I do not understand how this place has so many bad reviews. I've never been to Colombia but I lived in Miami and have had REAL Colombian food. M The service was great. We sat ourselves but got attended right away. It's a small place with not a lot of space but has a good vibe and the music is what you would expect for a Latin restaurant. I only say that because some people said it was too loud. They have a banquet hall which we did NOT do but the music was fine and good. The food was DELICIOUS. Is it the best Colombiano food I've ever had? No, but it was very good. The empanadas and the papá rellena was delicious. I had the Bistec Encebollado and it was delicious. Their picante is so good. The food was delicious and priced well. Everyone saying it's too expensive is crazy. McDonald's costs more than this place and the food is no where near as much or good. I have been to many Colombian restaurants and this is the worst by far. They have a animal feed grade steak with the name churrasco. 16.99 for a piece of meat not meant for human consumption. We had a waitress that didn't speak a word of English, so that made for an awkward experience. There was another waiter that did speak English, who helped out momentarily. You would've thought that knowing that there was a language barrier, that they would've reassigned the waiter who spoke English to our table. Nope. On one hand, I was walking into a Colombian restaurant - so I could completely understand that the employees would speak Spanish as their native language (and that a large volume of their clientele were also native Spanish speakers). On the other hand, this was in Lawrenceville, Georgia so I believe that there is a reasonable expectation that they would be able to communicate with English speaking customers. You would think... Due to the language barrier, we were largely ignored. We ordered by pointing at menu items on the menu. Most of our order arrived. Since we were ignored by our waitress after our food was delivered, I had to go to the English speaking waiter to get the check which we ended up paying at the bar. For what its worth, the food was decent. Ordered empanadas. I liked the fried cornmeal shells with the potato and beef filling. Yum. Ordered Queso con Chorizo. The melted queso arrived with the whole chorizo sausage, but we never got arepas to go with it. Awkward. The chorizo was very flavorful. Finally, we had also ordered Bistec a la Criolla (steak in a creole-style sauce). Tasty, but unwieldy. Obviously, the service (or lack thereof) made us feel completely unwelcome... ruined the entire dining experience. read more

Service: Upon entering they told us to seat ourselves which was fine but it took over 5 minutes to get menus and a drink order. The waitress promptly brought my water but it took over 15 minutes for the waitress to realize that my husbands juice had not been delivered. After that the waitress came over a few times a asked if we needed anything which was appreciated. When it came time to get our bill my husband had to go get it from the bar. Food: We had a hot dog and plain arepa with sausage. The hotdog was good but the arepa was cold and they had to reheat it. The blackberry juice with milk was also really tasty. This was our third time there and the other two times the service was also not very good and the food was nothing extraordinary so based on that we will probably not be going back. read more

This place is most slower service that I have been, they took like 25 minutes to take our order, and another 45 minutes to bring the order to our table. I ordered from doordash. An arepa and a couple empanadas. Food was kind of bland and i didn't get any sauce or anything with my dishes. It wasn't terrible or anything though. The problem is that I ate this around 8 pm and around 11pm I was projectile vomiting in the bathroom. NEVER NEVER going back agin despite the fact that the food is wonderful. IF I am not going to be treated or be acknowledge with respect as a patron, I will not spend my money there, Thanks to the awful customer service from TATIANA I will not be returning and will express and advise that you go to Mi cafetal or many other places around Lawrenceville where they actually are glad you are there. We always go there and the food is good! We had our little bad experiences like too salty and chicharron not crunchy enough, but other then that the food is good. Muy casero. I do have to complain about the servers, I understand is a Colombian restaurant and the girls(servers) want to look beautiful, but hygiene comes first. No server should have their hair down when serving food. It is mandatory by Health Inspection to have your hair in a pony tail, and just for precaution of getting hair into the food! read more
