This is the 3rd wig shop I've been to in search for a wig for Halloween and this is the store where I finally found one. They have a large selection of wigs at different price points, starting at $50 and on up. The owner was super helpful in helping me to find and try on a bunch of wigs. You have to wear a cap to try on a wig on which is good for hygiene reasons. Also, you can't try on the wigs yourself because they are delicate and she wants to make sure they don't get damaged. Reasonable request. Lastly, she does not allow pictures in the store. I don't know why but it's her prerogative so respect her rules and in exchange she'll give you a good product at a decent price. read more

Today my 83 year-old aunt asked if I could take her wig shopping. I have alopecia so I have been wearing wigs for years. We saw this store in passing and went in with the intention to buy a wig for her and a new one for me as well. The owner seemed to be working alone and she was busy with another client so as a very experienced wig wearer, I started to help my aunt. The owner was very rude and told us we could not touch the wigs because the lace would rip (even tho I told her I wear lace wigs every day!) When she finally started helping us my aunt asked if she could change the part and the owner would not allow her to even touch the wig, let alone part it. She said, "you cannot do anything until you buy it." When I asked to try on a wig she said "only if you are going to buy it!" This is only a tiny part of a really awful experience. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on wigs. This lady was so rude we left without purchasing anything. We will take the $5000 budget we had set aside for today and spend it at another shop that has decent service. Her loss! read more

I was visiting from Phoenix and excited to get a new wig and chose this place based off of some reviews. Let me be clear. This place is horrible. The owner was extremely rude. He told me I could only try on a wig if I was going to buy it. This was off-putting but I still wanted to buy a wig. He then told me I first had to buy a wig cap to be able to try it on. Not very professional, but I went ahead and bought it and began to try on wigs as he hovered over me and told me not to touch others. At that point I should have walked out, but I went ahead and bought the one I had my eye on. I got home and was able to try the wig on fully when I noticed it was a used wig. It had been trimmed and also crimped by the roots. Not only was I angry that I didn't have the chance to fully inspect it before I bought it, but I couldn't believe they would sell a USED wig. After trying on several less expensive wigs I was ready to buy a $400 wig. My sales lady had tried to avoid letting me try the more expensive wig until finally, I was allowed to put it on. This was the birthplace of probably my greatest Halloween costume ever. I went as my co-worker and friend Candace, and as you can see from the corresponding picture it was an incredibly beautiful work of art. Outside of the nostalgia I'll always have for this shop, it really was an excellent experience. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I showed them a few photos of what I was looking for and in just a few minutes I had several options to choose from. I wanted to like this wig shop. I've had only inexpensive wigs in the past, besides a really beautiful one with a unicorn horn. Anyhow, i walked in and could tell it was a family owned shop. Charming!! I asked if there was a safe way to try the wigs on and they said yes but you have to purchase something to cover your hair. They said it was $1.10 and i was happy to pay that. The young man told me that the woman would help me and find me the perfect wig. I was looking for classic colors: platinum, red or black. I was not sure what would look best with my skin tone. So i wanted try try a few different colors and styles. I was informed the wigs were very expensive ($180) - not that bad! And then i was told i could only try on one more. The young man said that people come in just to try on the dogs and don't buy anything. Ok. awkward. How is that supposed to make a customer feel? I live in Oceanside and would rather have a cool local shop to go too. But they obviously didn't want my business. I said ok. And they wouldn't help me or talk to me anymore. I am not sure if they e ever been shopping for anything before, in clothing stores - not every person that goes in - buys something. Not every customer finds what they are looking for. I've tried on thousands of dollars worth of clothes and not bought anything. Then again I've tried on nearly that much worth of clothes and bought everything. Don't judge a book by its cover and if you don't want customers, or don't want them trying your wigs on - change your policies. They were happy to help in the beginning but then made me feel bad and ran me out. I'd rather give my money to someone who cares about customer service. Sorry this is gonna be long: I absolutely do not recommend this wig store, especially if you are a person of color or dress a certain way. The store owner clearly stereotypes! I went in with my husband (Black) my friend (White) and her boyfriend (White) and initially the man who works there was very friendly to both my friend and I, he explained to us that his wife was very good at picking out wigs and she would help us try on anything we want but we have to pay for a stocking cap. I was fine with that, no big deal. But when his wife came over she totally brushed me aside and began dotting on my friend! She pulled her to the other side of the room and left me standing there like I didn't exist. She sat her down in a chair and out the wig cap on for her, picked out a few wigs and began swooning over how beautiful she looked in the wigs. Meanwhile, I just walked around the store and looked at the wigs on my own, totally ignored by the staff. There was a second women in the store who was following my husband around and giving him dirty looks! I spotted a wig over by where my friend was sitting and wanted to see the price tag (which was conveniently tucked behind the wig) and the women turned away from my friend and pounced on me! She literally snatched the wig from my hand and said "Don't touch it! You'll tangle the hair!!" I was like "ok? Sorry." So at that point I was done. I wasn't about to purchase ANYTHING in that store after being treated like that. I didn't see any signs that say don't touch and my friend had been pulling wigs off the shelf the whole time. After seeing the women jump down my throat my friend got up from the chair and the women turned to her and said "wait?? You're not buying wig? You said you wanted wig" and we both said "nahhh no thanks." The shop keepers looked disgruntled as we left but oh well! First off, Black women LOVE a good weave/wig (I was literally wearing a wig that day!!) so if she had treated me like a CUSTOMER I probably would have purchased several wigs! But she was so caught up giving all her attention to my friend that she lost a sale. If that's how they want to run their business, good luck to them. The shop owners are extremely rude!!! I do not recommend if you are a POC! When I walked in with my husband we were not greeted but no buggy as there was a really cute older lady trying on wigs As we started looking at styles and looking at the placard to see the different colors in certain styles we were approached by the lady that worked there. I asked for a color in a two toned bob that they had on the 2nd shelf in front of the register and she bought it out and I asked her to open the package so I can see the color without the glare of the plastic. (Which most wig shops don't mind doing) and also that I would like to see a half up do in the same color and instead of answering the question she replied with "are you going to buy now) We just looked at each other and answered politely "yes we were" as she bought out the 2nd wig she held tight to it with 2hands as I'm trying to explain the color variation to my husband and I had to ask her to turn her hands with me , which she did reluctantly. She then proceeded to say she had other customers that were there before us and that we were basically 3rd in line. My husband stated that that was ok and that we understood. He proceeded to look at the top shelf of wigs to the left if your standing in front of the register and seen a different wig and I'm short so my husband being over 6ft had no problem reaching as we were looking at the colors the husband said something to his wife and comes over and takes the mannequin out of his hands ..... I'm honestly just repulsed and obviously furious . No one even offered to let me try on a wig I couldn't see the wig but was expected to buy it while others were being fully catered to and I and my husband were being snapped at. I however ended up going to "Astu's beautiful hair braiding and beauty supply " and received amazing customer service. I don't usually wear wigs, but I was going to a my friend's hen party which required all of us to get some cool, colorful, retro-looking wigs for a girl's night out. This wig store had a high rating on Yelp so we decided to give this place a shot. The great thing about this store is that it's located right on the main road near the beach and pier in Oceanside. We were able to catch a movie and hang out at the beach after our shopping trip. When we entered, the two ladies who work here greeted us and made us feel welcome. They helped us to try on a variety of wigs (more fun for us, but more work for them). However, they let us try as many wigs as we wanted and laughed with us when we goofed around. They are some of the sweetest ladies I've met. Anyways, we found what we needed and the prices are fairly competitive. However, the customer service here is top-notch and they carry a lot of wigs and other beauty accessories. Love this place, and I can't wait to come back the next time I need to get a wig. read more

I buy most of my cosplay wigs here and then style them myself. The ladies that work here are very friendly and always help me to find exactly what I'm looking for. They've always offered the catalogue for me to look through to find the exact wig I want, and more than once they have called their provider for me to see if they could get specific wig styles in specific colors. For the price, these wigs are great! They wash well, they don't tangle, you can dye them well, you can style them pretty crazy with Got2BGlue no problem, you can cut them easily- I have nothing but good things to say about these wigs!!! The two ladies (I think they are the only two who work there), welcomed me and let me browse on my own to find a wig I liked that I needed for a party I was heading to later that night. They didn't try to harass me like car salesman, and for that I am glad. When I had questions, they were always there to answer my questions. I decided to go for a funky wig with red hair, and they were able to help me put it on and shape it for the punk rock theme I was going for. I visited several wig stores in the area before I came to this one. I should have come to this one first. A lovely lady runs it and she's very patient - I liked her a lot. My gripe is only that there isn't a lot of variety - at least for "Caucasian" hair. More for ethnic hair, I think.
