw three other technicians sitting off to the back watching their phones. I kept an eye on the time, and was ready to get out of there after letting my toes dry for 10 mins after the hour pedicure. I decided to start moving and put my own flip flops on, which I messed up my right toe. Someone finally came over to help, and fixed the big toe, but they were so focused on that one, there was still excess left on the one next to it. I was able to pay with card and only left a $5 tip. That pedicure felt more like $35. This place needs to up their game if they want more business. read more

Great service! Pleasantly surprised as a walk in because it can be 50/50 and unsure of what service you'll get. I went in on a quiet morning as a walk-in. I was unsure of the color, style, etc of what I wanted. I knew I wanted a full set and a pedicure since it's been such a long time (recently had a baby and did not go at all while pregnant and haven't done at all postpartum). I typically go to the East Bay but really wanted to find a place in Vallejo since this is where I live now. I was greeted by a few ladies and JinNie (pronounced Jenny) did my full set, and Paula worked on cleaning my feet and toes for prep for my pedicure. JinNie was understanding that I was unsure and suggested Cat eye which I've never done before so why not. And I typically do coffin shape but since I have a young baby I went with almond to make sure I don't scratch him. JinNie completed my set fairly quickly maybe within an hour. Paula was finishing up the prep on my feet when she told me the paint job would be handled by Philip. I was thrown off at first but it made sense that her expertise with the cleaning and care while his was the precision with painting. 1) i love my full set. Very cute and something Different. Ans JinNie was very pleasant to talk to. 2) I absolutely loved the time and care Paula took to cleaning all the dead skin around my toes and getting the gunk out. I have ingrown and it's quite uncomfortable and hard for me to fully clean myself. I was amazed at how well she did 3) love the way my toes turned out too so thanks Philip! Side note: thy prefer cash so come with enough cash, or you can use the atm in the salon. I brought some but not enough so I ended up using the atm for a $2 fee read more

If there is something you don't like, speak up & talk to the owner. The woman is always happy to fix something if I didn't like a techs job (which only happened once). It's a business, people will come and go with work/experience . I know my go to techs and I love them. I love the epoch products they have available for sale, the vibe as of recently is much more peaceful due to new staff. Nail salon is always clean and in order. So, here it goes a negative review about a business and the services provided to a consumer. I did a walk-in last Wednesday about 6:15pm or so. I asked for a fill Tanya assisted me. The work was just sloppy in short and by Saturday my nails started lifting. And all I have is on overlay on them and there not very long. I went back today which is 6/14/2019 at 11:30am and a lady by the name of Susan and I asked to have them fixed and she kept saying that I need to have Tanya since she messed them up. And I told her that I really don't want her doing my nails anymore. And she told me to come back in 2 hours. So, I did which that made it 1:30pm all to be ignored when I walked in to the place. I stood for about 3 or 4 minutes and then sat down and walked out. You know it's business such as this one that don't have longevity. And I won't ever go back this shop. Wow there is a lady in here who must be new or possibly not even be licensed! She does NOT know how to do a full set. First, when setting the tips on with the glue, she could not align it straight enough and kept ripping it back off and putting it back on until she got it right, which damaged my real nail. Then, when she's putting the gel or whatever it is on my nail, she put it on so thick and didn't bother swiping off the excess while it was still wet, then once it dried she was saying some thing about the heat inside making everything dry fast and she kept laughing. What hurts the most is that people like me spend our hard earned money and it's not like I even get my nails done often like other women, so when I want my nails done I'm expecting some kind of quality. I wish she would've told me that she was new, because then I would've asked for a different nail tech. *WAXING SERVICE ONLY REVIEW* I came here for the first time to have a waxing service. I called around 1:50pm and made an appointment for 2:30pm. I arrived early to my appointment by 20 mins. They were able to accommodate my waxing service 10 mins before my scheduled appointment time. All of the staff were nice and the establishment was very clean. Then why 3 stars? I received a Brazilian waxing service ($45, which is a very reasonable price). The cloth strip pieces they use for hair removal are very small compared to other places I been, and since the waxing strips are smaller (they use the size usually used for brow), then you feel pain more often because you have to go in more times. I am not sure if it was the size of the strip, the material of the strip, or the wax they use but many areas had to be waxed over 4-5 times in the same spot. I have never had that happen to me before. Also, I had to assist by holding my skin taught while being waxed. In the end, I had about 10 or so hairs left after the service was done. I would probably not come back for waxing because I want to go through the least amount of pain possible and it was difficult to be waxed on the same areas multiple times. I would like to add that Susan was very friendly and made me comfortable to be around for this type of service. We were able to converse comfortably. I would come back to try the nail services with her and see how the quality is. PRO: Susan used a mask and gloves during the waxing service. CON: They do not allow you to add the tip amount onto your card. I have never had a problem with this at other nail salons before. read more

Con. Got my eyebrows done by a lady claiming she had been doing this for 20+ years. She didn't once ask how I liked my eyebrows I had to tell her once she started. My eyebrows came out horrible and I let her know i didnt like them and that they were plain no arch no shape jus ugly. She fought with me and said my eyebrows were unable to have an arch. So i pulled out my phome and showed her pics of my eyebrows before her and she went on to say well why dont u jus go to that lady then? Like really? You're supposed to be professional here. She didnt even ask if she could dock some of the cost or give me a free eyebrow or anything all she said was its 10$ plus 1$ fee for card.... Horrible customer service and bedside manner here. Ok, I am at a lost for words but I have a few for this place. POOR SERVICE, POOR TALENT, OVERPRICED. My sister and I decided to try this place again. We got the same ladies - I got Paola and she got the older laughing lady. Well, the "laughing lady" originally was gonna work on me but decided to change after laughing at me for having ingrown nail/skin. Mind you, this is a medical condition, hence this is why I get pedicure to prevent overgrowth. Anyway, Paola was ok - she was really focused on cleaning, but my poor sister ended up with the laughing lady. She kept cutting above her nail line and went too deep causing her to bleed (just like before). Both did NOT know how to paint. The owner (pregnant lady) started to paint my sisters nail until another customer came in. Again, the result was ugly. So we didn't think they deserve a big tip - we still gave them a tip and which she laughed at her. Anyway, the overall experience was 1 star and we will NOT be spending anymore money there. read more

This place is so horrible! My niece went to get her nails done there with her friend who's getting married and not only did her nails get messed up but THE BRIDES nails broke also! Let me break this whole fiasco down for you: my niece goes in and requests to get coffin nails done, easy enough right? Apparently not. My nieces nails looked like my two year old did them. They looked like coughed on nails instead of coffin nails. So naturally I call and tell them that these nails to be fixed to which they obliged until we actually go there and they were giving us attitude as I am looking at each and every nail to make sure they are done right. Every time I noticed an issue, the lady slammed down her tool to "fix" the nail. In the end we ended up leaving with the nails looking better but not perfect. Now for the brides nails: 30 minutes after we leave this "nail salon" my niece gets a text from the bride where the nail is broken at the place where the extension was supposedly glued to the nail. With her getting married TOMORROW there is no time to go to get the nail fixed, so super glue it is. I don't understand how this salon is okay with letting people walk out of their salon with not only shitty nails but nails that aren't even glued right! Went here last week for my first time. Overall the nail technician did a good job on my services. She made sure I had something to drink and offered more when I was out which was nice. I received a message from Daniel that said to come in and he would give me a discount to try them out and I'm glad that I did. I didn't get the name of the person who did my nails unfortunately, but she did a good job. She took her time on my nails with both the manicure and pedicure. They only offer 1 type of "spa pedicure" which was a regular pedicure with the paraffin wax. I wish they would broaden their horizons more with choices for pedicures. I enjoy splurging on my feet to get fully relaxed and I couldn't do that here unfortunately. Anyways, she did a good job on getting my ingrown nails on my large toes- however one of them was in pain for 2 days before it calmed down from the removal but now my toes feel better overall from this. As for the decor it is very plain looking inside, however they are fairly new so I hope they add more things to make it feel more like a spa. The people that were there that day were kind.
