I found Paccasco Nails because I haven't been able to find a nail salon in Vallejo that I really enjoy, so I decided to give them a try today. I came in for a Gel-X set with Sophia, the owner, and I actually really love how my nails turned out! She was very thorough and consistently checked in with me throughout the service to make sure I liked the shape and everything else. I really appreciated that attention to detail. The only small thing was that she showed me a drink menu but never brought me my Sprite -- not a big deal since I always carry water with me anyway. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with my pedicure. I got the deluxe pedicure with regular polish because I like changing my toe color every couple of weeks when I get my nail fills. My technician was a soft-spoken short guy with an earring who spoke very good English and was nice, so this isn't about his personality at all. The issue was the finished product. I had acrylic on both big toes because I had chipped the corners. While removing my old gel polish, it seemed like he may have filed too much causing the acrylic on one of my toes to became damaged. Instead of letting me know and asking whether I wanted it repaired, he continued my service and then polished. I noticed there was a weird gap, but I didn't say anything at first because I assumed he would address it before finishing. Unfortunately, he went ahead and applied the top coat. Once I finally pointed it out, he told me the acrylic was cracked and that I could have it fixed next time. He then asked, "Is that why you got regular polish?" Honestly, I didn't understand the relevance of that question. As a former nail tech, I know regular polish vs. gel polish has nothing to do with whether broken acrylic should be addressed. Gel polish would not have fixed or covered the broken acrylic . If the acrylic was damaged during the removal process, I would have appreciated being informed right away and given the option to repair it. Also, the deluxe pedicure includes paraffin wax, which was initially forgotten. I mentioned it, and he did give me a $5 discount, so I appreciate that he tried to make it right. Overall, I really like how my Gel-X nails turned out and Sophia did a great job. Unfortunately, I hate how my toes turned out, and that's what left me disappointed with the overall experience. I don't think the technician was intentionally careless--he was very nice--but I do think he needs more training and attention to detail, and especially how he talks to customers. I would consider coming back for another Gel-X set with Sophia, but I would probably choose a different technician for my pedicure next time. read more

There is plenty of parking, you can make a reservation ahead of time and then check in on the iPad. They serve complimentary drinks when you get your nails done, mimosas and wine for 21+, water, tea, coffee, sodas. What salon offers that without an extra charge? This salon is pretty up to date and modern, they have a TV, very comfortable chairs and it's a very relaxing time. You can make a payment either by credit card, cash, Venmo, and even zelle! I always go for dip nails and gel pedicures which can last me a long time. I went to the UPS store today and saw a new nail salon. I have not been happy with the salon I was going to so I made an appointment for a pedicure. I was pleasantly surprised at what a great experience I had. I used to go to another place in Benicia and paid a lot for a gel pedi that was just ok. At Picasso I got a wonderful pedi with hot stone massage, a foot massage, warm wax treatment and a scrub. Also, my toes look gorgeous and I paid half of what I paid at the other salon. Henry is so nice to everyone, offering beverages and making sure every customer is happy with their services. My manicurist name is Kathy and she gives a great foot massage, I almost fell asleep. Very disappointed with my experience. I requested a dip powder manicure, but a gel layer and gel top coat was applied and I'm still not sure why. The shaping was uneven and poorly executed, and the finish began wrinkling and shifting the same afternoon because the layer under the top coat wasn't cured. The quality was so poor that I had to visit another nail salon today to have the manicure corrected. A professional manicure should last more than a few hours and certainly shouldn't require paying another salon to fix it. read more

I've been a regular customer here and always had good experiences, until my last visit. I tried to use a gift card I received for my birthday, but the system showed it had already been used, on a day I was actually at work, 11 days before my visit. I hadn't had my nails done in 4+ weeks (my nail growth confirmed that), so there's no way I used it myself. The staff didn't seem to believe me and wouldn't accept the gift card. When it came time to pay, I was asked to send payment through Zelle and wasn't allowed to leave until I did. It felt less like a misunderstanding and more like I was being treated as if I was trying to scam them...when really, I feel like I'm the one who was let down by a gift card system that didn't work as promised. I'm disappointed because I liked coming here, but I won't be returning after this experience. Update: After posting this review, the new owner reached out, found my gift card, and refunded the $70. I appreciate that they made it right. That said, I'm leaving this review because of how the situation was handled in the moment...I wasn't believed when I explained the gift card wasn't used by me, and I was asked to wait while a Zelle payment went through before I could go, which felt uncomfortable given the circumstances. It was the roughest and most minimal manicure-pedicure I have ever received in 50 years. There was almost NO service other than washing feet and soaking hands. No critical trim, no cleaning under nails, and hardly 5 seconds spent of filling my nails, and the filling took my nails down to the quick. NO care was given. The polish was applied so fast I couldn't tell if anything had been done at all. The man who provided this poor excuse for a service was so rough that I had to pull away many times. Although I asked for gentleness he never changed his delivery. Other than the lovely environment no other favorable reviews can be given! FOR this, I was charged $80 before tip. I normally don't write reviews, but I'm disappointed with my recent visit. The technician didn't properly smooth and even out the nails from the nail beds, leaving them thick near the base. This can cause them to snag as they grow, and I could also see a dark line around the nail bed because it wasn't cleaned properly. When I mentioned it, the staff member became defensive and kept saying, "How would you know your nails haven't grown yet?" But I can tell -- the product was left thick near the nail bed and that area wasn't properly finished. I've been getting my nails done for 7 years, so I know the difference. I initially let it go, but after paying and leaving a tip, it continued to bother me. I called the salon right afterward, and they didn't answer. That felt very unprofessional. The good: Jimmy of excellent. Very talented. I am amazed how great his art work is. I had one pedicure with Tonya who was amazing. Best pedicure I had in a long time. The bad: I went in the app and no appointments. I called the shop to find out Jimmy was out until 5/5. I called in early April. Left me high and dry. No one notified me that he was leaving, including Jimmy. Was he on vacation? Was he fired? Who knows. I'm a big tipper and regular customer so I was disappointed no one cared to tell me. Every time you bin you pay $20. Even if you reschedule. I had to prove I booked 3 times to get a $60 credit.
