We always look forward to a return visit to Ore Nell's Barbecue whenever we're in the area. The food, drinks, and laid-back atmosphere never disappoint. To start, my wife enjoyed a refreshing Summer Hammock mocktail while I sipped on a tall can of Lone Pine Brewing Company ale. We shared a tasty kale salad along with a half-pound of incredibly flavorful brisket that was perfectly smoked and tender. Our sides -- cole slaw and potato salad -- were both excellent and rounded out the meal nicely. Dessert sealed the deal: the smoked carrot cake was so good we practically scraped the bowl clean to get every last bite. Another fantastic meal from start to finish, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

I am giving this place 4 stars based on what I believe will be better than what i experienced. We didn't taste enough to really give it a good enough rating. The place is nice looking and has a great feel. The service was friendly and quick. We started with the jalapeño cornbread. It was amazing. Would definitely go back for that alone. Next we got fried loaded baked potatoes. I got brisket with mine. I didn't love the sauce but it was ok. The brisket was good and tender. The potato was a good idea but the execution fails. It's just to hard to try to eat a big chunk of potato with toppings. It didn't taste bad. The jalapeño bacon was so good on top. We finished with dessert the molten cake was good but messy and the banana pudding was ok but could use more banana. Overall this place is decent and I think worth the try. I just can't vouch for any of the sides.

Stopped by for take out! Never disappointed. We grabbed food and stopped by one of our local breweries to meet with the kids and grandkids. Quick and easy ordering online. Be prepared to grab your own plastic wear. Quick local stop took care of that. Food is excellent!

This is a difficult review for me, as I do appreciate Ore Nells and have been several times. Overall I would say the food is decent, and reasonably priced with a good selection. (They even offer vegan options, which is interesting as a BBQ joint). Today I stopped in for lunch and got the BBQ for 2 with the Mac n cheese, Cole slaw and the cashew queso with chips. The meat was a little dry, but not so bad it was off putting and I was surprisingly impressed with the cashew queso. However, there is one thing that really ruined this experience for me; customer service. Our waiter seemed nice enough, but he was simply too concerned watching a soccer game behind the bar to refill my soda. Silly I know, had the place been packed I would have just drank the awful cup of Biddeford city water he brought over when we got there. But to simply ignore us after bringing the food? Beyond annoyed.

Good bbq many options. We did take out. They didn't have any plastic ware but 7-11 across the street does. Friendly staff. Solid food options

Our household is split on Ore Nell's! I enjoyed the food and the overall vibe of the restaurant, but my husband wasn't as impressed -- he prefers some of the other barbecue options in town. We went for dinner on a Friday night and found plenty of open seats. The atmosphere was refreshingly unpretentious, with cozy booths that made us feel tucked away and relaxed. Service started strong but fizzled out as the night went on. Our server stopped coming by for water refills, forgot the bread we ordered, and never followed up on my second drink request. Now, the food. This is where the divide really shows. I enjoyed the barbecue (minus the sides), but my husband didn't feel the same way. We ordered the barbecue for two, which comes with a little bit of everything, and added the half chicken -- it was way too much food! The meats were solid overall, with good flavor and texture, though the pork was a bit bland for my taste. Unfortunately, the sides were a big miss. The macaroni was underwhelming, and the collard greens were only saved by the sprinkle of paprika on top. The potato salad was the best of the bunch but still nothing remarkable. On the bright side, the cocktails were great; well-made and reasonably priced. The cornbread special we had as an appetizer was also really good. I would still go back, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Everything was delicious but the specials were just that. The cornbread was crazy good and the Brussels were very tasty. Highly enjoyed the jalapeño sausage as well. Legitimate heat.

This the bbq for two however enough for three

Found a relatively new place in Biddeford Maine. They have been open for just a little more now for two years it is a place to hit for the best BBq in the state. The owner is from Texas so the business knows what they are doing. There are two places right now the other is in Kittery Maine which I was told was a very nice place right on the water. I will be at that place next year when we get up here for the summer. But to get back to this restaurant it has a western type atmosphere with plenty of seating. We were met by the hostess with a smile and seated without any wait. Not to be out done by the server who was very courteous and she made sure the food and drinks came out in a timely manner. Ore Nell's has the best cornbread I have ever eaten and the bbq is amazing. This is definitely a bbq place on our radar and should be on yours when in the area.

Nice BBQ, although I still prefer Smoke. People were nice and we got a nice table. It's almost like a sports bar. They told us they're from outside of Houston, Sugarland. Parking can get busy but there's some good street parking available.

New spot in Biddeford, this place was great! My group ordered a variety of items and they were all delicious. The banana pudding Service was great and quick for takeout. We got everything we ordered. Looking forward to dining in here! The inside is dark which is nice for eating messy bbq lol. Definitely recommend trying this place.

My husband and I are in Maine for vacation this week and wanted something different for supper. He found this facility online and we were so glad he did! The food was absolutely amazing. He got the 1/2 rack of ribs, Mac and cheese and fries. I got 1/2 lb pulled pork, Mac and cheese and cornbread. The cornbread was out of this world... the bbq sauce was put on the side which was nice so you could add as much or as little as you wanted. The building was so cute and had a great vibe when you walked in. The service was great, hostess was very friendly. Highly recommend!

    Welcome to Ore Nell's!

Brisket was excellent. Service was fast and courteous. Could use some sound-deadening materials to reduce noise.

No reservations, you put your name in and wait. We waited about an hour and a half, and I can confidently say it was worth it! The menu is small with only a handful of options, but they clearly know what they do and do it WELL. I had the cheeseburger with fries (no bun), and MAN, that burger was cooked to perfection. So juicy, and the fries were perfectly golden with just the right amount of crunch. My husband got the tuna salad and made it a melt, this was actually his birthday wish, so we HAD to make the trip! He said it was one of the best tuna salads he's ever had. You know the food is good when both of us are sitting there silently eating. Both of our counter servers were so friendly and the service was great. If you're in the Kennebunkport area and have the time, Palace Diner is a MUST. Absolutely worth the wait and DEFINITELY lives up to the hype!

Very limited menu and waitress told us the 2 specials. One was omelette of the day Broccoli and Swiss (not to special) and their blueberry pancakes. Menu prices are a bit high than what you usually pay anywhere else. I got the omelette and it was pretty small looked like a burrito Tasted good and fresh. My wife got the breakfast sandwich. It was good, but was a little overpowered by the sliced jalapeños (fresh)on it Both our breakfasts came with "palace potatoes " which are a different spin on homefries. My guess is a par boiled potatoes that the smash a little then deep fry and add salt. They were good, crunchy but creamy on the inside. The coffee was ok. First cup tasted a little burnt but the refill was better. Customer service was great. Waitress was attentive, checked in after 2 bites and heated my coffee several times while I ate. The price was $48 for two people we had thought about splitting an order of pancakes or corned-beef hash($11) but it was too pricey. It was a good experience, clean restaurant, friendly people and ok food but too expensive for breakfast. Had breakfast the day before at Twin City diner. Food was just as good ( except their home fries) and a better value.

We were able to park right out front of the store front. Before we got off of the Pike, we ordered 2 pizzas.....one cheese and one veggie. When my wife was finished ordering and before she was told how long it would be before pick-up, the clerk told her the total price ($53.22). When I heard the price, I almost went off the road but I would find out later that it was well worth every cent! I went in to watch the process, which I love to do. It was a pretty busy Sat evening, for sure. Only one size of pizza....all large. Pizza orders of 8, 4 and 5 were pumping out the kitchen! Three workers and one register clerk made up the staff. There are 4 small tables and chairs if you want to eat-in, as well. When our order finally came out, I was a bit hesitant. I am a fan of lightly cooked and no bubbles. The pizza, when it was being cut, looked charred up a bit and had a bubble or two. As I walked to the car, I was not very confident that things would turn out the way they did. When we each started to eat the pizza, we were both thrilled with everything.....crust, cheese, overall taste and cook-style! The veggie was "delicious" and the cheese pizza was in the Louie's class (Woburn, MA). Boy, were we happy! The price was a little high but very well worth it. You get what you pay for! The thing that's frustrating it the hours and then posting on social media an hour or so after they open saying "sold out" already. This business has been around for a few yet it seems like they make a handful of doughs and then close. Why have hours then because when you try to show up if you don't check social media or their online ordering you will be out of luck. Why not make more pizza dough if you know you are busy and people enjoy it? Also tried to order online and got charged, showed up and they said they never got my order and I would need to figure out the charges with my bank. Connect with the bank and they tell me the restaurant refunded me already and it's processing. So it seems like once again they ran out of dough even though I ordered online ahead of time when it opened. Just unfortunate experiences I have had all around.
