This is a small restaurant in a small town. I've been stopping here with my boys for many years. Today the boys and my daughter, Madison are all heading to Chicago. We stopped in and we all got a host of great food. It was mostly chicken but some shrimp too. Veggies. Good desserts all the way around. Soup. All pretty good.bif you are heading out on 94 and are in the area, stop by. Nice family and good food.

A pleasant surprise True gem in Black River Falls Spendy, but tasty Matt G found this place on Yelp on our way down to Madison when we were looking for some lunch. Have to admit I was skeptical. Didn't think you could get decent Chinese food out in the boondocks. I was wrong. Three buffet stations with some items that were real standouts. The dumplings were fantastic. Stuffed shrimp was super tasty (think it was shrimp with egg foo young). Dynasty shrimp were kinda small, but great flavor. Crab cream cheese wontons were also delish. It was a little spendy at $11.99 considering most AYCE Chinese Restaurants in the Twin Cities are under ten dollars. However, it does include your beverage. Would gladly spend that amount for something similar in the Twin Cities.

Yum! The outside of this restaurant is deceiving, it might not look great on the outside but inside it is much better. The food was hot and fresh, they kept everything well stocked, the service was prompt, and the restaurant itself was very clean. A couple dishes I didn't care for but that is just personal taste. And I have a kid who is a picky eater and there wasn't a lot that she was willing to eat there. Overall it was a good experience.

Very nice American Chinese Buffet. Typical offerings on the buffet and a typical menu to order off of if you wish to do so. I ordered the chicken wings off the menu and had the buffet as well. The wings where nicely cooked but lacked in flavor. The buffet was fresh and everything was not warm but hot. The family that runs this place are all very nice and hard working. The only thing I wish I could of had was authentic Chinese food but I didn't see any indication of a secret menu that some places offer. I would go back if I was in the area.

Food is great! A very underrated spot! Staff is helpful not many people when you walk in so it's never too busy to be able to enjoy dining!

Stopped here while driving through Wisconsin and everything was hot and well made. Chicken on a stick was especially delicious!

Food was fantastic. Kids loved not only the ice cream, but also the egg drop soup, broccoli, and the green beans.

Is it really 4 stars? Probably not but for a small town Chinese buffet, it's pretty good.

The Market Fresh Buffet is inside the Chula Vista Resort hotel just off the main lobby. We dined…read morehere because we were visiting the water park and had the all inclusive package, which meant we got to eat at the buffet at no extra charge. The idea sounded really good, but after having dinner there two nights in a row the very thought of even smelling the food in there again made me feel nauseous. They boast that they have "live action" stations where you can have food prepared for you on the spot. The whole term, "live action station" made me think I might see people in lab coats looking at moving amoebas and other bacteria under a microscope. The truth is they are just areas where chefs who looked thoroughly bored and underpaid for such torture, fry up some pasta in a pan and serve it to the fifty people standing in line for it I don't know what the food at the "live action" stations was like, because I refused to wait in line for an hour at a buffet. But maybe I should have because.............. The rest of the food was pretty sad. The young kid we had with us loved it because they had school lunch specials there like smiley face potatoes, mini corn dogs, popcorn chicken, and spaghetti-O's!! Yay, happy fun time. Everything really was soggy, mushy, with rice filler, or strange sauces that made you think, "what the hell is this?" Even the pizza was soggy from sitting there for too long under the heat lamps. Since this is a buffet, the idea is that you help yourself. But you still have a waiter who is SUPPOSED to bring your drinks and refills thereafter. However, every time we ate there our waiter stopped by once and then disappeared only to return at the end to give you the form you had to sign as part of the all inclusive deal. On one particular night we stopped our busy waitress as she tried to run by, and asked about dessert. The buffet sucked balls so hard we thought, "hey maybe the dessert will save us." NOT. The waitress looked appalled that we asked about it. There was no dessert bar or anything like that at the buffet, instead they bring around a tray and you select what you want from the different slices of desserts. My dining companion and the kid chose cheesecake. They were teeny tiny little slices and when I asked how they tasted dining companions didn't have much to say. So it must have been mushy, flavorless crap just like the rest of the buffet. There was a lot of strangeness here. Despite the soggy, mushy, mess they served, it was awfully stinky for being so flavorless. The only thing that was nice about this place was the decor. I've heard they charge 25 dollars per person for the dinner buffet, but in reality I think they should be paying you 25 dollars to stay away so you won't give them a shitty review like this one.

It's in the Chula Vista resort, by the registration desk. Nice looking restaurant, looks good. Server was very attentive, helpful, came back frequently to check on us, answered questions easily (and correctly). Now, the not so good stuff. Way overpriced at $21.96 per person, plus 11.99 per pound if you wanted crab legs, which are not included on the buffet. Food was mediocre, some dishes had not been refreshed for a while and were pretty dried out. When fresh pans were brought out, it looked like they were probably sitting under warmers in the kitchen, as they also looked dried out, particularly the BBQ ribs. Pizza, spaghetti were both dry. Cod was moist however, and my wife said it was good. Bottom, for the price, would have expected better.

They had a whole table for chicken wings and a type of soup. I didn't have any chicken but the person I was with had some and thought it was good. They also had 2 tables of pizzas and pizza stick things. Both were very good. They had normal pizza flavors and some unique ones. They also had a table of dessert pizzas. They had a cinnamon streusel pizza (very good!) and a cookie pizza which I didn't try because by the time I got there they were out. They also a soft serve machine with vanilla ice cream. Very good variety, even if you have one in your party who doesn't like pizza. Service: Since it is a buffet style restaurant, we didn't have an actual waiter, but someone did come around twice picking up our plates, which was really nice. Ambiance: Pretty good. I like that they have Western decor. I saw a lot of complaints about the game room, but since it's in its own separate area, I didn't even notice it. Someone in my party did go in and they saw someone win the cut to win game. But the actual sitting area has a nice chill environment and seating options for large groups. Over all: I hadn't been to a Pizza Ranch in a long time and very impressed with this one, and the buffet style and lots of seats make it perfect for large groups, even if one person doesn't like pizza.
