I read reviews and everyone talked about the fact that it was such a safe space and she was so sweet, but I felt the opposite. I felt rushed, I felt like she had a little bit of an attitude with me when I was trying to ask certain questions and I really didn't feel like she cared whether or not she helped me or not. It's been months since I went there and I tried to tell myself that everyone has a bad day but after paying $300 to see her, feeling like that, and going somewhere else for free, I just felt like I needed to say something. She charged me $300 to talk to me about Hair and spew information at me in a very quick way as if she was reciting a thoughtless monologue and then looked at my scalp for a quick minute with a camera microscope. She Then tried to sell me on 6k worth of hair extensions and laser. Then she rushed me out at the end for her next patient. I have had another more in-depth consultation, which gave me so much more peace of mind and it was free. I do not recommend going to see Melinda for hair loss, especially when you are in an emotional state because of it. I would really like a refund. She seems like the type of person though who has such a big ego she wouldn't even care about a bad review.

(I must preface this next part that I have family members who are in the industry, but just live too far for me to return to on a regular basis) Many of the stylists I tried were, non responsive, way overpriced and not very educated in their field. I tried to use yelp to find the best and many would not even return my calls. Fast forward to this past week. I thought I would give yelp one last ditch effort and chose to call Capsyl. It was a Wednesday evening- after closing time, so I did not expect a call back until the next day. It wasn't even 5 minutes later that my phone rang and I spoke with Kelly. She told me that Rebecca just received a cancellation and could get me in on Friday morning. To say I was stunned is an understatement. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. Once in Rebecca's chair, I could tell she "got me". She listened to my ideas, looked at the photos I brought in and chatted with me about her thoughts. Then she got straight to work. She was easy to talk to, we had a few laughs and she gave an AMAZING head massage. Once she started cutting my hair, I knew she knew her stuff. I could tell the techniques she was using were creating the look I was going for. She styled my hair and I really loved it. (I very rarely like how stylists do my hair after a cut and color) Her prices are very reasonable and the conversation is great. I'm so grateful to have found this little gem that is nestled up on Flower Hill. :)
