Quite a variety of products from the orient. Not quite what I was looking for but a good find nonetheless.

I must mention their prices are also super fair and you can get a great deal on high quality items!! I am not from here, but I am a frequent visitor. I have always had a difficult time sourcing Asian grocery items until I discovered this spot. Their store holds so many surprises within its aisles. From dozens of varieties of soy sauce to specialty frozen foods and ceremonial fruits, Nikka has it all! I was looking for ingredients to make Lu Rou fan, a Taiwanese traditional braised pork, and was struggling to find the ingredients elsewhere. I came in looking for 2 types of soy sauce, shiitake mushrooms, and vegetables. They had it all! A very wonderful, kind woman assisted me and pointed me to exactly what I needed. We also had a sweet conversation about taiyaki, which I was also able to buy from here. I'm so sad I didn't get her name! If you are reading this, thank you for the help!! I have been back a few times since my first visit and each time I go it is awesome! If you are looking for specialty items or just want a new place to get groceries, stop here!!! :)

Finding something from home you haven't been able to source elsewhere makes the place feel magical. I shopped here a lot as a student at UCSB, and now I still always make a point to visit whenever I'm in town. They're always stocked up on British teas, chocolates like Cadbury's and Mars products, drinks like Ribena, and some tinned and jarred goods that you can't find at regular US supermarkets. My brother also recently found some European style back bacon in the freezer section, which I kicked myself for never having searched out properly. It's pretty hard to come by. They use the same distributor as some other companies I've found, so I'm hoping they'll be open to special orders in future. Some import items are marked up by quite a bit. Since I only visit once in awhile I tend not to mind what it costs but some items, particularly the teas and chocolates, are on the pricey side. I like that they're a reliable resource for those things, though, and mostly everything has a decent sell-by date. At the front of the store they also have a lot of dishware and home goods, which vary in quality but they have some really cute stuff.

That was until I actually went in, warmly welcomed by a lovely lady behind the counter and immediately, wonderfully all my senses overwhelmed with delectable choices. So it does look that way, but it is far from precious. There is some solid serious good food here. And lots and lots of candles, quirky candies, and too-cute- to -eat chocolate bars. Local bread, Non alcoholic mixes, cheeses, mayos, sauces, beans, frozen selection, cold drinks, cookbooks. All well curated, tempting, and fun. The buckwheat chocoloate cookies from Pinyon bakery of Ojai are craveable crazy good! Come in fresh every Thursday, $4. There is actually a pretty good selection, certainly enough to grab a basket and fill it with necessities and, of course. a unique treat that will look artistic and good out on a shelf too.

It's mainly a small grocery store carrying unique items from all over the place. Most of the items I recall seeing were spices and sauces. Some of the items can be found at a regular store (and probably for less) but this place has many items and brands that I haven't seen anywhere else. Grabbed a kombucha drink from some fancy brand and it was really good. Definitely not your everyday grocery store to stock up on food, but a great place to get some unique gifts.

I'd been doing Instacart orders from them but first time physically inside this weekend to check them out. The inside was super super clean. Major points there! In the time I was shopping around they had plenty of staff working, floors being mopped and all of the aisles were well organized and pretty. This market is a pretty standard Asian goods focused grocery store. I found about 85% of what I wanted here. I wish they had a premium sushi section and some more Hawaiian imported goods (aside from juices and sauces) but otherwise I was able to find everything I was looking for. Their hot bar is also solid. A wide selection of items to pick and I felt the pricing was reasonable. Actually throughout the whole store the prices are good compared to other grocery stores right now. I had a full bag of items for $50, good luck elsewhere getting those kinds of prices. I didn't have too much of an interaction with the staff while there, but again, lots of people working and keeping this spot in tip top shape. Also the woman working the register who checked me out was very nice. A great supermarket and I'll definitely be back more often now since checking them out.

My friend and I arrived at 8pm, checked into the event with a free ticket she downloaded from another app (I unfortunately for got the name of the app). It was pretty busy already with folks enjoying the DJ's tunes, filipino food and overall vibes. I bought the traditional Halo halo dessert (see my pic) and it was decent. Through out the night there was free gifts, contests and lots of dancing. Overall fun family event to enjoy. Seafood City is located in a strip mall. Lots of free parking. I occasionally shop here for speciality asian items that I couldn't find at Island Pacific. Prices are a bit steeper here. Service is decent here, for both the food court and supermarket.
