I have ordered several custom orders from Horseplay the items have come in VERY quickly (no calling asking if my order was in). Sam the owner has been in the "horse industry" forever. She was able to find me a pair of tall boots that fit like a glove and didn't break the bank. I've needed vet supplies for a horse recovering from surgery and they have delivered to me same day. Last time I was in the store I joked they needed to stop ordering such cute stuff because I wanted it all. The upside: when I have a birthday/holiday I can now just direct friends and family to horseplay because they truly can't go wrong If you have horses or just want cute to wear boots for around town don't bother looking at other stores this is the place. Oh and the store dog, Batman, entertains my kids while I shop!

I was greeted politely upon entering and the cashier was super friendly, asking for advice on gardening... to the point that she took notes on my recommendations. I don't live in the area, so I'm not sure how their prices compared to averages for Bend, but coming from Alaska, the prices were really good. I'd definitely go back and have even looked for other Wilco stores during my travels.

The food I typically buy from them had a 37% price hike in one week's time. There was no warning or communication to their regular customers. I budget for my dog food so I was surprised and upset. I do admit I was angry, but I was angry at the price not the person. And instead of being understanding, the woman at the counter got snarky, and reactive with me and said they 'couldn't help brand mark ups'. It made me feel like they were saying we don't care that you are too poor for our food.. take a hike. So I did. Really unacceptable price gouging and customer service. Jace then told me she was UNABLE to honor because she needed PHYSICAL proof. I then expressed you should have the flyers state PHYSICAL proof... And proceeded to ask if she could still honor it since the flyer doesn't state physical.. she replied with "we are working on it..." One of the staff had been through it herself on moving to Bend from PDX. All of her pets developed bladder crystals due to the high level of minerals here in the water. She told me what I would need to do (switch to distilled water) and what supplements to use. My pup is allergic to corn and the vet told me he would have to be on a special corn diet for bladder crystals for the next two months. She found me a food over Chewy that was not corn-based and recommended another food brand that has been a game changer for both of my pups to supplement with until the Chewy order arrived. Fast forward to the 4th of July. I spoke to another knowledgeable staff member about my other dog's anxiety with firewords and she made recommendations that were so effective, we decided to curb his anxiety naturally from now on with the 2 products she gave us samples of. My pup was like a puppy again, playful, cuddling, tender, soft. We appreciate their return policy, too, that allows us to make returns if needed. They have never judged us as we have been honest about pet concerns, which can be emotional.

Water was luke warm, they handed me a 1- small hand towel to dry my 19 lb dog. That only covers the face. The vacuum set up was very hard so didn't use it as my dog was freezing cold.
