Welp,,, That was the Worst Excuse for Lasagna I've ever had . It was sausage and uncooked spinach with some watery cold tomatoes in a dish with a slice of lasagna noodle on top covered by baked and burnt cheese !!! Keep trying Oregano's, you'll either get it or you won't. I'm Betting on Won't and I'll never go there again !!! . We love Oregano's. We've done carry out now 3 times during the dine closures due to Covid-19. First two experiences were great, last one, not so much. We've been pleased with all the special offers they've had and I was super excited about the Mother's Day Bellini special. I called at 4 pm, thinking I was beating the rush, but was told it would be 2 1/2 hours. I then called another location and was told an hour but was put on hold til I got disconnected so I called this location back. It was now a 3 hour wait for food. We'd had a later lunch so decided to place an order. We were told food would be ready in about 3 hours. We showed up 2 hours and 40 minutes later, 20 minutes before we were told our food would be ready, we were ok with waiting for hot food. When we walked in, we were in shock of all the bags of food just sitting around at all the tables. It appeared that there were premade salads too just sitting in the back area behind the bar. Things were organized in groups by the first letter of your first name. After paying we checked in with someone who checked on our order, to our surprise, it was sitting on a table waiting for us. We wondered how long it had been sitting waiting. All our food was room temperature. The flavor was ok but that was about it, food was soft and mushy and not even warm. We would have complained but everyone was so stressed we just reheated things at home. Still didn't make it the great Oreganos food we are used to. I'm hoping we don't get any type of food poising from our food sitting out for who knows how long. I think they bit of more than they could chew on this deal. They should have stopped taking orders. I know people would have been upset. Maybe take down peoples emails or mailing address and send coupons for $1 bellinis once they reopen? I would have been fine with that. What I got for Mother's Day was basically $50 worth of food that was no where near the quality that I've gotten all the other times. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, I use yelp more to browse and laugh at people lying about "bad service" or "bad food" but I figured I'd leave a review for this location of Oregano's. It was my first time in an Oregano's ever, and this location always stuck out so I figured I'd go in and try it. It was a Saturday night at about 7:30 and so it wasn't too busy. There was a little bit of a wait for a table but my date and I didn't mind. We got sat and our server/ the bartender came over to greet us, took our order, and went back to work. I ordered a beer but had to remind her about it, which is fine, I forget things as well. But when the food came I knew something was wrong, I ordered the Cajun pasta with sausage added (there was no sausage) and my date's order was completely wrong. It could've been a kitchen mess up or maybe it was her, but we were hungry and didn't really care at that point. NOW comes the bill, of course we were full and ready to go, we dropped the card when she dropped the check and didn't bother looking at it. She gave our check to the table behind us and gave us their check, we ended up paying for each other without knowing it until the cards were already ran. I would understand if all this happened because it was slammed packed in there and she got confused. But there were maybe 5 or 6 tables inside so it was dead and within 30 minutes the whole meal and bill got messed up. The "Chicago Style" pizza I ordered had an obviously previously pre-baked and frozen crust, collapsed and dry. Hardly edible and barely filled--NOT a Chicago pizza. Every order I've placed with them (only one for a Chicago pie) has taken over 2 hours. This is a picture of a piece from a "Chicago Style" pizza. Had pasta delivered as I just had dental surgery and softer is best. Food was excellent, well packaged, good portions.

A friend of mine and I went to dinner there on Monday evening. My friend and I ordrerd two lasange dishes, calamari and we split a salad. The salad had lots of lettuce, two thinly sliced tomatoes, cucumbers and two peppercinis. Not thrilled. Next came the calamari that tasted like it was made several hours ago and put into the fryer before it made it to our table. It was tasteless and was sent back to the kitchen. Next came the lasagne dishes which were tasteless. My friend and I were thoroughly digusted with our meal. Our server was very accomodating however, so I didn't have the heart to inform her that the lasagne tasted about as bad as the calarmari. We took the left over lasagna home. The following night I went in and spoke with the manager, Chris. I told him about our experience on Monday evening and he stated that we should come back and try them again. It was not mentioned that a comp dinner would be available for us. I thought that a manager would try and make a bad experience better. I guess that Oregano's will not be on my list for good Italian food. EVER! read more

Fast Italian. love the Pablo Picasso salad and the gold flavor wings! Their pizza cookies are to die for as well! Thy have different cookie flavors and you can even do Half and half if you can't just do one flavor. The decor is older with a lot of knickknacks posted on the wall and random black and white TVs playing with no sound. The service is always good. Fun and tasty enough. There were 2 of us for a late dinner. One had the chicken parm, and the other had stuffed manicotti. The parm was good, but the portion size - well, let me put it this way - if we were hosting a Sunday afternoon pool party, I'd order 3 of them and replate them and they would serve 6-8 of us. Claim Jumper-esque portions. If you're sensitive to tomato sauces, order something without here, because they are very good tasting, but also quite acidic. I'm eager to go back and try a white pizza. Also, staff is fun, music is a trip and the overall design of the place is a cozy throwback to Happy Days. Love it. read more

Oreganos's has always been a great and affordable go to for a date night or quick lunch. The portions are huge and they work quickly to get your food to you hot and fresh! They had a deal where you get two pasta dishes and dessert for 24.99 for Valentine's day so we decided to go for it. I placed my order online and arrived maybe 2-3 minutes before the promised time. I was greeted outside at a podium by two friendly masked employees that were happy to let me use their very clean restrooms inside while I waited. My food needed about 5-10 more minutes to be ready. While inside I was able to see that they are doing a great job with spacing out seating and avoiding the typical overcrowding that Oregano's gets. When I came out the girl asked me name again and said my food was ready! She came out very quickly with our food ready to go and packaged nice and neatly! I had one more stop and was amazed that the ice cream did not melt in the 30-40 minutes it took me to get home. They really are doing a great job to keep everyone safe during this pandemic but if you're not comfortable ordering for carry out yourself or dining in they also deliver through door dash and usually have no delivery fee. By now you're probably wondering why I gave them 4/5 and not 5 stars- simple their food never lacks in size but sadly their pasta lacks in sauce and seasoning! We also ordered 1/2 peanut butter 1/2 white chip macadamia nut cookie and got chocolate chip instead of peanut butter. So....salt that water guys and double check those orders! We went here because we were given a gift card. I wasn't expecting much since I could tell from the start it wasn't really going to be my jam (family dining, huge portions, every entree has your entire calorie allotment for the whole day) but I figured generally, pizza is pizza. We got a thin crust pizza with sausage, pineapple, and black olives. It was a long wait for the pizza, and it was pretty underwhelming. The crust was super super thin, like tortilla thin, with waaaay too much cheese, making it hard to hold. They were generous with the sausage but skimped on the other toppings. On the menu they brag about the cheese but personally, I don't really want cheddar cheese on a pizza. It felt very very Americanized and pretty overpriced for a pizza. I will say that our server, Owen, was very friendly and attentive, but I doubt we'll be hitting this place up again anytime soon. read more

I ordered the bruschetta tonight to go, and once my aunt brought it home for me to eat, I was instantly upset. The food item that I received was DEFINITELY NOT bruschetta. I got a few pieces of bread with some cheese sprinkled on top, and some diced tomatoes on the side. THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT BRUSCHETTA!!!!!!!!! It PAINS me to write this review. For nearly 20 year Oregano's has been a favorite. From the Original I. old Town I was hooked. My 7 and 8 year olds call Oregano's their favorite. So, when I had any choice for my birthday dinner, I enthusiastically chose Oregano's. We were even prepped for a long wait. What I wasn't prepped for was the terrible experience. There wasn't a single redeeming moment. We arrived at 4:45. They were slammed, or seemingly so. We are familiar with comments that their pizza oven is backed up. We waited an hour for our table. There were literally 5 empty booths - so they put us at the handicap one with two chairs and a bench!!?!? We couldn't even ask for the empty table beside us because the hostess was gone in a flash. Strike one. What I cannot tolerate is horrible service capped off with poor management. Next come so many problems and misses I lost track... 1. No dough brought for kids (never before an issue) had to ask - ok maybe I'm just being picky with this one. 2. Order 1 large beer 2 kids drinks and 1 ice tea - no sweetener or straw for tea. Beer takes 10 minutes. Two separate requests to get sweetener and straw. 3. Wait and wait and wait some more - finally flag Sam down for a refill on my long empty iced tea - he says nothing about status of food. Table seated well after us finishes and leaves. We are still waiting - 40+ minutes - for 1 kids buttered noodles, 1 kids ravioli, 1 Big Rig, 1 small thin pesto pizza (our normal get it most times order). 4. Flag down manager (believe her name is Nicole) and ask for an update on our food. She apologizes saying she will buy us dessert (should've been free anyway given the birthday, but I was ok with it at this point). Food comes out a few minutes later. NEVER see manager Nicole again. At this point, the 5 tables seated AFTER us are finished eating. 5. Trying to remain positive girl's dinners and my Big Rig are fine. Pizza is burnt, greasy and completely inedible. Waiter or manager nowhere to be found. We are over the one hour mark since being seated. Husband tries to suffer thru middle of pizza. It's gross. 6. Waiter finally checks in. We say the pizza wasn't really very good. He said oh, was it slimy from the grease? He will go see if there is any way to discount it (never offered to feed my husband anything else). I order cookie because I'm sure that will take another loooong time but the whole point was dessert. Waiter takes NONE of the 5 dirty plates on the table. 7. Sam comes back acting like they did us a favor taking the pizza off and adding you are already getting the cookie. Seriously, if he would have spent 2 minutes with us he would have heard the birthday conversation. Birthday = free cookie. He then asks if we are ready to pay. WE DON'T EVEN HAVE THE COOKIE! He takes the pizza away. Touches none of the dirty dishes. 8. Before cookie comes he again asks if the bill is ready for him to take - it's not. In turn I hand him the stack of dirty dishes. 9. We eat the cookie, try to salvage the evening and ask the name of the manager who could not be bothered to come to our table's name as we walk out the door. Hostesses say her name is Nicole. If this is a sign of the "New Oregano's" you will have lost a loyal following for good. There are far too many alternative ways for this family to spend nearly three hours on a Saturday. Not being accountable for your errors, whatever and however many there are, is simply a telltale sign of poor management. read more

Both times I've had oreganos have been amazing. The first time I went in I had a peach Bellini, shrimp scampi, and bruschetta as an appetizer. The shrimp scampi was one of the best I've ever had. The shrimp were huge and the portion was too, I had enough leftover for two other meals. I like the bruschetta with a little more garlic which was my only complaint about that. The peach Bellini was strong and tasty. The second time I ordered Oreganos through postmates and it was so good. It actually came hot and fresh. I had the boom dip and it was the best spinach artichoke dip I've literally ever had. It wasn't as heavy on the cream which I enjoyed. The bread for it was so crispy and garlicky just how I like it. I had the Alfredo after dark and it wasn't like traditional Alfredo. It wasn't drowning in Alfredo sauce and had a good amount of flavor from the southwest twist on it. The only bummer is that there was a wait when I went the first time and had to sit in the heat but it's Arizona in the summer so nothing they can do about that. read more

The only issue I had with this place was the time it took for my groups food to arrive. We ordered a Chicago deep dish pizza, a sausage sandwich, a thin crust pizza and a meatball sub. It took about an hour and fifteen minutes for it all to come out. Our waiter did let us know the deep dish would be about 45 to 50 minutes. Once an hour hit, we got a little antsy. With all that being said, the food tasted really good. The deep dish had the perfect amount of cheese and the crust is something that I'd chow down on by itself. The sausage sandwich was pretty good too. The provolone cheese was melted over the sausage perfectly. Oregano's has been a family favorite for years, there was a time we went nearly every week. Our family of seven went on Sunday this past week to enjoy a meal together. One of my family members has a disability and so we requested to sit on the patio. We always do this, no problem at all. We enjoy that the patio just has two tables which is just the right size for our family and the fact that it is completely away from all other guests, so very COVID friendly. I noticed as we walked up that the patio was already empty, which was excellent. When we arrived we were quoted 5-10 minutes. Then after about 15 minutes we asked if it was time, the answer was no and that it would be an additional 25-40 minutes. I walked around the building and sure enough, the patio was still empty. I complained to the host and he rolled his eyes but still took us back. As he took us back he tossed the menus onto the table and walked away. He didn't even wait for our whole party to get to the patio (everyone who was behind the family member in the wheelchair didn't even see him once he left the host stand). The tables were maybe 2 feet from one another. We pushed them together as we are one family and we have always sat together. Host boy runs back out to tell us to separate the tables because it is a health code violation. He may want to be careful saying things like this because I have no problem calling the health department to have them evaluate the situation. We asked for the manager, he came out and was adequate. He wasn't extremely pleasant but did his job well enough that we were fine. He explained it is actually just company policy but since these were the only two tables on the patio he would "make an exception"....oh joy. Notice, someone (either manager or host) was blatantly lying. My vote is for the manager as he tried to tell me I was lying about the wait times. I made a phone call after putting our name in so I had a time stamp, maybe try not to accuse your customers of lying. The plates that were brought to the table for apps were dirty and our waitress was overall unattentive. So much so we had to walk in to find her to place our dessert order and to pay our bill (after waiting 20-30 minutes to do each of those things). Overall poor experience and likely won't be returning for quite some time. Bring Sean back, he was an amazing manager that not only customers loved but employees did as well. Each manager since he moved to Irvington (and then left) has been just adequate but not great. read more

We expected the long wait, so that wasn't an issue for us. Bonus that there were heaters outside! I will say that was a really nice touch. However, beyond that it really wasn't worth the money, if I'm being honest. We were so excited to try some Chicago deep dish here in Tucson, as we're huge fans of Giordano's Pizza in Chicago. We ordered garlic bread, spinach and artichoke dip, scampi pasta, and a custom pizza. The garlic bread is delicious! The dip was terrible. There was hardly any cheese in it, and it was mostly a very greasy oil, which wasn't very appetizing. I am almost convinced our marinara for the breadsticks was leftover from another table, as it was dripping down the side and half-full. I abandoned the dip after a few bites because it was simply inedible. The minute I bit into it, the oil just dripped everywhere, and it honestly wasn't tasty--more like someone's Pinterest attempt at spinach and artichoke dip that massively failed. The pasta was insanely delicious, though it did have that same greasy oil. We were able to eat around it, though. The shrimp were amazing! The pizza, though. Where do I begin? I spent $30 on a custom pizza and barely managed to finish a slice. I'm not sure what happened with the recipe, but it was incredibly salty! I **love** salt, and I could barely stomach this. It really tasted like someone had put 2x or 3x the amount of a normal pizza. It could have been an accident, but it was just awful. Such a waste of what could have been a great taste, because the other ingredients were pretty good. That combined with the fact that we were sat at the first booth by the door really made this trip a bust for us. My back was inches from the door and it happened to be freezing outside (odd for Tucson, I know!). It was just so strange that we had been warmer sitting outside beneath the heaters while we waited for our table than we were while sitting at our table. For the amount we spent here, we could have had a stellar teppantaki dinner of filet mignon and lobster bites. We ended up ordering the Parmesan chicken and I had the diablo pasta with chicken. Both were very good. The chicken on the parm was nice and crisp on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside.
